Jethrow growled a little, sure that his annoying nurse of a cousin was at the door. "Sarah, I don't--" he cut himself off as he opened the door to reveal Icarus.

Icarus jumped a little when Jethrow mistakenly yelled at her and not Sarah. Once he was quiet, she fidgeted with one of the buttons on her coat. "Can we... um... talk?"

Jethrow nodded, not trusting himself to speak. He moved aside, allowing Icarus inside. The dark room lit a few lamps around it, now that someone who wasn't a vampire was coming in.

Icarus came in and sat down in a chair, sighing a little. She then looked to the vampire, wondering if he'd actually talk. "So... What were you two talking about?"

Jethrow bit his lip as he closed the door, trying to decide if he'd tell Icarus the truth or not... "You," he finally admitted.

Icarus glanced to Jethrow when he admitted the topic was her. This was a little concerning. So she decided to press further. "What about me?"

Jethrow sat down across from Icarus and shrugged. "People who want to kill you," he said nonchalantly. But his eyes were crimson.

Icarus shrugged a little. "Well that shouldn't be any different than before." she said a bit jokingly before looking to Jethrow. "Your eyes are red."

Jethrow looked away, and refused to say anything else. He was still pretty angry. At Sarah, at vampires, at himself. He was even a little bit angry at Icarus for not realizing that her life was in some serious danger.

Icarus silently sighed as Jethrow seemed to shut down. He seemed unwilling to talk anymore. So she decided it was time to make her leave. "Thank you... for talking to me." she mumbled, heading to the door.

Jethrow stood quickly, grabbing Icarus' wrist before she could get to the door. "Wait!" he said, as the thought of those vampires that he knew were probably miles away but he was still scared of crossed his mind.

Icarus stopped and looked to Jethrow, not taking her wrist from him immediately like last time. She stared up at the vampire, wondering what he was going to do.

"It's my fault," he started. "That's what we're fighting about. It's my fault that they want to get you, and I wanted to try and protect you. Sarah thinks I should just leave, and she wanted to tell you all of this after I was gone."

Jethrow frowned. "They know about you're blood. They're vampires, like me... But not. They want you as an unlimited blood supply. It's my fault because they can find me."
