*I watch as Rose comes down*
Me: That's quite the get up you got there. You ready to head out?
*I grab my PokéBalls and head outside*

*I send out Skiddo*
Me: Well, other people can catch up.
*I start out riding as fast as Skiddo will carry me*

*We soon arrive at Black City and see events happening in White Forest*
Me: Lets check this out.
*Across some of the ponds in the forest are bridges*
Announcer: Come on and try the White Forest Nugget Bridge! Though if you can battle 3 trainers on the bridge using one type of Pokémon only, you can get something a little more special! Beat 3 trainers, get a nugget, beat 3 with one type only, get something special!
Me: Hmm... What type should I try?

"A single type, huh?" Rose asked, then headed to a nearby PC to switch out some pokemon. Since she was a member of Team Aqua, she decided to go with water types. She also took the opportunity to recharge her capture styler after sending Sylveon and Skiddo away, back where they had come from with their Guardian Signs. When she returned to the competition, Skrelp, Frogadier, Marill, and Lapras were with her. She only had the four water types, but she was confident that she could win these battles since her Lapras and Frogadier were real powerhouses.

Rose got instructions and went to her first opponent, who had a Lairon, which was a decent pokemon, but certainly at a disadvantage versus water-types. The battlefield was near the water, which also worked in her favor. After quickly discerning these things, Rose selected her Marill to go first, since it was also fairy type and she loved fairy types a lot too. Her shiny Marill headed down to the stream where she pointed as soon as her opponent gave his order to use 'Take Down', which seemed a wise enough move since rock and water were not a favorable matchup for this guy, and it was a normal type move.

Because Marill accepted Roses non-verbal direction, the smaller pokemon dodged the take down agilely "Marrill, counterattack with Superpower" Rose ordered.

The boy clearly hadn't expected a fighting type move, and neither had Lairon, both had anticipated Marrill fleeing and using a water move, but instead Marill leapt back out of the water and struck at Lairon before it could recover from the surprise.Lairon was hurled away by the smaller pokemon, flipping a few times and landing on it's back.

Using Superpower appeared to have weakened Marrill, but it still appeared to have been the best option. She guessed that it would take a lot more water attacks to do the same amount of damage and it would have more opportunities to deal damage. By using superpower, it appeared to barely be conscious and it was on it's back, vulnerable.

"Aqua Tail" Rose ordered.

Marrill rushed at it, delivering a blow that made Lairon faint.

The judge said that Lairon was unable to battle, and the boy recalled Lairon, and sent out a second Lairon.

"Lairon, use Iron Tail." the boy ordered.

Rose again used hnd gestures to instuct Marrill in how to dodge this attack, and Marrill tried to ober, with a bit less success, it dodged the attack for the most part, but was just grazed a bit, but that was intended. It was necessary to get in close. "Now!" Rose called out, and Marrill once more used Superpower, whing sent Lairon flying, though not quite as far, and didn't seem to be as powerful as the first one.

"Finish it with Hydro Pump!" Rose called out.

The boy tried to give his second Lairon orders, but stuttered a bit and was too late as Lairon was struck.

"Lairon is unable to battle" said the judge.

The boy recalled Lairon and sent out his final Pokemon, an Aggron, the evolved form of Lairon.

"Have a break, Marill, you did great." Rose told her Pokemon, not wanting her Marrill to overdo it, since Superpower was a stressful move upon it's little body. Rose called forth her Lapras in its place.

"Sing, Lapras." she told her pokemon as the boy was ordering Aggron to use earthquake, but not fast enough as Lapras's song lulled Aggron to sleep.

"Sheer Cold!" Rose ordered.

The boy tried calling for Aggron to wake up, but it was helpless, and was struck by sheer cold for a one hit knock out.

"Aggron is unable to battle." said the judge "Lapras's trainer wins and moves on to the next battle."

The boy recalled his Aggron and moved away, not very happy, he appeared to have not expected to be so humiliated.

Rose had her Lapras come back and let Skrelp start the next battle as a trainer with a cleffa, clefairy, and clefable came forward. The girl was young, maybe 8 years old, tops, so Rose was surpised to see her in this tournament, Skrelp, being part poison type, had a significant advantage.

Rose, with hre greater experience and type advantage, overcame cleffa and clefairy easily, though clefable proved to be a bit more of a challenge. At the fights conclusion, Rose ordered Skrelp to use Sludge Bomb as her opponent used Metronome, and created a thunderbolt, and both attacks hit their targets for a double-KO. Rose had three more pokemon, and her opponent had none, so she was declared the winner.

Rose told her Skrelp to have a good rest and ordered her Frogadier to prepare for the next battle as a trainer with anIvysaur, Charmeleon, and Wartortle approached. This trainer appeared to not be going single type, and she had a far more experienced aura to her then Rose's previous two opponents. At least, though, her pokemon were not fully evolved.

"You can't beat me with only one type of Pokemon." her opponent taunted "Once I beat you, I'll have my third victory and I'll get my prize while you go home with nothing, because I have a lot more flexibility then you do."

"We'll see about that." Rose answered as the opposing girl sent her Ivysaur against Frogadier, not realizing what she was coming up against.

Rose noticed that the girls three Pokemon each had a strange stone of some kind, but they were not fully evolved, so she was sure it wasn't a Mega Stone. The girl saw Rose looking at the stones "My Pokemon use Eviolite,it makes them far stronger." the girl explained "You are about to see that first hand."

"Ice Beam" Rose ordered.

"Roses oppoent had her Ivysaur use poison powder and then the battle commenced, and Rose ised ice moves while her oponent used grass moves, unaware that Frogadiers Proteon ability made it ice type and it was therefore not taking much damage from the powerful grass moves, finally leading to Ivysaur fainting.

She used Wartortle next, and thanks to Proteon Frogadier became grass-type and overcame Wartortle with grassknot, and finally the battle against Charmeleon began. Even though with water typing back Frogadier should have had an advantage, it eventually succombed to poison plus all the damage that had been dealt to it in this battle, so Rose had Marill, who had recovered from its earlier battle, come back and complete the battle, defeating their last opponent.

The eviolite had indeed made those three pokemon incredibly powerful, but not powerful enough to overcome Rose and her Pokemon.

"Wow, a Master Ball" Rose accepted the reward, thrilled "Thank you very much." she said with gratitude, slipping the master ball into a hidden pocket up one of her sleeves "I'll put it to good use."

Me: Well I guess we'll have to take care of that issue soon enough.
*I get on Skiddo and head back*

Rei stretched, slouched, and straightened his back.

"Aaaaaah," he muttered, his back popping loudly. Above him, his Zubat groaned. How long had it been since the harsh winter started? She couldn't wait until spring. Two patted her head affectionately, sympathizing with the bat.

"I feel like I've been hibernating this whole time," he grumbled, taking a peek outside. A flurry of snow blocked much of his vision. With a grunt, the Aquan closed the shades and walked downstairs. After greeting the receptionist, Rei strolled up to the kitchen and rummaged around for a bit.
