purple_hana Well, and the thing is that our personalities and habits and even likes and dislikes aren't entrenched firmly enough to chose something we want to do forever by the age of 19.... D: So how are we supposed to be accurate and efficient in choosing what to study when we probably won't be the same person in three years... And to think the kids here get sent off to college as early as 16. No wonder a lot of people I meet in college seem so miserable/lost/keep shifting courses. Me included. =U=

My cousin went through four to five "career" changes. He's now vice president of a company that does wiring for houses and sells generators.
Sounds impressive right? He mainly got it because the guy who started it went to the tech college my cousin was at and asked for the best electrical student they had. Where my cousin's at now is a combination of luck and his skill. And he likes his job I should add.
Of course things like that don't happen every day to everybody.

That's far too young. I mean, sure it's never too young to push learning, but it's far too young to have to pay for it and try to decide what you'll be doing for the next 20 years...
@Dart: Yeah, that doesn't happen every day. o_o I guess your future finds you. XD It's how I got into cake decorating. I started with my aunt's wedding cake business and now I'm perfecting my skills with my job and a freelancer who I've convinced to teach me...

But graduating from college ASAP in order to help the family out faster is a common mindset of the people in our country. Sad, but that's the way things are. :<
Err, sorry for intruding on your conversation like that. I just thought it was something worth sharing...? 'xD So, yeah. I'll be crawling back into my little hole now...

College isn't really all that hard, just overwelming. I mean, depending on where you go, there can be classes with over 100 per room, where you're just a name on a list which may or may not be checked, you're a tiny person on a huge campus, and everything that determined who you was in high school can and will grant you awesome friends but also dangerous enemies.
Of course the college I go to might as well be called "High School Part 2: More Responiblilty For You!" the classes have 40 at the most and it's reletively small. A class that's across campus from where you're at can be reached in 10 minutes at a steady pace.

Mainly because people get way in over their head. Either they forgo any kind of socal life and burn themselves out studying, or they jump head first into the parties and long nights and end up failing classes.
Just gotta pick and choose what's more important at the time. Of course it doesn't help if there's a job involved that takes up even more time....

Happy page 420 by the way haha.
And I wouldn't know, for us Peach season was from mid-May till mid-July. Of course it would be different everywhere else. Never mind Georgia is the peach state.... at least it still is for now....
