Pippa looked at him and shook her head slightly as she watched him. Her eyes were still filled with horror as she quickly moved them to the ground and sighed. "Just a past I don't want to remember but will never forget....I'm so sorry that this happened..." Shaking her body leaned against his and didn't want to move she felt so safe there but yet she knew she would have to move at some point in time. In her head she knew that things would go back to the way they used to be there was no stopping it once a slave always a slave. This is why she lived in constant fear and hated the darkness. "The dark brings chains from my past and things like that..."

Pippa... Tatsu held Pippa in his arms, the energy around him vanishing as he thought, Do you want to go take a walk somewhere? I bet if we got some fresh air you'd feel fine. Tatsu was never very good at cheering people up, and for good reason, too: People hated him, thus he had no skills in communication or helping people with problems. He only hoped that there was something he could do to cheer Pippa up. He'd done it before, and he'd somehow do it again.

Pippa nodded and stood up off the bed. "I need to clean up first though..." She grabbed a dress out of the dresser and went into the bathroom. Hopping into the shower she turned on the water and quickly washed then got out. Dressing she dried her hair and brushed it and was back out of the bathroom about five minutes later. Her tell hung down by her legs and her eyes were transfixed to the ground as she stood there. The ears that usually twitched laid flat as if scared to move as she slowly looked up to him.

Tatsu smiled at Pippa as she got out of the shower and looked up to him. Before he realized it, he'd moved his hand up to her cheek and leaning down to give her a quick kiss. He looked at her and smiled as he thought, Shall we go?

Pippa slightly pulled back from his kiss not expecting it then she slighlty smiled to him and blushed deeply on her pale cheeks. After a moment she nodded and headed for the door grabbing his shirt to make sure he didn't disappear from around her. "I'm sorry...."

Tatsu smiled as Pippa dragged him behind her, and at her reaction to his kiss. Her shyness only made him like her even more. He followed her top the dooras he thought, No, it's ok. I shouldn't have pulled that on you. So where are we heading?

Pippa shook her head and slightly smiled as she lead him down to the lobby like area. "No I'm sorry about the umm...er blood..." Her cheeks were a bright red as if she'd stayed out in the sun for about ten hours. The fingers that held his shirt and the fingers that hung by her side trimbled and shook as she took a deep breath.

Tatsu smiled and thought, It's ok, Pippa. I've seen my share of blood... It's not something I haven't seen, felt, or even tasted before. He took her hand that held onto his shirt into his own hand, lacing her fingers with his own. You didn't do anything wrong, Pippa, so apologies aren't needed.

Pippa held tightly to his hand as he interlaced their fingers. She smiled slightly before giving him a soft kiss on the nose and pulled him over to a couch in the lobby and sat down. Eyeing the seat next to hers with her bright blue eyes she hoped that he too would take a seat and they could stay there for a few minutes before they wen't outside.

Tatsu sat down next to Pippa and sighed, his thoughts trailing and becoming slightly complicated, even for himself. He shook away the thoughts and leaned up against Pippa, his eyes drooping as if he had not slept in a year. He felt exhausted for some reason, but didn't really care. His mind began to wander, but he didn't bother to follow it. He merely sat there, unthinking, leaning against Pippa.

Pippa smiled slightly to him and pulled her feet up onto the couch but they were on the side opposite of him. Pulling his head on to her shoulder she lightly ran a hand through his hair and hummed a sweet soft tune. Slightly closing her eyes she pictured of a beautiful Bamboo Garden with little streams and plants and it always being night with a full moon. She'd been to a place like this once it was made by magic and she loved it because it was so peacefull and thinking of this made her purr softly as she kept running a hand through his hair and still humming.

Tatsu was asleep in no time, completely worn out from the lack of good sleep, and the comfort of Pippa being with him only made him more at peace. He had no violent dreams this time, no depressing memories. Not even a hint of pain was in his dream. He dreamt of his walk to Ria from his home. It took him nearly half a year to reach Ria from his home, and he didn't even receive any food or money for the trip. Deep down, he knew his father expected him to die. He knew his father wouldn't count on the survival skills Tatsu had learned from his grandfather. The walk to Ria was the first time he'd been able to do what he pleased.
It was also in his walk to Ria that he learned the importance of speech and how the wound he received from his father was a wound that would never heal. He could not speak to those he met on his journey, and was often persecuted by the inhabitants of villages he passed through. Some thought his scar was a mark of the devil, and that his dumbness was a sign of possession. His power didn't make it any better. It was then that he tried to hide his scar beneath the collar of his shirt, and when he tried to avoid human contact. It only led to confusion about his dumbness, which led to Tatsu's anger, which led to his power. It was the only sensible thing to do.
And now he was at Ria, and it wasn't long after that when he met Pippa. And now here he was, asleep next to the only person who could understand him. In six months, he went from his grandfather's attack dog to a young girl's close friend.

Pippa slowly begain to purr softly as he slept her hand still ran through his hair as she shifted just a little. Her tail was lightly patting against her leg as her ears stayed against her head. A sweet smile came across her small but beautiful lips as she watched him. Glad that he was sleeping peacefully or what she hoped would be peace. It wasn't before she let out a soft yawn and nuzzled against him, she was somewhat tired but didn't want to sleep. The eyes a beautiful crystal color bounced around the room as she tried to keep her mind in the real world. Once more another soft yawn moved threw her lips and she shook her head some, knowing the only way she wouldn't fall asleep aswell is if she got up. Pippa didn't wanna bother Tatsu so she sat there and looked around hoping that she could keep her mind busy long enough.

Tatsu''s mind soared through his memories as he slept, going faster and faster until he hit a string of bad memories. Images of his anger flared in his mind, each one filled with more blood than the last. Not only did Tatsu have peace of mind during his travels, but he also went through many hardships, most of which causing his anger to rise to out of control levels. The last of the images scorched his mind, as it was not an image of his anger or a memory of peace and quiet. It was the memory of the girl he failed to save, her terrified face etched into the back of his eyes.
He sat up suddenly on the couch, startled by the sudden sequence of bad memories. He shook it off and looked to Pippa and asked, You didn''t see any of that, did you?

Pippa looked at Tetsu startled as she had been in her own little trance and was somewhat out of it herself. The last thing she had remembered was looking around the room then she didn't remember anything. "See any of what?" Rubbing her eyes slightly with her small fingers she looked at him kinda worried. "What's wrong? What happened?" Pippa was utterly confused and didn't know what to do so she just watched him as he looked panicked.
