"Though between his jealousy and creed and your pugnacious approach I commend your ability to survive," Mastema chuckled, "I wonder how such a marriage carries on this long." Just to add to the comment, Mastema looked from them toward KB, being a doe-boy again around Nana and Kai. It was easy to see from where he was since Mastema stood more than half a foot taller than Tegral.
"But in all serious context, however bolsterous my citadel's weaponry may become, I have no intention of pursuing another skirmish with you, much less a war. You can have the skies if it so pleases you. There are other powers which are much more meddlesome in this land." Mastema glanced to the Twice Royal twins. "Though that's not to say I will offer letters of condolences, free of charge, to anyone who should attempt to intrude."

"The stars, as it were, belong to KB. The earth is mine. The skies are another matter entirely. With depleted resources and no firm base of operations one would be foolish to make anyone his enemy, much less a stable power." A compliment of sorts passed by Tegral's lips. Even towering over him Mastema was still a bug, a pitiful little pawn to be moved as the king saw fit. True enough Mastema was a power of the lands, though far be it to be claimed he was a dangerous power. As Tegral had noted earlier his only real claim of sovereignty lay at the base of that absurd barrier of his, a fact the Admiral was lament to lay to rest. As the saying went, 'If a man builds a wall another will seek to rip it down.' Mastema built the wall, KB wanted to rip it down and Tegral was his means to do just that. That was before the mutiny however.
Glancing over when his conversation guest did the same Tegral returned a faint smile to the Lord of the Citadel. "Truthfully I wondered what held our forces together so long in the first place, and now I'm pondering what split them. No matter. My last visit to your abode," Nothing about that place was humble, "I learned of a rather interesting creature. I believe you call it Omega? At any rate, I've become intrigued by it's workings. Care to...mingle? Heh. As you're more than likely aware artificial life forms are a bit of a life's hobby of mine," Quite literally since his life was tied into the field, "And am always striving forward to make new discoveries."

The pristine heavens above rippled as a single point intruded upon harmony to produce a rippling cascade as time and space took one step to the left. Through the concentric rings of distortion came the ephemeral image of a great sphere hanging precariously in the sky. The moment the vision had passed the distortions ceased rather abruptly with the only sign of its appearance a single object skirting along the winds. Instead of the usual method of falling from the skies as would be fitting of his long fall from the graces of love and lordship, the figure within saw fit to procure a transport on the way down. The ship was hardly sleek or flashy by any means, rather blocky and obviously intended for moving relatively slowly. If anything, it seemed to be a long lost relic better fit as a prop in a classic space faring television show than anything else.
As the craft moved to land it obviously was not well maintained, or had alternately been stolen in the midsts of impending destruction. Either way, it made an appauling sound, though it would probably not drift so far as to intrude upon the festivities. Expecting the hatch at the rear to open the passenger moved to exit, nearly thrown to the ground with a rough landing. A portly scotsman just gave him a shrug when he glared at the pilot, a glare repeated as the door appeared to be jammed. Again the man just shrugged, "I'm givin' it all she's got captn." The glare turned to an exasperated sigh as he slipped a rather nasty looking mace from his belt. A backhanded swing against the door left it embedded in the metal, but a moment thereafter it jerked biolently and the door fell open.
With a dismissive gesture he waved the ship off, its hull waivering in a similar distortion to as what had occured high in the skies. A moment later it was gone, leaving the ashen haired man alone under the pristine skies once more. He took a moment to straighten himself out, ensuring that his casual tuxedo at least looked to be no worse for wear. Since the last time he had worn it he has sewn up the rips in the shoulders and polished the black shoes that had come with it. He wasn't much of a fan of social events, and seeing as this relic was all he had in his closet besides more of the same black and green, it would have to do. For the evening he had replaced his emerald visor with a contemporary pair of glasses, no tint to the lenses. Each lens had no frame with the lens itself rectangular and the temples and nose bridge each held on by a single screw in the appropirate location hidden rather well. Though he had attempted to fix up his hair a bit he was at a loss, the majority of it still a mess though he had managed to make it at least sleek back into a slick mess.
Looking up towards the entranceway he gave a sigh, realizing that he was late for yet another party, though this one an actually party for once. Fishing around his jacket for a pocket he grumbled to himself, "You'd think a Time Lord would be on time occassionally. I mean jesus, I'm only the Temporal Overseer... AHAH!" He slipped an invitation out from one of the holsters hanging inside his jacket, as if it had been placed there so he simply could not forget it. He was all smiles as he moved into the entryway, noticing another having just handed over his own invitation, "Hell, looks like I'm not all that late, though I might just kick myself if I was the last to arrive."

*Kaiori turns slightly inclining her head the smallest bit. Kaiori wasn’t that tall compared to most of the women in BC but with her shoes she was a head taller then Nana. Her blue eyes flicker, judging the woman and jump starting her memory. Truthfully she had nothing against the woman, just her husband and his use of their child...poor dear. Then again, the woman seemed so harmless; perhaps the boy would be fine growing up. Her left eye visibly twitches at the thought of that one night of torture, thinking about it, she wasn’t sure she could handle going through all that ever again. Her pink lips part into an elegant smile and she finally speaks.* Good evening. *And just after she greets her first visitor she is greeted by other, twisting her body a bit she faces KB completely. The stress she seemed to be carrying her shoulders would tighten a bit as she glances at him. Of course KB was a dear old friend but he was probably the most unpredictable person ever created. One on one she didn’t mind KB all that much, except with his issues about trust and all that jazz, but combined with the mysterious woman of Mastema she was in for a killer combo of a time. Still she smiles softly, not caring about her hair slightly falling over her shoulder and breast.* And good evening to you as well.

Spying Ka'rinth, Bertuccio would receive the invitation before speaking. "Welcome. Yes the invitation, thank you. Mmn. If you have any weapons on your persons, please leave them with my colleague Baptistain, as they are not permitted on the grounds. If they are part of your body, please deactivate them. This party is an introduction of his Excellency, The Count, to those in the region. Please consider this neutral ground, where fighting may not be prohibited. Various groups of people have arrived already. There is food, drink, and music. Please enjoy yourself." Turning to the interior Bertuccio would announce Ka'rinth's arrival. "Introducing-- Ka'rinth of The Farm" Once Ka'rinth was inside Bertuccio would turn his attention to this 'Temporal Overseer'. "Welcome. May I have your names and where you are from, for the announcing?"

Sai Standing not far from mastema, She glanced over to tegral as he made his way towards mas, and didnt care to look her way. though they were ont he cradle it seems even on earth, he is still rude as ever. She yawned softly as they engaged in converstaion, she just rudely left their Side, giving tegral a rather disguestin glook as she walked away. She tossed her hair over her should as she gently ran her nails over her left arm. the skin was rather itchy over her gunalet. She headed back to her little spot by the window. She glanced turned her body completely onthe party, and placed her elbows on the window sill and gazed out. thinking about her "son" back at the tower. She had left an invitation in his quarters just in case he Changed his mind.
~~~ heart ~~~
Damien Did change his mind and was bored at home, especially that his mother told him about a festival, dressed in a formal tux of black with a red bow tie, he brushed his his black hair out of his bright green eyes, and steps up to bertuicco and his friend with a casual, smile, and pressents his invitation. even'in gentle men...I am Damien, Son of Sairys, from the Emerald Tower.. he flashed open his tux coat at the gentlemen. No weapons, as you can see, I left them at home.. she responded with a smirk on his face. though he has no use for weapons, he is a experiment of Sairys.
Ka'rinth laughed softly with delight at the words before his eyes flared briefly while he spoke, Deactivate, interesting concept. I'm afraid I don't often carry weapons that would be activated or deactivated, the concept is abhorrent. However, I'm afraid I can be considered a weapon by my nature but I'll just enter and keep your words in mind. As he turned Ka'rinth laughed deeply, his soft baritone carrying strongly with the acoustics of the walls. Indeed, this is a place where fighting may not be prohibited, words to live by. His words carried a subtle overtone that suggested he was giving the words a literal twist and only hearing what he wished. It also implied that he saw the statement as a general guideline and that the use of the word may as well as the implied double negative of not and prohibit was just to his liking. The soul stealer often used strict verbiage and linguistic loop holes to gain power over others and increase his standing. It had been some time since his last visit to the area, back then he had settled for corrupting the soul of the reincarnated nine lives. Now though he had returned to test his mind and his new form which was in many ways his true form. He was resilient enough to defy death but playing games with the powers of this place might successfully push him past his limits and show him the planes which had borne his kind into existence. For now though he made his way slowly inside, not lowering the hood of his cloak so that shadows covered his face and the cloak itself hid his body. Only glowing red eyes marked the shape shifter as he moved into the party and stood calmly near the center of the room in an area which drew attention but was not previously occupied.
*At Kaiori's current height she was easily on par with Mastema or perhaps a hair taller. For once, Nana actually felt small, this was probably the same feeling she gave others, never really knowing or acknowledging it. Micha was only one of Nana's children, Kaiori had never met the others, though perhaps one day she would, and hopefully on good terms. Nana would shrink back a little once KB showed up. She was hoping to speak to Kaiori alone. Nana was, lets face it, not exactly a social butterfly. The party was drawing more and more guests and though Nana was not a clostriphobic person, talking to too many people in a gathering made her shrink away a little, like a clam she would close herself off. As such, Nana would take a step back to Kaiori could more fully address KB, and would then start scanning the ever growing crowd. Mastema still had a few people over by him. Perhaps the twins might welcome a small hello. Griffin had Kaiori's memories of people, including Nana? If so, she'd be as much a mystery to Griffin as to Kaiori*
Tegral needed to update his analyses of the citadel; the barrier that he was accrediting so much of Mastema's longevity to had been gone for nearly half a year. The General could give himself credit for having battered the old barrier so severely that it degraded long before its time, but the newer barrier was a much more offensively oriented one. The greatest addition to the citadel defenses was the Vanguard, however. Luckily, there was never a serious incident where the Vanguard had to be sortied.
Mastema raised his eyebrow at the question of Omega. With the Vanguard around, the unit was as much obselete as the entire Zenogais series. "The Omega Zenogais model? As much as its designed to be highly offensive, it was more a pet project than anything. It is designed to be the final installment of the Zenogais line, but its use is limited. Even if it has matter/anti-matter based weaponry, the main long range weapon is only a last resort, as its use defies the entire logic behind the use of Omega being a close range sort. Though it is still one of my own generals, I cannot say I place a heavy deal of trust in its abilities under an army such as yours. I would also hesitate to call it a purely artificial life form, as the being is as much magic and organic as it is technology. Its primary combat usefulness lies with its instincts, something completely automated armies rarely have access to. To be sure," Mastema turned back to Tegral, noticing Kaiori's odd group, "it is a wild card."
Twi smirked to himself, seeing so many people in one place again. Of course Mastema was noticed, but since the person he was dealing with now was one Twi found particularly unpleasant, he staved off from having any formalities with the citadel commander. He also spotted the twins, and knew he'd eventually deal with them. However, he'd have to wait until Gan appeared before he could secure his primary reason for being here. Turning to see Than on the other side of the room, Twi contemplated taking care of his secondary objective.
As Mastema had so clearly pointed out early on in their conversation the Admiral had not set foot on earth nor churned the skies above the Citadel in well over a year since his last siege. Though the army, as it were, had received minimal losses it was 'broken' in the sense they failed to destroy their primary objective. The fact that they had accomplished in the premature destruction of the barrier was lost on the Admiral as KB had failed to share that piece of information with his, at the time, highest ranking officer. "Anti-matter, fah. I remember a man who built a cannon devoted solely to the creation and discharge of anti-matter. Worked wonders against the Malbazian fleet set against his home planet, fool built it into one of the six moons orbiting the planet, but all in all it went over board and destroyed itself, the moon, the planet, and most everything else in that solar system save the star itself." Whether or not Mastema caught his subtle warning was a mystery to him and part of him frankly didn't care enough about the safety of Mastema and his ilk to press the matter very far. Frankly he just disliked the idea of facing a foe who could fling about particles that would remove him from existence in a massive release of energy that could size no larger than a marble and inflict as much damage on him as a ten megaton warhead. No matter, really, he had means to deal with the anti-matter threat, Xol saw well and truly to that one, but he still disliked it. "Excuse me a moment."
Disengaging himself from Mastema's conversation, it was a fine thing if the two had been in any semblance of friends but they weren't and he really had no care for the man, Tegral started towards Sairys. As a leader Tegral would follow him, simply because he was a soldier and would follow his leaders mostly without question, but as he who he was Tegral was more likely to rape his wife with a cruise missile before he launched her against Mastema's pretty barrier - the very one he had no notion had been changed. "Lady Valderic?" He intoned politely as he approached Sairys from behind. Somewhere between leaving Mastema and approaching the woman he'd snagged a twin pair of glasses, the bubbly substance inside as sparkling as gold with a decidedly better taste. "I trust I'm not interrupting anything?"
She stood straight a bit as she still laid hunched over the window sill, giving her body a smooth curve. no your not Admiral...what can i help you with? she address calmy and casualy, she was enjoying her self and didnt want to engage in any problems.
Ka'rinth stood calmly in his chosen place near the center of the room and slowly his red eyes closed and his body distorted slightly. The distortion was a result of two effects, one mystical and the other a chosen physiological adaptation. Slowly a dozen souls seeped from his body and moved around him gibbering madness in a soft half heard whisper as they watched while their master did not. Despite a general sense of unpleasantness that resulted from the precense of the tortured souls they were far from weapons. The other was a fluctuating electro magnetic field which was being generated purely from his body in a manner very similar to an electric eel, both occurances were to disrupt the efforts of any that wished to view him too closely with anything other than natural senses. The man smelled of earth and those that were able to study him in detail would be hard pressed to verify whether he were alive, plant, animal, or even mineral. Ka'rinth was interested in viewing the newest player in person but was not the type to willinglly become vulnerable for the meeting. As he breathed he listened closely and monitored the room with his varios animal based extra sensory perceptions. Part of him wished prove that biological and magical were capable of overcoming technology. He had spent much of the past year and a half studying technology that he had taken from the harvester and gaining a working knowledge of it and it's strengths and weaknesses. He wasn't so foolish as to bypass any source of power but it would be a disdainful last resort if it came to such a thing. Perhaps while certain groups were present here at this party it would present a superb time to test their defenses with some of his usual and modified puppets. A single thought traveled from Ka'rinth and a soul parted from his form and exited the party with a message for a distant group. Yes judging some of the players power without them present seemed a good concept, he would send the weak and useless to test them and simply collect the souls and bodies later for his experiments.
Smiling, something that looked more right on his face than the snarl he typically wore, Tegral placed one of two glasses down atop the sill of the window. "I've noticed you aboard the Cradle, and again here. Can you blame a man for wanting to meet a beautiful woman?" Outright flattery was never Tegral's thing, that was always Hidjie, but just as the smile it just seemed right coming from his lips. Aboard the Cradle and again here Tegral had had things he was meant to take care of. The position of Admiral aboard the star station hanging over head, keeping track and maintaining the inner workings of the station while he conducted his own experiments and controlled his own fleet and army. Not an easy task for a single being, even with advanced computers to assist him.
Passive sensors twinged when Ka'rinth showed some abnormal ability to distort his detection systems. Reminded him of that bloody Gremlin thing Focht had used once before. Cranking the ionic signature up to combat level Tegral, in effect, bombarded the negatively charged electrons with positively charged protons of Ka'rinth's distortion field to provide a glimpse of his person. Then, when it fluctuated in the next instance, the process would occur all over again. An annoyance with blips and flickerings, like Ka'rinth stood as a strobe light blinking on and off. A though occurred as to how to turn off the field he was generating, a most interesting thought, he'd have to pursue it much later on.
In the mean while Rookin, who had been approaching the Night Twins moments ago felt the same as his Admiral and turned to investigate. Standing off by herself Kah raised her head as well, glaring daggers at the soul controller. If machines could be said to feel they would definitely be annoyed right now.
"Naturally!" KB exclaimed happily, smiling. "Why, I really can't remember the last time we all got together like this, even in the Dojo." KB reflected back on the place and nodded, the memories of the building varied and many. Likely each and every person who went there had seen it in a different way, though for all of the originals some things were the same. Time had robbed them of much, and it seemed nostalgia pricked at the heart of the BC. KB's smile would falter for just a moment at the thought, before turning his attention to the shy, short lady.
"Forgive me, I'm being rude. As the announcer informed, I'm KB. I do believe you were already here when I arrived, so I missed the name of Mastema's lovely wife, as it were." KB rambled, as often KB did. A little bit of flattery for Nana if only for her conservativeness, the young man noting the dark villain's taste for the more innocent and seemingly chaste types. Still, he wasn't making any motions to sweep the woman off her feet, or brush her knuckles with his lips, simply being nice.
Her eyes followed the motion of his hands placing one of the glasses on the window sill. She leaned up and stood beside Tegral, as she took the glass and wrapped her hand gently along the bottom. With a slight smirk, she glanced at Tegral, her eyes gleaming with the reflection of the lights in the room. She brushed her hair back, slightly out of her face. Thank You I'm quite Flattered..And thank you for the Drink, finally something other than punch... she gently placed her rosey lips along the rim of the glass and took a nice sip from it. She closed her eyes enjoying the feeling of the bubbles trailing down her throat. after amoment she would open her eyes once again and glanced back at Tegral. she hasn't seen the Admiral much, only a few times, but always heard the workers alomg the cradle bussing about him. Though she has kept her profile silent among the ship, as Focht and herself, retreated and wanted to spend time among themselves, it was very rarely anthing who happen, to alart the admirl of her pressence. So tell me Admiral, it is quite rare to find you out and enjoying yourself, other than working aboard the cradle. what made you Come out and join the party?
