Bella smiled amiably, her happy expression made almost perfect by years of practice. "I find my ways. Though I am dissapointed to loose such a fine shirt. Ones like this are difficult to come by in good condition." She was expressing words of truth. She thought of aking Drayeion where he got that one, so she could look for another, but she changed her mind, "So, what venture has brought you this direction?" she inquired. Perhaps if she stuck to small-talk with Drayeion, the feuds would not surface. Her smile rang of an alacrity that anyone who had known her very long at all, knew was characteristic of the vampiress.

"That was most kind." Seti said to Kirus as he nodded to him. He grabbed both the drinks and handed one to Kirus. "Cheers" He said softly before drinking some of the blood. He looked at Elias. He was a whole different kind of fighter Seti was, but at the moment he didn't want to try. His body still needed rest. Slowly his tail wrapped itself around his waist as he scratched his side for a moment.

Elias smiled at the vampire. "Yes, I think the conversation did travel towards vices." he smiled, as Kirus made his comments about personal vices. "But my dear friend, you do have vices, much more then even you can see. Are you not an accumulation of great carnal pleasures? I thought your kind were the gods of the hedonistic lot." he said with another long drag of his cigar.
Elias could not help but notice Seti's gaze upon him, but he choose to ignore it. Elias was not one that liked to fight, and thought it best to ignore the fighting lust that shown in the others eyes.

Kirus allowed his hand to land on Seti's shoulder, long fingers patting there in a gesture of friendship and giving, and of trust. A small squeeze, cold fingertips pressing into warming skin, let Seti know that Elias was no threat.
Picking up his own drink in curled fingers, "Sante" he raised his glass with a sidelong look to Seti for a brief moment before he brought it to his lips, taking sup with a smile stretching across his lips, reddening with sustenance, as the blood slipped over his palate and down his throat he allowed his lids to flutter shut, shadowing against his cheek, too pale even in the low light here. Blood coated his insides with a warmth he missed. It had been too long since he had fed, he realised now. No matter. He opened his lids after a moment in reverie and grinned at Elias, his eyes sparkling, with mirth and renewed warmth, as he made his way towards the other.
"Great carnal pleasures" Kirus begun, his look wicked, his nose wrinkling a little flirtily as his tongue wrapped its way around the phrase as if those words themselves were carnal. "are not vices my dear, but the lifeblood of this earth- whether it realises it or not. The moments we know we are truly a part of existence are in extremes, be they extreme grief or extreme pleasure- I find the latter much more enjoyable"

And so the war of wits had begun. As it had those many years ago when they had first met. Elias only smiled and cocked an eyebrow at Kirus movements. Elias was after all as close to unic as one could get. By choice and by force.
"I prefer the middle road myself, though it may not have the luxuries of decadence of those that choose to travel at the extremes, I find it easier to blend into the crowd." he said growing silent for a moment as if to illustrate the inhuman yellow glint of his serpent eyes.
A very old vampire once told me. "For creatures like us, longevity is synonymous with anonymity." he said with a wicked grin, remembering the irony of that old monsters words, since they were spoken upon his death bed.

Seti just nodded and had his drink. He sat down on one of the empty couches and looked around the room. A bit of sleep would be good. But where to sleep. Oh well, he would find an empty room upstairs. For now he just sipped his drink and let his gray eyes wander over the room and the people within.

Kirus listened to Elias' words with a grin. It was plain to see that for Kirus, blending in was more of a personal sin than death itself might hold. He was for all intents and purposes, a creature of infinite vanity. He showed it in his clothes, hair, smile- the very way he held himself or walked into a room screamed "Go on, look at me, I know it will please you"
He nodded at the other as he told of an old vampire. Kirus knew the kind, had met and been berated by them often. Blend in, be part of the crowd, create a perfect illusion of humanity and take them from the inside.
No.
One could tell just by looking, Kirus was a vampire. Of course, the majority of the modern humanity in the world, held no fear of vampirism, it was mere fiction, and therefore would neither look for nor find it shining in their everyday lives. He need not answer, a mere grin said it all. His eyes sparkled, his expression wry and chastising, the barest hint of fang subtle against his lip.
"Such vampires..." Kirus started "find themselves living a long and dull life in the absence of the exceptional." he nodded slightly "for what are we, if not exceptional, if not other? To live ones life in the shadow of humanity..." he shook his head playfully and ducked it a little to look up at Elias through long lashes "surely that is the true sin".
Kirus was painfully aware that Seti was tired, if not ailing. The fight had no doubt taken alot out of the other, and he wondered if the other's mind had settled, he thought not. Knew it was probably an impossibility. His demon friend would not feel in the mood for such games, they had played them once- today was not the day to repeat them. The vampire raised his head to the other, expression changing to concern, it wrote across his face like swooping penmanship, a rare site indeed on such a creature. His eyes asked all the questions of Seti they needed to, as his brows softened over his face. "are you alright?" "is there anything you need?" "wont you come stand near me?"
It was a strange thing for Kirus to find that he actually cared how the other was feeling. Friendship was rare a world where darkness prevailed, and indeed in which vices were taken on like virtues. Kirus had a good many acquaintances, few true to him as Seti had been

The gray eyes moved over to his friends. He saw the questions and just nodded. He was tired and would go find a place to sleep soon. For now he was allright, he didn't feel like talking nor doing anything else but sitting or resting. Slowly he got up when he had finished his drink. Placing the glass down on the counter before walking up to the vampire. He stopped close to the other so only he could hear him. "I'm going to find a place to sleep and rest..." Seti then started walking again. His tail was just hanging behind him lifeless, showing how bad he had it. With slow steps he moved up the stairs to the next level of the Inn. Strolling down the hall he found a empty room. Not even thinking about anything else, he entered the room and closed the door behind him. As soon as he saw the bed he lay down and let sleep take him over.

Drayeion listened to the words of the vampire who had just spoken. He scnned him over with his black eyes and tried to take in as much as he could of the fellow's backround. He assumed the man was an aristorcrat, as was Bella, but he seemed to be more obviously so that his "sister". Drayeion smirked. He seemed to feel the same way about "blending in". Drayeion prefered to be out in the open. WHile he wasn't intentionaly drwing attention to himself, he was by no means hiding. He looked back down at Bella when the vampire had finished speaking. "Bella, you know full and well my ventures are of no one's business but my own and you have waisted your breath by asking. I grow ever so tired of your attempts at small talk. Tell me, how long has it been since you have spoken to me?" Last he checked, it had been 15 years, but he was sure Bella knew better than he. She payed closer attention to time.

Bella sighed. Drayeion was right. It had been a vary long time since they had even seen each other, and even longer since they had spoken. The atmosphere between them wasn't always a pleasnt one, but such were the ties between siblings. Though they weren't technically blood siblings. Relatives, yes. But, brother and sister? Almost. "It was 16 years, last I counted." Bella said quietly, "You are correct. It has been far to long." She almost couldn't beleve that he had missed her, but she decided not to inquire way, seeing as she already was pushing it.

Drayeion kissed the top of her head, "To long indeed." he smiled softly, truly he did miss Bella, but it shouldn't be too long untill he got over it and was ready to leave her for a while again. That was the way their relationship worked. They would see eachother once every great once in a while, then they would go their seperate ways for the next 15 or so years. At least they did see each other. Bella primarily was a loner. She had never truly found anyone she had ever fit in with, whereas Drayeion was always the center of attention and could fit in wherever he pleased. The two were truly very different from each other, though you could spot similarities in their persoality if you tried hard enough.

Bella looked up to see if Kirus looked to busy. She felt it would be rude if she didn't introduce the two of them. She had a feeling that Kirus and Drayeion had a lot in common, though she didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing. She silently proclaimed to herself that the reason she felt the two of them were so much alike was in that the two of them were both quite charming, amiable, and all around affable. She didn't know a soul who she would think would beg to differ. Besides, she had mentioned Drayeion earlyer. She had a feeling Kirus had been curious about her "Brother".

Elias knew the look that he gave him, the look that he received before from this very same vampire. The look which told volumes about the vanity that flowed through his veins. Kirius was a vampire that wanted to be seen, to be heard, to be worshiped like some pagan god of old. Elias knew all about Pagan gods.
"Extraordinary...." the word lingered on his lips like a sweet petal of rose, as though he was tasting a vintage wine for the first time and sough to unravel its mysteries. "We are monsters my old friend, creatures no more extraordinary then those shadows that linger in the closets of children when they sleep." Elias words we heavy, slow, almost as if the smoke that issued from his mouth was producing the sounds. "We who can live a thousand lifetimes and never change. What great thing are we? Even the stars in the heavens change over time, yet we remain the same. Civilizations fall and continents erode, yet we remain the same." Elias grew silent and still for a moment, the room seem almost to darken with each somber note he spoke.
"No, we are horribly boring things my friend, plaques upon an ever changing universe."

((*clings to Seti* eek ))
Elias and Kirus were like two sides of the same coin. That coin itself was archaic. Its faces were tarnished so far that anyone wanting to use it, would not be able to tell its true value. Values they had however. Each of them worthless to the world, but invaluable to many.
Kirus shook his head and smiled, the sentiment spread across his features like blood in water, smooth and clotting, both beautiful and cruel. Elias spoke beautifully, and his words twisted their way through Kirus, but he couldnt let himself agree with the other. Monsters? Yes. To all intents and purposes, they were the monsters and creatures of fairy stories and fiction. But this was real life, and each of them were so unutterably beautiful in Kirus' eyes, that to be called monster was akin to sacrilege.
"Change..." he echoed the other, more to himself. It was something he had pondered much in the aftermath of Lucian's abandonment- could they change? He knew it. He had succumbed to it.
"We are like the frozen roses of old tales my friend, beauty forever captured in its moment" Yes, he was Narcissus, he not only bent to kiss his own reflection, but he had made love to it countless times, was its suitor and its bane.
"we change intellectually, and mentally, we get to see this- our great good world change around us, and we stay infinitely perfect."
He knew in his heart this wasn't entirely true. There were things he had not wanted to change. Some days, despite his age, the world seemed to flash by him in a rush of invention. It was thrilling however, and those he loved the most stayed young with him. He saw to it.
Kirus' words slipped from his lips so gently they were like morning rain. They fell into the silence of the room rather than disturbing it, mingling like a perfect note thrumming around the edge of a glass.
The glass, no doubt, was about to shatter at any moment.

Bella chuckled lightly to herself. Yes, Kirus was busy, as she found he usually was. She didn't say anything to Drayeion, however. She quite enjoyed the way Kirus spoke. It was fluid, natural, and reminded her of ages past. She wasn't in the habit of reminicing, but she found herself delving into her past just being in the same room as him. Her brother sometimes spoke in a manner similar to his, but she doubted she could ever find one whose speech was as refined as his. Anything he said sounded like some adage or aphorism.
