So my mad science partner in SL got me into thinking of a character to be if I were in Dr. Who.
We ended up coming up with Enigma, a woman who's a total mystery that her name is given to her by Dr. Who himself simply because even he can't understand who/what she is.
The idea is, she's an immortal being from before time, but since she's not once had to ever put much effort into anything, her abilities are completely unknown. The only known things are she's able to travel though space and time, though the latter never occurs to her prior to meeting the Doctor. She can't be harmed, she's ageless, and has no true form. Simply put, if she were to become her " true form " she'd appear to cease to exist until she decided to take the form of something else. By default, she appears to be an early 20s woman since that's supposedly her preference.
She's got quirks of her own just like the Doctor. She's a skimpy dresser, but wears a large coat over whatever she's wearing, and her coat is her personal swiss army knife type thing. Anything of hers with a pocket reaches into her pocket dimension.
As such, she has a world of random crap in her pocket, specific objects of interest are her lab ( TARDIS-style bigger-on-the-inside tiny black ball that's ridicously heavy so nobody can so much as move it, yet light as feather to her ) and her Doorway. ( door that can be placed on a wall or such and it creates a way inside of things, example - putting it on a brick wall creates a way through the wall and out the other end )
Dr. Who doesn't care quite as much, but any other companions with them would ask her all sorts of questions, to which she gives no real answer with any details.
Such would be, " Just who are you? " " I'm the other person you're travelling with. " " What are you? " " Tired. I need a nap. " " So what's the biggest thing you ever crammed in that bottomless pocket of yours? " " Ever wonder why there's only 9 planets in the Earth's solar system? " ( And yes, she has in fact stuffed an entire planet down her pocket. )
The idea of her is, she's more or less an omnipotent being, but she never really does anything of any signifigance since the Doctor and whoever else they're with can usually deal with whatever situation arises.

Captain Darth-Luc Vader, USS Executorprise.
And now this.
Enigma pulls out a phaser gun. The other companion travelling with Dr. Who is curious about it.
C: What's that? E: My phaser gun. C: Does it work? E: No. C: Why, what's wrong? E: It only shoots hot sauce. C: Then why do you keep it? E: In case we stop for a burrito and they're outta sauce.

Sounds like an excerise we did in my Creative Writing class last semester. Except we weren't allowed to create abnormal people, which took the fun right out of it.
