As she entered the alley, he had already anticipated her movements by reading her mind, and now stood behind her as she backed into the alley, having leapt there from above the buildings. He places his hands lightly on her wet shoulders, hearing her tired thoughts. He thought he meant to harm her. He assured her with his mind and his touch that he meant no harm. He was only protecting her.

*Reese walked out the grocery store, a few packs of stolen cig's in hand* "Hey you! Come back! You forgot to pay for that!" *Reese didn't turn around or respond, he just kept walking down the street* "Petty human...." *He stopped at an alley and looked around, this was the perfect spot to wait for a mortal*

Cringing, she stands still. Not knowing who, or why this Vampire was there, and not trying to kill her. Hearing the voice inside her head, she stares at the mortals still going past, not caring to peer into the shadows.
'Why are you here?'

Marshmell0h Ester turned her head to see Reesie. She saw her trenchcoat in his hand and made a run for him. She drew two small daggers from her boots and threw one at him and started running at him. Her black and purple highlighted hair bright under the neon sign to her left.
She needed her jacket..Badly. She could not let him give that evidence to the vampires..Though she didnt really want to harm the vampire..She would if it was necessary.
"Hand the coat over Vampire!" ((Oh s**t, sorry. I didn't see this...)) *Reese just glanced at her. There was no way she was getting the trenchcoat, he smiled even if she did get it the letters were already in his pocket. He looked up at a nearby building and jumped on the roof, it was only two storys up. Now he jumped up from rooftop to rooftop*

He heard her voice, sweet and flowing, like pure water. Like the rain itself, though it was far from pure in this city. Full of guilt and anger. Acidic rain, harmful rain. He could think of nothing better to say... so he told her the truth, his voice auidible, but barely above a whisper, "To protect you."

Resisting the urge to run, she doesn't back down. Or turn round. Still watching the mortals, she tries not to let her anger get in the way. That would cause more trouble than it was worth.

His voice softend further, and his hands still rested lightly on her damp shoulders. "I saved you. I wanted to save your friend, but I was too late. I am sorry I could not save you both. I will not harm you. You have my word." Wanting to make her believe him, he turned her around to face him and gazed into her soft eyes, his own piercing hers.

Jaxamine heard a thud on the roof to her right. Giving one last look at the scum she was stalking, she climbed upon a ladder and made her way to the roof. As she stepped onto the roof, she saw the creature crouched, seeming to listen to something. Curious as always and nothing better to do, she crouched beside him, trying to hear what he was listening to. Hearing only a jumble of voices in the shop below, she whispered, "What are we listening to?

'Of course you are. Your protecting me, not trying to get me to trust you, so you can kill all the Lycanthropes, and take the credit for destroying a race. I've heard this too many times.'
Returning the glare, she turns back round, and looks at the entrance to the alleyway.
'Why dont you just say that to a human. I'm sure you'll get a free dinner there, that wont hurt you right back.'
