Sunrise gulped as Fate looked at her with a sheepish grin on his face. God, he was cute. Okay, she could do this, she could, well she could! She was such a chicken. "Al-...alright then, I'll go first." She glanced back over her shoulder at everyone before they vanished behind the trees.
She walked for quite a while, glad that she didn't run into the weird horse-thingy holy crap what was that noise behind her? She turned around to see the skeletal horse, its pale gleaming eyes, and dragon-like head and tail. Without thinking at all, she screamed.

The look on Chelsie's face turned from one of laughter and jokes to one of worry. The scream she heard coming from the Forest sounded like a real one, not like the screams that they were supposed to issue when they got too far in. "Oh! Someone go get her hurry!!!" She said. "She sounds honestly terrified!"

"Oh no!" Lucy said with serious worry on her face. "Sun, you okay?" She yelled. Tears of worry swelled in her eyes. She was ready to ball if anything happened. She wasn't being a baby. This is the wizarding world. Anything could happen. Sun could be dying right there. It could be giants, centaurs, dark wizards, crazy house elfs, or escaped criminals. Anything.
"Lucy! Don't cry! Sun is going to be okay!" Said Tanner as soon as he saw her eyes. He rubbed her shoulder comfortingly. He noticed a dirty look sent from one of the other guys. He quickly smirked and then straightened his face.
Chills ran up her spine at the touch of such a hottie like Tanner. She was not going to cry in front of him. Or the other guys. No.
"Okay." Lucy said with a smile on her face. She said it like an idiot, and as soon as she did, she was aware of it.

Fate straightened up at the girls' alarm, feeling nervous and itchy. Sunrise sounded like she was actually frightened, he should go help her! But then all the guys in his dorm would make fun of him. But she would be humiliated if no one went in there to help her!
"Gah, screw this! I'M COMIN' SUNNY!" he shouted, running into the trees and looking for a flash of blonde. "Sunrise! Sunrise can you hear me?"
"Fate, help!" Sunrise screamed as the horse-thing reared back onto its hind legs in alarm. Her knees went weak in fear and she fell to the forest floor. The horse landed silently on its front legs and drifted away into the shadows. Sunrise buried her face in her hands, and Fate helped her up off the ground and led her by the hand out of the trees.

"Um.... this is awkward.." said Lucy, reffering to the way he went into the forest, and what he said before hand. The guys thought that was really funny. They cracked up, all except for Tanner who played it cool.

"Sun are you OK?" Chelsie asked as she ran, the worried look still on her face, up to Sun and Fate when they emerged from the Forest. "What happened in there?" She thought a second and then added "you don't have to say if it was that traumatic."

"Yeah! You okay??? What made you scream like that! Like Chelsie said, if it's too personal and traumatic, you can keep it to yourself." Lucy said. She raised her eyes, waiting for an answer.

"I'm okay," Sunrise said shakily, clinging to Fate's hand tightly. "There was this weird dragon...horse...thingy...I'd never seen anything like it before."
"Sounds like one of those things...Thesters?" Fate asked curiously, glowering around at the other blokes. "Hey, you heard her scream! She could have been hurt!" he told them off.

"I'm sorry! I didn't know what to do! OMG! And I think they are called Thestrals. My mum mentioned them last summer.... I heard they are really scary!" Lucy said with a deep breath. She thought her mum said only people that have seen people die could see Thestrals. Lucy had a flashback of when her father was killed. She saw him falling on the ground, clenching his heart, and when he finally lay still. She would be able to see the Thestrals.
"Who did you see die, Sunrise?" Lucy asked. She realized her question and said, "Sorry. If you don't want to answer, you don't have to." Lucy said. She recalled her father's death again, and tears swelled in her eyes once again.

"Yea, I've heard they're pretty scary." Chelsie said. "I've only heard other classmates and my parents talk about them and seen drawings in books." She searched her mind to see if she could remember seeing someone die. She couldn't remember, so if she had it would've been when she was really little. She looked at Lucy for a moment and saw her tearing up a little. She must've seen someone die and is thinking about them. thought Chelsie. She looked back at Sun and smiled to herself at how protective Fate was being and how Sun was practically clinging to his hand for dear life.

"I saw my mother die when I was ten," Sunrise said quietly. Fate squeezed her hand tightly.
"I saw my grandad," he offered. Sunrise leaned over and onto his shoulder for support.

"I saw my father die when I was 10. Weird... Sorry about your mother.. And Fate, sorry about your grandad..." Lucy said with a grimace.

"I'm sorry guys. I can't quite remember if I've seen someone die, but I feel like I have. I don't know." Chelsie said, trying to offer something if anything. She looked at Devin. His head was down.
"I saw both of my parents die when I was 5 or 6." He said quietly, concentrating very hard on the ground.
Chelsie took Devin's hand at this and moved closer to him.

Sunrise sniffed from the sudden melancholy atmosphere, and wiped her teary eyes. "Come on, we're supposed to be playing a game! Why don't you go next Lucy, I think I've scared off all the Thestrals with my shrill voice." She smiled warmly at the other girl out of sheer gratitude.
