"How can you not know if you were thinking or not?" Angie asked, standing up and joining Tuari by the window, holding Lina in his arms and rubbing his cheek against her soft fur.

Tuari blinked, "I don't know, but I do it alot," he said, looking confused. He smiled and kissed Lina's head, then watched Angel with an odd, hesitant look on his face.

Angie continued to nuzzle Lina for a few moments before he finally noticed the expression on his best friend's face and asked, "What is it, 'Ari? You look like you want to say something to me but you can't bring yourself to do it."

Tuari blushed and shrugged, "It's nothing...um-I haven't actually asked Dad if you could stay here yet, I'll...I'll be right back," with that, he hurried from the room.

Angie blinked after Tuari, wondering why the dark-haired boy had left the room in such haste. Obviously something was bothering him even if he claimed it was 'nothing'. "What do you suppose his problem is Lina?" he asked the cat, absently scratching behind her ears as he sat down on the bed again and waited for his friend's return.

"There are a few things wrong with him," Lina said in a high, squeaky voice. Bt you didn't know she could talk, huh? Not many people do, only Gary, and now Angelino. "What's bothering him now, could be a number of things, but I have my guess."

Angie jumped slightly, not expecting the cat to actually answer his question but he recovered quickly enough, continuing to pet and scratch the kitty. "I don't suppose you'd be willing to share this guess of your's, would you Lina?" he asked, already having an idea of what her answer would be.

Lina seemed to smile and lifted her head as her chin was scratched, "I want to know what you think it is, first." She said with a slight purr in her voice now.

"But I have no idea what could possibly be bothering him. That's why I asked you," Angie replied, using both hands to lightly rub the cat's neck.

"He's your friend, surely you have some guesses?" Lina said, standing up, and circle until she was comfortable again, "But, I suppose if you don't, I'll just tell you." She wiggled a bit, and licked her paw, then said, "I do believe he's going through the beginning stages of a crush. Maybe on Alyssa, maybe on you. He'd act like this either way. If it were Alyssa, he might think you might get jealous, and not want to say anything. If it's with you, well...that's pretty self-explanatory, don't you think?"

Angie felt his face turn red and turned his head away, not wanting Lina to see him blush. "I think it's more likely he has a crush on Alyssa," he managed to say evenly. "I mean, what could he see in me?"

"I don't know, do I look like I can read minds? But it seems to me you're a very likeable person. It's funny though, you seem almost like Tuari's opposite." She let out a tinkling laugh.

"You think?" Angelino asked lightly in response to both what Lina had said about him seeming to be a very likeable person and also what she had said about him seeming almost like Tuari's opposite.

Lina nodded, "I do. You seem pretty calm, and level-headed, where as Tuari is, or atleast, is becoming more rash and hotheaded. He does like you though, he talks about you alot to his horse, Ed doesn't even know the extent of the things he's revealed to Cheveyo."

Angie had to laugh. "Yeah, I suppose he and I are opposites. And they say opposites attract," he commented then flushed when he realized what he had said and tried to draw attention away for the statement by asking, "I wonder what's taking 'Ari so long. How much time does it take to ask if your friend can stay the night?"
