Typically one has to have sex before children >>she returned smoothly, moving a hand away from the mug. And as she passed by, quickly punched him in his gut, emerald eyes flashing. The hit was more for effect then to hurt, so didn't have nearly the power of the one where he had lied to her. But it got the point across<< You shouldn't get so ahead of yourself Set >>she took the mug in both hands and continued towards the door like nothing had happened<<

He thought this was going to be the case. Her fist planted right in his stomach, he winced slightly and shook his head. Looking away, he just glided by her and walked out the door.
Each time she shot him down about their future, it cut out a piece of his heart. It was painful to know she didn't want the same kind of things he did. Was she scared? Was she angry because of her past? Their children weren't going to be like the others, yes... but everyone was unique here... they'd fit right in.
He didn't even realize he'd wandered out the hallways into the large pool room already.
Eying the water, he sighed and shook his head.
"I guess the only family I was ever going to get is my mother and father... brother and sister..." He was going to die without a family.. without passing his seed and genes... not having someone to teach about the cruel life, a child to protect. He was growing older each day and it killed.

He didn't even realized that she was behind him.. more or less followed him. A cold tremble rolled over him as he looked away from the water and shook his head.
"You know I'm not going to." He put in such a hiddenly wounded tone that it sounded icy cold.
He wanted to marry her.. he wanted to have a life and she didn't want anything like that. He feared how she'd react if he said he loved her... more or less feared for his life if he asked her to marry him... or even tried to kiss her. It was a fear filled relationship.
Maybe he should get out....
Diving into the water, he swam with such force to get away from her.. he needed to think a moment and not be able to smell her, see her... being under water was his escape right now and he'd drown if it killed him this much to know what he did.

Finally running low on air, he burst out form the water's nearly waved glass like surface. One golden eye opened to lock to the female who seemed to coast away and stay that way. Running his hand over his face to remove the layer of water that slicked his pale flesh.
She was unhappy. This was a problem. Forcing his wings out he moved in towards her and looked at her almost expressionless face.
"Are you really that set on not loving me openly Solstice?" He asked without fear of being punched. Foolish.. but he didn't care. He was use to the physical abuse now.

It was time he actually said it... time for the hardest hit he'd probably ever encounter from her.
"Because dammit!" He paused and took a deep breath. His heart was thudding hard and he felt light headed. "I love you." His honesty was only spoken once previously and he got hit for it.
"I know you hate the idea of accepting a weakness as strong as children and marriage. We're not getting younger and I... I want to be a father. I want to be with you for the rest of our lives. I know it's not mutual, but I do love you to want that... and you know my heart is forever yours and I'd never hurt you."
He became silent and dropped his head, letting his long crimson bangs hide his almost too painful expression.

But since you don't want what I do... maybe I should find someone who wants to forever share love with me." He felt crushed, and his eyes actually showed tears.
"I want it because my life will end and all I want is the chance to share what little time I do have with you and our children."
Turning away, he sighed and moved to the edge of the pool, lifting himself up to leave.

Hearing the water shifting as the female slipped from the pool, he turned slowly only to be met with pure anger. She didn't want this and it was obvious.
Her passionate kiss however wasn't anything she was complaining about. However... He pushed her away, his hands holding to her arms tightly to keep her at a safe distance.
"I'm not forcing you! I just need to think. It's not my fault I want something and actually feel 'selfish' on the subject. I want to share something beautiful with you and all you see is the bad things! I can't have children with you when I don't think, no.. when I KNOW you hate the idea. My heart is breaking and I know you hurt too... but, there are certain things I long for... and never have once wanted it with anyone else but you." He said in the most gentle and yet angered tone.

Her misleading expression only hurt him more.
"Solstice... I'm not forcing you to. I... I can deal, I mean.. I should be happy to have you." He smiled slightly, his hand slipping from her shoulder to her teared cheek.
"I love you and don't want to change you. I guess it's wrong of me." He looked away and shook his head.
It was hard for him to not feel bad. She was everything to him. To have her sad was... heartbreaking.
