Kibo: Oh grow up. Do you think you're the only one who has been killed and raised by another Necromancer to get out of a more painful death?
Kibo pulls down the collar of his shirt, to reveal a large area of heavily scarred skin, right over his heart.
Kibo: Just be glad I only shot you in the head. This was done by my most trusted friend, Christopher Farind. With a bloody cannon! Do you know what I would have done for something as painless as a shot to the head?

Kibo: Well, it depends where you're hit. If it smashes off your leg, sure, it'll hurt like a b***h. But if it hits you in the heart, you're dead before you even know what happened. Pieces of bone being shot up and lodging themselves in your brain helps. It kills you before you even know you were hit.

Kibo: Because I didn't feel it. The alternative was being hung, drawn, and disemboweled, then quartered. Not exactly your average painless death, no? Besides, he took out the opposing Captain as well, who had a knife to my throat at the time, much like Dale did to Ranu.

Kibo: Farind? No! He's my most trusted friend. He gave me these blades, took me in, and taught me Necromancy. I already promised if I ever had a son, I'd name him Christopher, in his honor. Too bad that'll probably never happen.

Ranu spat the last of his vomit overboard, and hid from the expression on the face of someome lower on ship, who'd been looking out the cannon door at the time. "Oops." he muttered, running a hand over his mouth, "I think I got my target." He shrugged, then glanced back, "Father took me to a hanging once. It looked quite fun to do, but I doubt the man himself had much fun." He shrugged at lifes little ironys, then peered back overboard, then ducked back from a bullet. "Jeez." he muttered, "Why are people shooting at me today? All I did was caught him in most of the flow."
