Meir snapped his small teeth at the guy, his tail still twitching. , he hissed to the guy's mind. "He's a pseudodragon, my familiar. Only mages can have them seeing as they are bonded together with magic." So the wolf-guy had never seen this kind of familiar which made Ray wonder if he'd ever seen a mage. Then again, a lot of mages didn't have familiars and if they did, it was something boring like an owl or cat.

The few mages that Yi Xian had ever seen were not of high ranking and of course their familiars weren't like the pseudodragon. He had known one that used a horse though...
"And I suppose that since they're bonded by magic, and only a high level magic user could create them then they automatically also bond themselves to their creater's life force?" Yi Xian asked curiously, lowering his axe to the ground and leaning on the handle.

Meir relaxed under his mistress's comand. He was always edgy around odd people, not wanting his mistress to come to harm. "We don't create them, just summon them. After doing the summoning ritual for a certain familiar, one will answer the call and thus be bonded to the mage. Weaker mages can do the same but their familiars would be something of a common bread like a bird or cat." Meir chirped, his tail curling back around her neck, glad that he had answered her call.

Yi Xian stares at the familiar in what might be construed as a hungry way. In truth he was studying the little companion's wing structure and trying to think if he'd seen anything similar on minor imps or demons that he'd met in his travels. He had to admit that the little familiar appeared to be quite unique.
"Interesting indeed. I wonder... how did you become a high mage elf-lady? Was it something you were born to or did you choose it?"

Meir watched the wolf-guy, his wings twitching lightly. He didn't like the way he was looking at him. Meir did not wish to be eaten today. "I was more or less forced into it, in a way. I started off training as a mage, stuff happened, forcing me to develope my powers, then in the end, I found out my friend was actually prince-become-king and was titled the High Arch Mage of his kingdom."

The wolf man's ear twitched slightly in his confusion at her statment. For as long as he lived he didn't think he would ever fully understand those human types. So caught up in politics that he didn't suppose they would ever be truly happy. But at least she had a companion to keep her happy and that was what was really important.
"But are you happy as you are now? It can't be too bad if you retain somuch knowledge.."

Rose sat in the garden on one of the marbel benches strategicly put around the maze of gardens.
The one she was in right now had an Asian theme to it, bamboo stick climbed high above and waterfalls could be heard echoing around her.
It was well over an hour ago she had stumbled across this place.
Water was her favourite element so she thought perhaps the sound would help her feel better but they did little at all.
Half sorry at herself and half angry at him. She began to swim in her own thoughts.

Ray laughed, light and airy, unable to help herself. "Oh, I'm very happy. I'm glad I was able to adventure like I did...or I never would have become what I am or have the friends I do." She almost added in that she probably wouldn't have fallen in love either but that was her secret that not even the the one she loved knew.

Rose looked up, shesaw the girl approching and swiveled around trying not to be seen but it was too late.
Still facing away from her Rose looked the girl up and down.
blue hair, blue eyes, blue dress...Gosh didn't take long to work out what she looked like.
"Fine," she snappedquickly. with a hesitation and an agitated voice.
"In fact the whole world is so bloody fine, i'm dancing on rainbos and clouds, with bunnies all around," she said sarcasticly before getting up to walk over to the other sid of the square.
"so whats you name? ," she said reluctantly.

The wolf leaned on his ax, a small smile on his furry features. His attention was off the familiar for the moment and he cocked his head to the side, his yellow eyes focused on Ray's.
"Well that's good then, I'd hate to see you unhappy with your lot in life. There's just too many already that whine and whimper about the injustices of the world..."

*The fuzzy outline of a girl floated into the gardens. The spectre wandered to and fro as if taking a walk. Occasionally she would stop by a flower and look at it sadly before continuing on.*
