Let us leave the terminators alone for a while shall we? I'm sure SM have gone through enough upgrades that'll rip you apart anyways 3nodding Hey can I post an army list for people to comment on or is that a different area?

I love my Tau biggrin And it's not just the long range, take some kroot and they can tear apart most people in assualt too, with two attacks each, 4 strength, 7 points and a hell of a lot of 'em in a squad they do some damage. Also if you bring Commander el shova (sp) then he's bad a** in assulat, all power weapon attacks and a load more stuf ((can't remember it long time since I used him)). Aunshi is useful in assult too, he can minus one from his attack in order to minus one from an enemy attack (parrying).

But in long range I love 'em most. *huggles his hammerhead* Strength 10 *drools* 72 inches.

It's also useful to have twinlinked versions mounted onto a squad of broadsides biggrin

I love the crisis suits too, they can move 6 inches in any direction they want in the assualt phase. So they can move in range of close weapons (like fusion guns which is basically a meltagun) then move backwards 6 inches out of the way. Move out of cover to shoot, then back in afterwards.

Muahahaha.

One thing i really like about the tau are the Gue'vesa. When you're not playing in tournaments, of course. But they seem to bee a good thing to use as an intermediate between fire warriors and kroot.

Wait, so when I chose the Tau did I choose on of the best of the best? Cause with wepons like that they are even dealdy against eachother, trust me I played against my freind. A hammerhead against a Broadside destroyed it completely.

Yea. But the Tau have 1 major draw back. Cuz theyre new they dont have as much varity to their guys. I made some path finders usin a fire warriors box

Pulse Carbine toting Fire Warriors make fine proxies for Pathfinders, but I hope you don't plan to field those in any official WYSIWYG tournaments. There are differences between the Pathfinder and Fire Warrior models that a sharp eyed opponent can spot.

But I echo your sentiment about a lack of variety. Tau troops can't carry any heavy weapons, and only have two choices for thier standard weapon, both of which are Str 5 AP 5. I'd appreciate the ability to vary a Tau list a little more.

They say online that paths are fires basically. so its cheep and i painted them a diffrent colour to rep their role on their world

They look very similar but Pathfinders lack the backpack, have a smaller breastplate, have slightly elongated helmets, different antennas and thier carbines have a strap/cord on them and a markerlight apperaatus mounted on the top.

Like I said, they're similar enough that most people won't bust your balls about it, but if you end up in a WYSIWYG tourney or something, an opponent could spot it if he knew his Tau.
