[--[ Okay, then. I'll post in a typical Tavern, then ]--]
A cat streaked into the tavern, slipping between the people, and jumping on to a seat at an empty table, hopping up to the table, and sitting down, looking at the people in the crowd. Closely following the cat was a violet haired girl, who was shaking her head amusedly at the cat.
"Lavan, you are going to get yourself killed one day by trippin' a man in a tavern," she said lightly, stroaking the cat. He purred, standing up when she pet him, then sat back down when she stopped. "I'm getting a drink. You don't move."
Xander moved swiftly through the crowd, making her way towards the bar, leaving Lavan to start cleaning himself on the table.

Nadia sits there, sipping her rum in the middle of this awkward silence between her and Jack. 'Did I say something to offend him?" she thought to herself.

Kibo strides in, quickly spotting a new arrival to the tavern. He smiled, and walked over to the violet-haired girl, leaning against the bar beside her, and flashing a warm smile.
Kibo: Why hello there. Can I buy you a drink?

Xander stiffened slightly, then turned to the raven-haired man. His eyes were red, even stranger than her eye-color.
"I'm fine, thanks," she said, handing a coin to the bartender. "I can fend for myself." She smiled at him sweetly. "But I wouldn't mind some company. My cat won't hurt you, unless he does not like you." She smiled again, glancing over at Lavan, who was simply sitting on the table, and staring intently at Xander and the man.

Kibo glances over at the cat, and chuckles, before turning back to Xander.
Kibo: So, what's brought you to Tortuga?

Xander scoffed, scowling at nothing in particular.
"A damned ship attacking me father's, and bein' marooned on an island three years ago," she said sulkily. "I hated th' land. Never even liked it when me mother tried tah raise me nice an' proper in Port Royale. Everyone always wondered 'bout me accent."
She began making her way over to her table with her rum, sitting down at the table, and petting Lavan. He stood up, stretching and purring, then lay down on the table again, at the edge.

Kibo: Well, how would you like to get back on the sea? There's plenty of adventure to be had, I assure you.

Xander eyes brightened slightly. Then she eyed him suspiciously.
"Do ye 'ave a ship o' your own, or are ye crew on one?" she asked. "An' I don' even know your name."
If it had to do with getting on a ship, Xander was good. She just didn't want to be surrounded by men muttering about her being bad luck. Specifically, she wanted to be part of the Black Pearl's crew, since she knew the captain would not mind women. He had had women on his crew once before.

Kibo: Neither! Commodore Kibo Botch, at your service!
He bows, then returns to his seat.
Kibo: Well, technically, I'm captain of the Godspeed, but Commodore is a much more impressive title to use.
Kibo leans forward, and smiles.
Kibo: Hmm... Now, you spoke of your father. Was he killed in that attack? I apologize for being so blunt, but it's all leading up to something, I assure you.

Xander again looked at Kibo suspiciously.
"'e was killed," she said bluntly. She looked at him again, narrowing her eyes. "Do y' go by Commador for the fun of it, or are y' wi'h th' British Navy?"
As if understanding the conversation, Lavan, who had appeared to be asleep then stood up, arching his back, then glared at Kibo, uttering a low growl before sitting down to groom himself.

Kibo: Well, I'm not with the British Navy, but I do own my own small fleet. I like the term "commodore," regardless of the aura of "figureheadedness" around it. But that's beside the point. Hmm, how to put this... How would you like speaking with your father again? Now, please, try to keep an open mind. I know how crazy it sounds.

Xander's eyes narrowed at she looked at Kibo again, raising an eyebrow.
"I was asked that same question a year ago, after pickpocketing a sapphire necklace from a man. 'e caught me, and asked those same words while a sword was at me throat. 'e knew me quite well, which is 'ow 'e knew 'bout me father," she said bluntly, her eyebrow still raised. "I have no wish to die, if that is what ye're talkin' 'bout."

Kibo: You're taking this completely the wrong way, love. I have no reason for killing anyone right now. Let me phrase it differently. How would you like it if your father were right here, right now? Like I said before, please keep an open mind.

Xander blinked, sitting back in her chair, and eying Kibo with narrowed eyes still.
"'e's my father. I grew up with him after thirteen years of age. Of course I'd like t' see 'im," she said matter-of-factly, raising an eyebrow. "Are you saying you can do that, raise someone from the dead? Summon spirits?"

Kibo smiles, and slowly stands up.
Kibo: Better than that, love. Stay back.
Kibo walks a few feet away, and unsheathes his blades, crossing them and stabbing them into the floor. He then pulls out his third blade, and stabs it into the floor in front of the first two. All three blades begin to shine brightly, and the from starts to take shape. It first appears clear, then slowly gets more and more lucent, until a man is standing in front of the blades, looking puzzled. Kibo walks up, smiling, and places his hand on the man's shoulder.
Kibo: Interesting experience, isn't it, mate? I believe she would like to talk to you.
The man looks over to where Kibo is pointing, and notices Xander. His startled look instantly changes into one of joy and relief.
