"Lord Arashikage, I've come to inform you in person of my resignation as captain of the APD. I, Kenshin Hyuga, have been named the heir to the lightning imperial Hyuga clan and I must attend to my new imperial duties in Kumoito." Kenshin spoke when he fully stood once again with a stiffly formal tone of voice. He paused to allow Toso time to process this information before continuing with the most central reason that he was leaving his post. "I've entered a marriage alliance with the Rio clan through Ada. I recognize that this is against the police code as she is my subordinate. I apologize for failing to meet the standards of your police department. Also, you'll be invited to the ceremony as I wish to mend our relationship." Kenshin apologized for this breach of ethics sincerely and honorably. Additionally, the sannin's cold and distant tone of deadlocked formality actually warmed ever so slightly as he looked up from the file to make eye contact with Toso. The kage's contributions to the Antioch case as well as his previous conversation with Ada allowed him to finally move past his grievance. Kenshin had never been a forgiving man so this was a steep challenge but it was a necessary skill to develop for the optimization of his duties as a budding imperial nobleman. As Kenshin's pale eyes locked with Toso's perhaps he would be able to see that love was softening the hardened man even if it was minute and gradual. "My final order as captain is to name your internal affairs advisor, Lieutenant Kojiro Kanzaki, as my successor. All of the proper documentation for the leadership transition is in this file. It was a distinct honor to serve in this capacity over the years and I'm proud of what the department has done to reduce our crime rate so dramatically. Arashi began as an imperial outpost of three warring populations of Kumo, Kiri, and Oto with gangs, riots, and chaos yet now we are one people in a peaceful and orderly existence. Getsuruito must be in its rapier form to use this ability and 5 chakra can be spent upon activation of this technique to transform it as such. Smiting Blade of the Night Watch [ Naitō Otchi no Sumittinguburēdo ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Spiritual When this technique is activated it crackles violently with night blue lightning for the entire duration. The electricity from the blade also forms bolts of lightning over the body of the user and appears to supercharge them. Whenever the blade is swung or thrust over the duration the user can fire a concentrated blast of ten bolts of lightning to accompany the strike equal to the rank applied but for only half the cost to initiate the technique. Hatake, Raiu, and Sage enhanced lightning can pass through the blade and apply to these lightning bolts. The bolts cause a thunderously deafening sonic boom and can inflict tier 2 burns upon direct contact with the lightning. Additionally, these lightning bolts can be freely applied to all complex bukijutsu for no action cost to smite enemies. The only action cost is when the technique is activated and all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not consume actions and only chakra. This ability can be used in both forms of Getsuruito.
Draconic Sabre of Moon Sundering [ Getsu Sandaringu no Dorakonikku Seibā ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Complex This is the original ability of the ancient Getsuruito blade and thus requires the original katana form. 5 chakra can be spent to transform the blade to its original form upon activation of this technique. Crackling and thunderous dark blue lightning can be applied to the katana's edge at any rank and the same lightning can form a dragon head formed from electricity over the body of the user for 10 posts. This allows all spiritual techniques the sword comes into contact with to be slashed through and even cut in half at the same rank despite the complex nature of the technique. For half of the original cost to activate the technique a same-rank spiritual electrical energy slash can be sent out from the slash of the blade. This same cost can be applied to any complex bukijutsu to achieve the same effect. The original 10 post activation of this ability consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities do not.

Kojiro had a swelling sense of accomplishment, but not pride for several moments as he and Kenshin walked towards Toso's office, knowing that soon the exchange of title and authority would be happening very shortly. The elevator's sharp ding that signaled the arrival atop the building before his office. The young man stepped forward just behind Kenshin as they pushed through the office doorway. Kenshin's words came as a surprise even with his previous conversations with his teacher. The Hyuuga was moving to mend all relations with the village before moving to the Lightning Country to settle with Ada. While his teacher was master of many things, it seemed even he had room to improve upon himself and now was doing so.
Realizing now that the spotlight was on him, Kojiro stepped forward to stand just before Kenshin now, at the ready to receive either the blessing or the denial of his succession. Kojiro saluted, his action crisp and refined as though he had stood in a mirror at home several, several, several nights to ensure his actions were just so that he would present himself professionally. " Sir! " he said boisterously. " I have trained my entire career within the village to become the most effective agent of justice that I could become. If you will have me, I will continue to enforce keeping the peace, at any cost." Kojiro held his salute, eyes bright with passion and determination. It was unexpected, but opportune.

~Current Theme Music~:Inversions of Hope A momentary pause as he watched the officer enter. The 'clap' of the new paper landing rightly atop the rest brought the Arashikage back into the present. Odd. Not just the fact he wasn't fluctuating ages but that things seemed oddly, well normal. Strike that...Kenshin just walked into his office. Of his own volition and for once there wasn't that nagging air of business tension. Perhaps it was an air of relief. Maybe? Was that the word. It was a hard to explain feeling. The air was usually heavy when the two shared a room but it was oddly mmmm average. No...nevermind. Beyond average. Was he hearing correctly. THE Officer Kenshin. Retiring. Due to matrimonial responsibilities. That wasn't the surprising thing, it was that for this to even occur would imply the matrimonial responsibilities superseded the mans own metaphorical marriage to lady justice. Which unquestionably everyone in the village knew that the captains infatuation with the sense of justice was always one that was ragingly erect...Toso removed his glasses and began to clean them slowly before putting them back on and blinking twice almost in disbelief that the man before him was indeed Kenshin. Yet, the sensory profile would make it unmistakable. That or this was some incredibly skilled doppleganger. Then the curve ball. 'Mend their relationship' It only took FIVE YEARS.
Toso would open a drawer briefly which contained a planner which also contained a calendar. He wouldn't say but he was simply confirming whether or not the day was April first. Maybe it was just a bit of a self distracting motion what with the sudden shock of it all because Toso knew good and well even if it were the first of April Kenshin wasn't a man to play pranks and seriousness hung on every word he ever said in his lifetime. Ultimately this meant that Kenshin here and now was utterly serious and with that momentary glance over did the Arashikage's and the Captain's eyes met. While Kenshin's revealed a newfound softness Toso's would reveal a sparkle where there once was simple pale neutrality.
"Please, Officer Kosei if there's anyone who understands the saying don't get your meat where you get your bread and butter and how difficult that adage is to maintain it would be myself...ah chef humor." the old saying that boiled down to don't sleep with your co-workers found in every business which was almost a moot rule in the reality of it all. In a sense every shinobi was Toso's co-worker, this was a bit of a knock at himself what with his relations with Kameyo essentially some light humor to take the edge of the sudden apology for something that most folks really have no control over...hormones love. "It would be my honor to attend, albeit what with your apologies you accept my own for coming off a bit stiff in this conversation bloop. I thought we'd never have a normal conversation again you and I...ah, well as normal as this conversation is. There is still the all too familiar business matter after-all."
Toso would remove and recount the file of Kojiro whilst additionally removing the Antioch report which were still fresh enough to be in the desk files as oppose to the cabinets. Like flipping through a photo album did Toso peruse the pages and portfolio's "If anything your continued service to the village has been something I could never have forgiven myself for if my words and secession had brought it to a premature end. Yet, here I am loosing you to something entirely unexpected, not as a casualty of war, or a broken allegiance but to love of all things bloop, I can't say I could have wanted a more desirable outcome for your leave of the police force. So let us give credit where it is due, in that chances are without your firm police work Arashi may not be where it is today, it could just have easily become a localized island of scum of villainy. The twin-kage could not have chosen anyone better in truth and its through that road of your accomplishments that I find whomever you believe should be your successor an undeniable heir to the throws of infallible justice delivered." The Arashikage's eyes shifted momentarily to Kojiro. While not intentional his words strung together the weight of the shoes Kojiro would have to fill. "All things considered an individual who played a part in preventing this Antioch from having his way with the village is commendable in its own rights and I trust he will have the judgement capable of flagging down and bringing an end to similar potential threats before they get the chance to come to fruition like his sensei bloop. Is that not right Mr.Kanzaki." The Arashikage's conserved smile showed pleasant expectations, but expectations none the less.
Then the definitive moment came where for the decorum the modification of Kojiro's file came with the side note above the name "Police Captain" Kanzaki followed of course by the less important reminders for the Arashikage himself to 'update database' - 'verify with APD to update file registry' and -'maybe make formal/celebratory announcement like in those films where there's that passing of the crown thing, those are always fun but maybe not...not sure how village will respond to change of the old guard...maybe consult with Rosewater about pr stunt to bolster Kojiro popularity some..actually first check popularity poll in regards to Kanzanki may already be popular, prevent extraneous spending' He'd close the file. "With that I look forward to the wedding Offi..ah..Imperial ..Chief? Kosei. Have you decided on a venue? bloop." In this moment Toso would get a sudden headache. The memory of the evil clone's conversation with Kagami was relayed back..of course the other 'extraneous' information involving a fight with a teacher was expunged. He'd shake his head and suddenly his face which was once alight with enthusiasm was struck with a grievance. Yet this grievance he did not wish to damper on Kenshin. He'd merely look to Kojiro with a sudden grave expression. "Remember Officer Kanzaki. You're new duties. Eliminate anything that is perceived as something that could threaten the sanctity and security of the village. No matter the size of the task even if presented with what could be considered the impossible." Toso then looked back down to the desk his reflection cast in the mahogany. "and I will do the same...bloop." Another snap back to reality before Toso would switch subject again. "Right is that all? The ball is rolling now isn't it? The venue? Have you considered any names for potential children? Any particular leaning preference on your potential child's sex. I personally would be privy to a daughter what with my recent...'struggles' helping raise adolescent young males. What of you officer Kanzaki? Any plans on settling down yourself? A potential lady catching your eyes? Ah, or man I don't judge. Would be shame that I loose someone else to the temptations of the heart when they've only just begun bloop."

▱▰▱It was made further apparent by Toso's reactions that he and Kenshin were standing on rapidly shifting ground together. Even the sannin had a difficult time grasping that he was resigning the post that he once believed he would hold for life. Kenshin was the famously blue-blooded officer who belonged to the police after all. As a result, he understood Toso's bemused move to clean his glasses. But this was followed by Toso's pallid expression suddenly lighting up. His lip remained unbent by Toso's joke about bread and meat but he managed to puzzle together his meaning with further thought and context. He then reflected on the "Officer Kosei" title that Toso called him out of habit. He now felt strangely disconnected from that former but intimately familiar identity. Officer Kosei was placed in the position to transition to Lord Hyuga, he supposed that this was a part of the shifting ground that he, Toso, and Kojiro were now experiencing together. Toso's apology for his stiffness in the conversation was silently forgiven. This was all quite unexpected by the Arashikage after all.
Kenshin stood and quietly watched Toso review the Antioch file. This was Kenshin's final major law enforcement case and one that was acutely scarring. Nonetheless, he supposed it was a strong note to end his service on. Kojiro's concise statement of his commitment to justice was appreciated. He knew that Kojiro was willing and able to be exacting in the virtue of justice that Kenshin valued so highly in his service. However, he clenched his teeth a bit at Toso's statement in recognition of a misunderstanding. "Yes, I've silently loved Ada Rio-Kyuri for many years. She's one of the reasons I draw breath." Intensity entered Kenshin's softer white eyes in a way that Toso would be familiar with based on his history of passionate law enforcement service. He felt that very same intensity toward his betrothed that he allowed to slip out in his words before restraining himself once again to clarify a misunderstanding. "However, I must go to Kumoito to serve my family. My father, Hayate Hyuga, is a convict on the run while my uncle Jiro Hyuga and his sons died in the Kogarashi war. Hajime Hyuga, my grandfather, offered to legitimize me as his heir as he's very ill. I considered denying his offer to remain the Captain Kosei that you once knew, but Ada helped me see that there are deeper and older laws. The son must bow before the father. This service to my family superseded my policing career." The knowledge that Kenshin now had an obligation to serve as a lord in his noble family was a source of comfort for the deeply dutiful man. He was making massive changes in his life in the name of his love for Ada and found that much of his behavior was changing because of the love he was being given. While this was exciting, the change was startling to him nonetheless and his new duties were a source of stability. "Also, Emperor Chosokabe requires me to play a larger role than Hyuga clan patriarch. My goal is to construct a powerful stronghold in the western lightning country to protect the imperial capital, Seizan, and Arashi's remaining landholdings in the area. In this capacity, I can serve the Hyuga clan, the empire, and Arashigakure." Ever the faithful servant, he hoped that this new post would be able to keep him engaged in service to Arashigakure, albeit from a distance. Kenshin then loosened his jaw when Toso honored him with credit for his service. "Your words do me honor sir. I have the utmost confidence in Captain Kanzaki." The Hyuga clansman placed added emphasis on the new captain title once Toso stamped it as he glanced over at Kojiro.
Once that business was settled, Kenshin bowed his head but lifted it again to adhere to Toso's clumsy use of titles. "Lord Hyuga is to be my official title. My name's no longer Kosei." He corrected Toso who was struggling to shake the Officer Kosei habit. Kenshin was still getting used to it so he was not offended in the slightest. Kosei was the name he had chosen for himself when he was turned away by Hajime the first time he arrived in Kumogakure from his birthplace of the Gimangakure prison as Hayate Hyuga's b*****d all those years ago. Now he had to adhere to Toso's barrage of questions regarding his upcoming union. "Most likely in Kumoito because Lord Hajime can't travel far. Beyond that, the venue is Ada's choice." Kenshin returned to his stern affect as if to restrain his previous outpouring of infatuation. He hated getting too personal but there were times when his heart was too overwhelmed for restraint. "My noble family obligates that I have a son as my heir. There's a great man far back in my lineage that I've learned of named Hideohito Hyuga. Maybe just Hideo. I've also always liked the name Takahiro. I'm partial to having a son but a daughter would also be good." The imperial lightning Hyuga were extremely patriarchal and traditional in their structure. Truthfully the gender of his heir mattered far less to him than their commitment to duty but he was still honor-bound to adhere to the traditions of his station. Kenshin then looked over at Kojiro again when he was asked about family plans. "I've already advised against him following in my footsteps on the matter of marrying a subordinate." Kenshin stated flatly to ensure that romance would not interfere with Kojiro's duties. In Kenshin's case, his marriage was also advantageous for his new duties but he still felt guilty for breaking the police code of conduct. In any case, Kenshin would have to soon prepare for his next visit to Kumoito and to introduce Ada to Lord Hajime before the wedding.

This means that strikes involving the blade cause physical damage including stab wounds as well as seal tenketsu points and any other effects of the technique used through the sword. An additional 5 chakra can be applied to the blade to prevent it from causing physical damage from thrusting but instead seal tenketsu points and inflict pain similar to a stab wound in the area struck but slashing attacks can still cause damage. Half the resource cost of techniques from the rapier style of Sen Gekiretsu Nagareboshi applied allows the technique to carry the tenketsu sealing effects of a same-rank palm strike such as a B-Rank carrying 64 Palms effects. Getsuruito must be in its rapier form to use this ability and 5 chakra can be spent upon activation of this technique to transform it as such. The Righteous Sword of the Sentinel technique has a 10 post duration before necessitating re-activation and costs an E-Rank amount of chakra. The initial activation of this technique consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not.
Smiting Blade of the Night Watch [ Naitō Otchi no Sumittinguburēdo ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Spiritual When this technique is activated it crackles violently with night blue lightning for the entire duration. The electricity from the blade also forms bolts of lightning over the body of the user and appears to supercharge them. Whenever the blade is swung or thrust over the duration the user can fire a concentrated blast of ten bolts of lightning to accompany the strike equal to the rank applied but for only half the cost to initiate the technique. Hatake, Raiu, and Sage enhanced lightning can pass through the blade and apply to these lightning bolts. The bolts cause a thunderously deafening sonic boom and can inflict tier 2 burns upon direct contact with the lightning. Additionally, these lightning bolts can be freely applied to all complex bukijutsu for no action cost to smite enemies. The only action cost is when the technique is activated and all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not consume actions and only chakra. This ability can be used in both forms of Getsuruito.
Draconic Sabre of Moon Sundering [ Getsu Sandaringu no Dorakonikku Seibā ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Complex This is the original ability of the ancient Getsuruito blade and thus requires the original katana form. 5 chakra can be spent to transform the blade to its original form upon activation of this technique. Crackling and thunderous dark blue lightning can be applied to the katana's edge at any rank and the same lightning can form a dragon head formed from electricity over the body of the user for 10 posts. This allows all spiritual techniques the sword comes into contact with to be slashed through and even cut in half at the same rank despite the complex nature of the technique. For half of the original cost to activate the technique a same-rank spiritual electrical energy slash can be sent out from the slash of the blade. This same cost can be applied to any complex bukijutsu to achieve the same effect. The original 10 post activation of this ability consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities do not.

Zeshin had arrived at the office building after assignment to speak with anyone who could impart a rank increase for duties. There was the APD's own ranks that needed to be met, but the registration of a ninja rank was the one more true to the desire to be a great ninja. He had waited to come to speak with someone for quite some time, thinking that it wasn't something he had earned. Though with conversations around other officers, the young boy had taken their encouragement as the necessary push to take on new and greater responsibilities. That train of thought drove him to where he was now.
The boy moved himself over to someone standing behind a desk and began his rehearsed lines. "Hello. My name is Zeshin Uchiha. I have completed the requirements for the rank of Chuunin. I was told to report here to be given the next level of responsibilities that comes with the rank." His voice was slightly shaky from his nervousness, but the words were clear and in the order in which he had written them down to be. It would be very easy for someone listening to him to be able to tell such a thing.
Kojiro listened intently, he lowered the salute as he saw fit in the moment. His hand returning to his side, he would fold his hands behind his back just at the small of it, feet spread apart like a soldier at ease. Kojiro's eyes traced Toso's movements as he recognized the location he moved to. He was retrieving the file as he had done for each of his promotions within the village to both Chuunin, Jonin, and Konin rank. Now, the words would be set in stone. 'Captain Kanzaki Kojiro'. The young captain felt a strange mix of pride and frustration. He knew that he had indeed worked hard for the title and for his ranking within the village. Patrolling, interrogating, sting operations, closing a ring of drug peddlers, the Kogarashi War, and now Antioch. These things he had tied under his belt...but they were in part due to his connection to the former Kenshin Kosei. In fact, Kojiro knew that his opportunity within the village was largely due to their master student relationship. While he valued this, it now left a sour taste in his mouth as he was chosen as a successor of justice, being left to fill such large shoes with no feeling of self merit. The Arashikage's words filled Kojiro's stomach with a slight tinge of anxiety and an overwhelming desire to prove his own name. He had only sworn to Kenshin minutes prior to entering that he intended to surpass his teacher, even if the task was impossible. " Understood, sir. I will continue to keep Arashigakure safe and secure to those within the laws of the village." Toso continued to rattle on with Kenshin about the wedding plans. The conversation had gone from business to pleasure in only a few passing moments. Kojiro couldn't help but notice that Kenshin and Toso seemed to view each other as equals now, which was both relieving and somewhat intimidating.

The next level of responsibilities that come with your rank you say? The next in line no doubt filling in for the now open lieutenancy of Mr.Kanzaki. Toso's arms were already going for the file cabinet which contained Zeshin's credentials despite his head not even having returned to the office yet. It was all a rather alien like thing to witness for the other two in the room. Just a menagerie of stretchiness. Incidentally there was clearly a misunderstanding going on.The Arashikage's assumptions were drawing that Zeshin was to be filling the role of Lieutenant under the newly entitled Captain Kanzaki but before Zeshin could correct this Toso had already recoiled his head back into the room and opened the file. Crisis averted, held on the words of Kanzaki whether or not this was the case, which ultimately it could very well end on a sudden promotion as Toso was readily ample to stamp the document without a second question.

It appeared as though, in fact, there was no one standing in front him. Eh?! He was nervous to be there and it was extremely apparently as his small frame showed a look of shock and he popped backwards a step. The visible jolt of his body was noticeable enough that the Arashikage's face showed up before him... However, it was just his head. Zeshin blinked several times and saw an elastic coloring of flesh headed towards the office room where he had been brought with the captain previously. He turned his head slightly and followed the path of the flesh only to show a look of amazement on his face as he did. But suddenly everything donned on him at once and the almost physical smack of being a complete idiot caught on.
He stood up straight, then bowed himself forward as quickly as he could. "Lord Arashikage, forgive my lack of intelligence." Zeshin stayed in the same position for quite a moment. He had forgotten regulations, respect and rank while in the presence of the building. He should have known better. The words that would then come from the Arashikage were strange to him. He asked questions, but never stopped talking. He had begun to move back to the office before Zeshin could say anything otherwise. Lieutenant?!
The young Uchiha raised up as quick as he could and moved into the office room. "My Lord Arashikage.." He began, not waiting for- Captain Kanzaki?! What did I miss walking back?! He looked back and forth, trying to get his emotions under control. He felt like some kind of stupid child right now. He shook his head gently as he took a deep breath and uttered a slightly audible sigh. "It is far too soon for me to be a lieutenant, my lord. I just wanted to qualify for the rank of chuunin so I could better support the village from the outside as well. I don't need anything more than that to continue my duties."
He bowed again, pulling his body into the correct position. "I apologize for speaking out of turn. I just wanted that to be known before Lieu- Captain Kanzaki says anything about it."

Whoa. Aiyume and Tsuta head tilted upwards as their eyes scanned up. With a smile, she looked beside her to make sure the twins were still following. They were. "Let's go!" With optimism, they entered. Aiyume found the floor plan. "Huh. Figures that the Arashikage would pretty much be on top floor, so what do-" She saw Tsuta and saw her laying on the floor. What the- Oh right. "Tsuta, Elevators won't kill you, I prooooommmiseee." That didn't seem to convenience the canine. "Ugh. Come on spoiled pants." She leaned down and grabbed Tsuta as she picked her up and held her, like a baby. Tsuta paws were tucked in as she tries to bury her face underneath Aiyume's armpit. "He-Hey! That tickles!" Aiyume shifted her arm a bit and Tsuta succeeded in burying her face underneath Aiyume's armpit. With a roll of eyes, her peridot hues glanced at the twins. "After you." She couldn't push the buttons so once the elevator doors opened, she stepped in after they did.
Tsuta was trembling but not too bad. It helped that Aiyume was there. Aiyume started to hum, it was soft and sweet, almost like a lullaby. When the doors opened to the lobby it was as if a rubber band as snapped itself onto Tsuta's butt. She started flailing and wiggling, causing Aiyume to yelp as she fell into the lobby while Tsuta started to sniff around, a new area! New scents to be had! Aiyume sighed as she got herself up and dusted off a bit and even started to inhale few times, makes it look like she was just doing slow breathing exercises but really, she was taking in scents too. This place was all kinds of funk smells. "Seems Arashikage is a bit busy in there, so we gonna hafta wait." At the same time, both Tsuta and Aiyume got two familiar scents, that they both smelled at the Captain's office that they recently pranked. Oh, so that's where they went. Huh. Hopefully, the captain has a good sense of humor and a light heart to enjoy the prank!

The twins followed Aiyume all the way to the elevator that they had to take to get up to the Arashikage's office. Seo found it funny that the dog wouldn't get onto the elevator. Busy guy has a lot going on I'm sure." Hotaru said with a slight nod, confirming to himself that the Arashikage was a super busy guy. "We don't mind waiting at all." Aiyume heard Hotaru as she was quiet. She seemed to be in deep thought as she sighed softly, "Actually, I dunno. Mum sang it a lot." It never occurred to her that it wasn't a normal thing around here. Tsuta, sensed Aiyume's sadness as she went up against her leg, and her cold nose touch Aiyume's arm. Aiyume, perked right on up as she smiled while petting and scratching Tsuta's ears. "Yep! That's why I dun wanna be no Kage, too much work." Aiyume said honestly. Being a shinobi was busy enough, why add on more!? Aiyume hues glanced outside. "Woooow. So pret-" She stopped as she saw smoke. She squinted.
"Is... Is that smoke or cloud?" Than the smoke got darker. "Oh SHOOT. LET'S GO TSUTA!" She gestured to the window in which Tsuta looked at her like she lost her mind. Either that or the elevator." Aiyume mumbled as Tsuta was now convinced and ready to go. With that, they did a running start and smashed out of the window, shattering it everywhere, "PUT DOWN AN IOU!" She shouted to the Kage and people in it, not sure if they would get the hint. Both Tsuta and herself landed on the roof with a bit of thud, they used chakra to keep the roof from being damaged. With that, they started moving from roof to roof to get to the academy fast. "Seo and Hotaru! We'll use our nose but please use your eyes if there's any child that may be hidden! Damage report too as soon as ya'll can see the academy!" She calls out to the twins.

Hotaru and Seo both looked into the general direction of the smoke as it was pointeed out by Aiyume. Both were surprised to watch Aiyume jump out the window instead of going back down via the elevator. "Well, I guess you got the action you've been wanting Seo." The man would say to his sister as both of them activated their byakugan to see the academy from their current position. The two would then follow along Aiyume for a moment to give her a brief description of what they could see. "Most important one seems to be a downed girl in the academy, impaled on something." Seo would say. Thinking they better hurry both the twins formed a handseal and a puff of smoke would appear where they once were as they used shunshin to get to the academy quicker.

Zeshin would speak out for himself like a fine strapping young lad and in doing so did Toso understand his hastiness. He looked back to Kojiro and just smiled reservedly as if to say 'I've alleviated you of the pressure of making a decision for the time being'. He'd put Zeshin's file away as he did the lieutenancy stamp. The sound of a desk drawer closing was often an indicator of business said and done. "Just as expected of the ex-captain having an answer for everything bloop." He'd poke fun whilst simultaneously complimenting Kenshin's ability to answer all of his question in a concise manner. It went to show just how long and how serious he considered his betrothal. With Kenshin's relations blooming and blossoming Toso couldn't help but reflect on his own. Looking at the picture of Kameyo fulfilling that office cliche of having one's significant others image on one's work desk. An internal sigh. Commitment. Commitment to a family. Commitment to a potential child. Was all of that even possible when it felt that he was already in a sense married to the village itself...If Kenshin could break the shackles of societal servitude then surely...
Toso's glasses lit up. The looking glass was raving red and several lines of text scrolled rapidly down the insides of his glasses only partially visible to those who weren't wearing them. The bone conductive audio in their arms rang in alert. This train of thinking was interrupted with a large flare of 'Academy on fire' crisis. Sure enough Toso would turn around momentarily through the large glass windows and see smoke. He'd raise his hand to the room to instruct any contemplating immediate action to hold on. He'd use the gift of his eyes enhanced with the newly honed abilities of a scholarly shinobi to zoom in on the situation. No doubt Kenshin could and would plausibly do the same. Ultimately revealing that the situation and the crisis was being handled and was already on the verges of quelling. "No need for immediate action it seems. The situation is being handled by some capable shinobi on the scene already."
Toso would turn his head back to the group of men in his office before deferring to Kenshin. "No need for your Tenseigan here for damages Lord Hyuuga. After all you've a future bride no doubt to exchange plans for the future with. The damages are to a degree that I can manage. Although I may need to call on you if some crazed eco-terrorist destroys Arashi's self sustaining factory facilities. bloop." Toso would tap his desk with his cane of which he just so happened to manifest in a puff of smoke which implied he was heading out. "Knock on wood. bloobloobloo." Like carving the universe itself did the end of Toso's cane create a rectangle in the air which solidified into a door. He'd stand then proceed towards it. Momentarily looking back and nodding. "My best wishes to you Kenshin and congratulations on both your promotions Captain Kojiro and Officer Zeshin." using their first names would spur an air of camaraderie and normalcy and reflect towards Zeshin just how lightly the Arashikage took his title when interacting with his people.
Halfway through the door the Arashikage paused..."Ah..right. Until he returns or I actually hire a secretary." Toso would mold chakra through his cane tap it and leave behind a spot of ink which would then start to grow and become a clone of himself in full. He'd then look back to the endless white expanse he seemed to be heading into and gave his final wave goodbye. "Good fortune to all of you bloop." The inter-dimensional door closed and the Kage's clone made its way to its seat and sat down proper. Shortly after doing so a man would burst in and before he could finish his sentence of 'Lord Arashikage the academy is on f.." the clone would just provide a thumbs up indicating he was already long aware. -exit

In the deflecting stance, the user can deflect a technique of their body rank or lower once every three posts for no activation, still requiring the stamina/chakra cost paid. • Move as Water | Rank A | Training Description: The user has dealt with so many situations being outnumbered that their ability to move in tight and confined spaces is greatly increased. The user’s blade work is tighter, relying on their body and footwork to generate force. After much dedication, the user develops the ability to sense hostile intent within the topic they are in. The user is able to spend stamina in order to increase the strength of their punches for no activation. Personal Attributes • Chidori Specialist | Grants [3] custom techniques to be used as variants of Chidori, these custom jutsu are considered a Chidori Variant. The user may also apply clan Augment techniques to Chidori, Chidori Variant and Raikiri Jutsu. In addition, the user's chidori techniques bypass all armor entirely. Raikiri is considered a Chidori Variant technique. Only techniques with the name [Chidori] or [Raikiri] are effected by this PA. • Hatake Fury | Bloodline and Raiton techniques have their chakra cost reduced by five per rank of the technique and gain an additional 4 Ninjutsu slots for raiton techniques. Additionally, the Hatake can now use their Raiton based techniques with single handed seals. • Sonic Boom | Lightning based techniques used by the Hatake are granted a concussive blast in the form of a sonic boom upon impact. Discipline & Cross Class Abilities • Ninjutsu Specialist [ Ninjutsu ] | The user's ninjutsu gains the ability to overwhelm ninjutsu of the same rank. The overwhelming trait only applies to a single element at D rank, increasing to two at B rank and three at S rank regardless of the number of elements the ninja has. Your ninjutsu are not mirrored per element, but you gain an additional 3 Ninjutsu per rank up. Also allows for one handed seals. {The Overwhelming Trait does not apply to anything above S} • Mystic Hero [ Bukijutsu ] | The user has become adept at blending their ninjutsu and bukijutsu. The user is able to cast ninjutsu from their weapon without the use of hand signs by simply pointing the tip or blade in the direction desired to launch the technique. This requires the same amount of time as the forming of hand signs to cast ninjutsu. They are also able to Korabo 1 ninjutsu and 1 bukijutsu at their body rank and below for a single activation every 3 posts. The user also gains an additional 3 ninjutsu slots each body rank. • Ninjutsu-Bukijutsu | Allows the user to gain +2 ninjutsu per rank. The Hatake's chidori raiton inflicts a tier of full-body paralysis that is equivalent to the technique's rank up to the second tier. This paralysis lasts for two posts per rank of the technique at a maximum of six posts. Applying Chidori chakra to the Juken consumes a second offensive activation. ▱▰▱ Storm Sage | Lightning techniques cast while in sage mode and when enhanced by nature chakra burn brighter and inflict a tier of blindness that is equivalent to the technique's rank. This blindness lasts for two posts per rank of the technique at a maximum of six posts. ▱▰▱ Stern Spirit | Reiken no Michi virtue states cost one rank less in stamina to activate and maintain. It also has a rapier form that was refined from Purity and is entirely constructed from steel with a dark blue handle and basket hilt. The katana and rapier forms are the same size and constructed of the same materials. Getsuruito was considered a legendary artifact by the people of Seizan as it was wielded by an ancient general. When the rusted blade was awarded by the locals to Kenshin Kosei he discovered that it had the unique ability to merge with and empower one other weapon. When the katana was reworked to its fullest potential it had the abilities of his own weapon in addition to incredible lightning abilities. ▰ Ability Summary: Righteous Sword of the Sentinel [ Senchineru no Seigi no Ken ] | Rank E | Bloodline | Spiritual All forms of Hyuuga techniques including the gentle fist can be used through the sword for the 10 posts that this technique is active. This means that strikes involving the blade cause physical damage including stab wounds as well as seal tenketsu points and any other effects of the technique used through the sword. An additional 5 chakra can be applied to the blade to prevent it from causing physical damage from thrusting but instead seal tenketsu points and inflict pain similar to a stab wound in the area struck but slashing attacks can still cause damage. Half the resource cost of techniques from the rapier style of Sen Gekiretsu Nagareboshi applied allows the technique to carry the tenketsu sealing effects of a same-rank palm strike such as a B-Rank carrying 64 Palms effects. Getsuruito must be in its rapier form to use this ability and 5 chakra can be spent upon activation of this technique to transform it as such. The Righteous Sword of the Sentinel technique has a 10 post duration before necessitating re-activation and costs an E-Rank amount of chakra. The initial activation of this technique consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not.
Smiting Blade of the Night Watch [ Naitō Otchi no Sumittinguburēdo ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Spiritual When this technique is activated it crackles violently with night blue lightning for the entire duration. The electricity from the blade also forms bolts of lightning over the body of the user and appears to supercharge them. Whenever the blade is swung or thrust over the duration the user can fire a concentrated blast of ten bolts of lightning to accompany the strike equal to the rank applied but for only half the cost to initiate the technique. Hatake, Raiu, and Sage enhanced lightning can pass through the blade and apply to these lightning bolts. The bolts cause a thunderously deafening sonic boom and can inflict tier 2 burns upon direct contact with the lightning. Additionally, these lightning bolts can be freely applied to all complex bukijutsu for no action cost to smite enemies. The only action cost is when the technique is activated and all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not consume actions and only chakra. This ability can be used in both forms of Getsuruito.
Draconic Sabre of Moon Sundering [ Getsu Sandaringu no Dorakonikku Seibā ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Complex This is the original ability of the ancient Getsuruito blade and thus requires the original katana form. 5 chakra can be spent to transform the blade to its original form upon activation of this technique. Crackling and thunderous dark blue lightning can be applied to the katana's edge at any rank and the same lightning can form a dragon head formed from electricity over the body of the user for 10 posts. This allows all spiritual techniques the sword comes into contact with to be slashed through and even cut in half at the same rank despite the complex nature of the technique. For half of the original cost to activate the technique a same-rank spiritual electrical energy slash can be sent out from the slash of the blade. This same cost can be applied to any complex bukijutsu to achieve the same effect. The original 10 post activation of this ability consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities do not.
