So question for one of the crew members. When it comes to sand and or magnet release. Can one freely manipulate sand, gold dust, or iron sand to their imagination? If so what would the cost be for utilization and etc?

Free manipulation is actually stated in the show that the users, the Kazekages, actually had to train and create jutsu for after watching and studying Shukaku's sand. If you go to my profile, for Sen Kagen, you can find a free manipulation type custom jutsu within a 30 yard range for reference.

wanted to point out that there is a lot of time being used up, unless a castle/mountain eating land shark that absorbs chakra would somehow go unnoticed anywhere for any reason. Also my characters actions were only delayed for fairness and were not a response to any summons. Also chakra drain at such an extreme level has never been seen before from what I can see.
