Ree listened, not showing this growing realization that there had been a lack of communications between his suggestion and now. A lack of communication or different legal procedures between the island and what he was used to. Used to... used to when none of those laws protected you. Ree nodded quietly, listening to the crowd as well as Vina with a flicker of concern. A they spoke he turned to look at Marion and frowned, wondering why he was trying to hard...and answering himself a moment later. He didn't want more blood spilled if he could help it. Not when it wasn't needed. " Instead of telling us what you don't know, why don't you tell us what you do know.? something we can confirm" he said quietly. " They want your blood and silence is not helping" Turning away he looked at Vina and went quiet again.

Marion was crying in fear and frustration, "I already told you! I didn't do anything to Ashral but hit her when she refused to listen to me!! I don't know about all that other stuff. Lena would go talk to mother all the time and they did things in the shrine but I don't know why! I wasn't allowed in there and I wasn't allowed in mother's office. Hope was the one who told me about the spirits but I thought she was lying!" Marion cried out. "I didt know what to tell you!!"
Vina stodd there with her arms crossed as she sighed. "What do you,know of them making vampires... And killing my sister..." she asked with a low but annoyed tone.
"I...I don't know. They brought people from the mainland. True races. But I didn't know until recently that they took spirits too and brought them back. I only knew because Hope told me about it." she answered frantically, panicked and scared.

Hope didn't sound so innocent now either, he didn't even know how she died. He had assumed Lena killed her to keep her place but maybe that wasn't it either. Staring at Marion he suddenly sighed, the black soul was still missing. Either alternate personality,//us..// a soft voice whispered in his mind making him shiver, possession...or something else but at the end he didn't know. Looking up at Vina he motioned slightly toward the estate. "If I can have permission to return and look through Carmilla's office, we might find something we can use now" he said sounding a little hopeful, there might be nothing especially if Marion was working with someone else and they had access to the office,basically any time after Lena's death. "In the mean time ...perhaps have her held until the investigation is done then call another meeting with the facts in hand?" the last part he whispered in Vina's direction but no idea if she heard.

Vina sighed as Marion didn't seem to be playing helpful and it was starting to get to her by now. Looking up to acknowledge Ree's words, a request to gather more information. She thought for a moment before answering him. "Is an hour enough time to search for what you need? If not, I will have to postpone the trial until tomorrow. And I feel the less chance she has of attempting to escape or anything, the better." she responded quietly.
"In the mean time.." she paused to give Marq a look and nod as well casting a glance out to Nero as they both made their way up to the side of the platform, ready to move up at her word. "I will have them help me take her back until your return with, hopefully, information."

"I'll send word if I need more time" he said quietly as he turned around on the stage until he could see the estate then sight teleported directly to its outer walls. A few wing beats later he was flying above the wall and phasing directly into the study, solidifying a moment later as he grasp the stone around his neck, tense as he looked around fro enemies. Finally turning on the lights with a thought and moving around hunting for anything that would give them information on the Helm family, Ashral, spirits, and the reason/creation of the purple sky/weaponry. Putting anything of interest in the middle of the room to separate.

Vina nodded seriously to Ree as he answered that he would let her know if he needed more time and he disappeared.
Meanwhile, the guys went to work getting her back to the house for now, her terrified and frustrated screams echoing through the streets as they moved her.
Within the study, there was very large bookshelf that took up almost an entire wall in the room. Any inspection of spirits would turn up that there were no enemies in the building or the surrounding area.
Further inspection of the bookshelf, would turn up books about history of the island, general books about spirits and their existence, and only a single book about weaponry that didn't seem to actually pertain to the island's dealings with weaponry at all and only appeared to serve as a guide for the types of weapons there were on the mainland.
It felt like there should have been more, and there likely was if he could just look in the right place.midnightspirit Please roll a D20 in your response.

Ree quick look through the large bookshelf only brought up books that seem to give general information of what he was looking for. Yet, from Vina to Marion every one was sure the information to everything that here in this room and if going from prior experiences there was likely some hidden connection here like there was in the lab. Phasing he attempted to walk through the bookshelf itself first to see if there was something there. If not then walk around the room through its walls.

Phasing through the bookshelf, he found nothing out of the ordinary with it, just the bookshelf against the wall that honestly lead into the hallway easily. The office appeared to be a normal office, the large bookshelf that stretched across the entire left wall, a large desk in the center, and some foliage in the corners. There was a cot to the right of the room that didn't look all that used but had blankets folded on it as though expecting to be used on occasion. There was some paperwork on the desk, but nothing out of the ordinary or exceptionally eye catching.midnightspirit Please roll five D20's in your next response.

Ree sighed as he returned to the middle of the room after finding nothing. Looking closely again at the area before moving to check and move the plants and the cot. Eventually he returned and started to check the desk normal paperwork then moving everything out and checking taping the desk for hidden compartments before moving back to the bookshelves and going from the top shelf he started to take and open every book before putting it on a pile to the side tiredly.

Moving things around proved fruitless, there was nothing to be found in the pots or cots. No hidden compartments but there were a few locked drawers on the desk, one was unlocked which held a book that explained deeper on spirits and the purple sky.
"There were incantations of manipulating spirits, how they captured spirits within runes of holding to transport them by spells into husks, or dead bodies. It further explained how the body had to be recently deceased within a week and there had to be some form of link made, a similtary between the body and the soul. Something physical or by personality. The more similarities, the stronger the bond would be and the likeliness of failing would diminish."
"The purple sky was created by the power of three combined mages that held fast a barrier that was powerful enough to cause rifts in distance and time. When the purple sky held fast, no one can leave and no one can enter the barrier. The only way to dispel the entire barrier is to kill all three mages that created the barrier in the first place."
Looking through papers on the desk, he could compare the weaponry inventory list with the one on the desk but his movements knocked over a drink that was still on the desk, running the ink on the page and ruin the lettering completely making both papers illegible.midnightspirit Please roll four D20's in your response.

Ree sighed and headed back to the desk after a while, tired of looking through the book shelf and not finding much of interest. He had originally done a quick skim of the contents of the desk encase Camellia has been of the type to hide something in plain sight. He nearly kicks himself when he realizes there were a few more drawers he had mistaken for designs that were locked and one was open. Opening it he pulled out the book he found in there and casually started to look through it, blinking as he slowed down as the information started getting more complicated until he reached the point he had no idea what he was looking at, at least diagram wise as he stared at the words instead. Memorizing what he could he frowned and closed the book remembering the diagram he had in his pack and putting the book under am arm to take with him. Turning he blinked as he felt his wing brush against something on the desk and turned only to see a liquid rushing over a paper that barely had a similar shape to the weapon list he took from the container. Sh**! How did he miss that?! "Tired..... damn it..." he muttered quietly with a hint of frustration as he took a breath and tried to calm down again as he grabbed the blanket fromt he cot and dried the liquid before putting it back. If there was an alliance with this island Vina would be able to find it because they will be reaching out to her eventually. That paper would likely not be the only evidence left behind, he hoped and there was still the one in his pocket. Sighing he looked at the other locked drawers tiredly before placing his hand on the desk to steady it before pulling at it with his telekinesis. Lets see what the others had.

In the first drawer he found more papers of invoices for weaponry from seemingly different suppliers of varying amounts and products. They were much older but at least legible.
In a second drawer there was a journal that appeared to have been kept by Carmella herself, most of the information was excerpts from the books regarding spirits and implementing the purple sky with the help of Lena and had an entry about tricking Hope into helping as well since the twins were incapable of being involved, although the reason wasn't written down. There was a few entries about the laboratory and how it seems it was existent before she came to the island, and even discovered the same symbols but she didn't know what they were. She made mention that the symbol were scrawled on papers everywhere in the laboratory when she first discovered it. And there was even a large ritual room above the lab that had the same symbol drawn out on the floor largely and in blood. It was odd, but since had been removed.
The last entries in the journal detailed how they were experimenting with using vampire-turned humans as hosts for reborn spirits so that they would last longer and not easily die. But there were many complications in the test runs that caused the host to die within a week. As for Ashral, she made note that the soul binded almost immediately and slowly became a permanent bond over ten days, a remarkable feat. She had every intension of using Ashral to create more vampires to make an army of undead under her control to wage war against the true races on the immediate mainland. It also listed experiments of vampirism and how the sun affected them, making them extraordinarily weak during daylight hours in the suns rays. The other note detailed the need to drink blood and that they found alternatives to slaughtering pigs to drain blood for them to consume. Although, the longer they go without blood, the more they will crave the urge to drink human blood. So caution was advised.

Ree frowned and pulled the invoices out with a flicker of confusion as he stared at all the different suppliers that were different than the one he had in his pocket. Running his hand through his hair he turned a blank sheet of paper over and quickly wrote the suppliers names before folding that up and pocketing it. It was low on his list of things to find but he wasn't about to lose the opportunity to learn. If anything he might give it to Mar- A shiver ran through him as he let out a soft whimper of emotional pain, his eyes suddenly hot as he turned away for a moment and took a breath. Ashral wasn't here, no one was as far as he could tell, he could relax but... not... not here. Swallowing he turned back to the desk and put the invoices back into the first drawer, closing it. Moving on to the next drawer he blinked and pulled out something that looked like a journal. Frowning he took a new sheet of paper and started writing what he could of the experiments performed, reborn spirits, Ashral's specific changes, Weaknesses, cautions, the laboratory and ritual room as well the the symbol itself. The last one sent a shiver through him, his curiosity was peaked but the description of it was already giving warnings that he didn't really want to know what it was. Outside of that, the twins... he assumed Rika and Vina were the ones that couldn't be used for the purple sky for some reason ..and there was no mention of Marion at all nor any male either like their father... or someone who might have helped her. Also ...came to this island? Carmella had no been born here? Closing his eyes he lifted the journal blindly and closed it as well. A moment later he snapped his eyes opened again and grabbed the necklace under his shirt as he looked around again for spirits. It was starting to be more of a habit than not, especially here. The more time he spent here the more he wanted to leave, realizing he was slowly starting to panic as the feeling he might not be able to leave again started to rise. Checking that he had both books he turned away and headed to the window, turning to stare at other end of the gate before sight-teleporting there. Turning, he looked behind him, staring at the gate he had tried to rush out of so many times. //destroy it.....DESTROY IT!// his own mind whispered with a rush of fury and fear while another part wanted to leave right that moment. Turning away he looked to the town again, wings pulled in close as he sight teleported to the edge of the crowd then moved along the edges of a house. Grabbed on to the edge of a pillar, his sight started to swim, even now everything was starting to focused into specific areas. Looking exhausted he tried to find Vina before he checked the house.

Vina had been pacing in front of the platformed stage as she appeared stressed about the situation. Giselle was sitting on the edge of the platform, talking with her but it Vina wasn't responding even if she might have been listening. Most of the crowd still remained there expectantly for an answer, talking among themselves at the moment. Marion had already been taken away for the time being until Ree returned. Katarina was standing at the front of the crowd, staring down Vina as she moved, arms folded as she waited for word to go retrieve Marion once more.
Vina looked up, doing a double-take before she spotted Ree, moving off to the side and around to talk to him more discreetly away from the crowd. "Ree, did you find anything?" she asked with worry as she looked from the crowd who hadn't exactly noticed that she had moved off. "Are.. you okay?" she then questioned, reaching out a hand to put on his shoulder with concern.

Ree jumped not spotting Vina until she had nearly touched him. "Uh... tired. just tired. " he said quickly as he followed her gaze and sighed. "No, I found nothing that mentioned her interestingly enough. There might be more information but I didn't find it. " he said handing Carmella's journal over to Vina. "There are invoices in Carmella's desk that tell who she has been buying supplies from, book on spirits, the journal itself tells how she has been working on vampires and how Hope was tricked into being one of the mages who help up the purple sky along with Lena and Carmela herself." he paused looking at her directly then slightly away as he looked guilty. "There is mention that the twins..which I assume is you and Rika could not be used ..but no mention of Marion" he said with a sigh, remembering one of the guards so long ago mention Vina's parent and assumed there was something there but he had no clue.
"I would look in the other rooms but I don't know how she thinks..or where she might put that information. " he said apologetically.
