[you used terran twice. intentional?]

"Boomshakalaka!"

It only took a few more seconds to delete and hastily insert the code. The lead programmer did a quick proofread, being sure the code wouldn't come back faulty, then pressed enter. No special flashing lights, no buzzers or confetti would sound and fall, but the effect was instant in the next room. All the robots simply stopped moving.

While the workhouse was filled with confusion, the room Eric was in erupted in cheers. Noah himself seemed pleased, though he managed to still look professional with but a smile. He approached Eric with a hand out.

"Thank you. Sorry again that you weren't able to use your world class talents here, but despite the looks of things, you and your friend really did make a difference. Now with this done, I think all of us human-types will have to leave. But make sure you talk to Bildeau on your way out."

((Edited the first Terran to say Eric. It's probably happened because I am far more used to saying Terran then Eric. Terran being my third, fourth, fifth character depending on how you look at. Eric hasn't showed up outside Aekea that I renember.))
"No I feel if anyone was unsatisied with the experience it was probably Terran."
Eric replied while look up and grabbing Noah's hand. He tried to shake it and whether successful or not would walk until they were standing next to Bildeau.

"We were asked to come and talk to you before we left." Terran told Bildeau.

A handshake and the two [three?] were off to see Bildeau, who was using a cloth to dust himself.

"Thank you for your help," he started. "Designation 'Eric,' you said that you are a hacker? While you will not be allowed near our computers lest this fiasco happens again, you two will be given a free pass for a proper, guided tour of the facility. That, along with your pay, is in this envelope."

A compartment opened up in Bildeau's chest, and the aforementioned envelope was presented to them; it didn't matter who accepted it.

Chen Ning

A black Toyota Celica drives away from the city's checkpoint as it enters into the interior of Aekea, the headlights pressing through the dark, even though the streets had enough lights to make this town into a glistering night. People were probably at home now, though that would not keep others from going out and enjoying the evening with some drinks and night entertainment. Chen was use to seeing this type of environment as he looks at the setting that passes by, so he didn't feel alienated from the environment. He was currently driving through the Central District, bypassing the many buildings in this industrial section of the city, yet he was moving south, toward the more rough part of town.

He seemed to be drawn toward these sections of cities more than the positive areas, only because he was a person who liked to dare the dark side of things and take risks that were normally suppose to be thought on. He was a cop, after all, so some courage was required for being in such an occupation, but Chen was different. He was naturally a daredevil, having plunged himself into many situations throughout his life, so even if he was going into a death trap, it looked more like an opportunity for him. However, he was smart enough to not make it obvious that he was some type of cop. He didn't wear any of the usual uniforms that GPD personnel wore. He just had on a long black coat over a blue dress shirt with a tie over it. He would seem more like a wealthy man from the west just coming into town to search for one of those out-of-place taverns.

Yet, he had a purpose. He knew of the black market that existed here. And so, it could be pretty simple to figure out why a cop like him was present. Yet, it was normally suicidal for some cop to try to come and shut down the entire industry. Fortunately, Chen wasn't here for that. He was here to use the black market for other purposes. After all, what better place to get high quality equipment and information than from the underworld itself, the literal database of secrets and lies. This was going to be great. Parking his car at a sidewalk near a tavern, he turns it off and steps out of his car, the asian male shutting the door and having a small beep go off to designate that the alarm was on. With his clothing neat, checking with a pull on his coat, he walks himself into a tavern. It was investigation time, the Chen Ning way.

NAF War Airship Vengeance

The air pulsed with a throb of pressure as an airship suddenly appeared, 10 kilometers from the northern outskirts of Aekea. On the bridge, Captain Krik sat in his chair resting his chin on his fist with his elbow on the arm of the chair. No one seemed indifferent about the ship's sudden jaunt out of the Fringe; but, then again, this wasn't the first time any of them had experienced it.

"Mr. Tulu, report," Krik croaked.

"We are ten clicks from the target area, captain," replied the helmsman, Mr. Tulu, a skeletal man in a tattered red uniform.

"Excellent. Hold position five clicks out and stand-by."

"We are in position, captain," Mr. Tulu reported once the airship was within five kilometers of the city, where it came to a full stop and hovered in the air.

"Dispatch the fliers," Krik ordered.

Large, steel-paneled doors opened along the underside of the airship's hull and small, black, pod-like structures came dropping out. A pair of wings flipped out of each of them and they transformed, flattening out to look more like small aircraft, not more than 20 feet in length. Negative energy burst from the thrusters in the back of the tiny crafts as they darted away from the airship, gliding toward Aekea.

To be honest, this sort of thing did not go unnoticed.

"Sir, we got a bogey incoming, range five kilos. Big ********," the radar officer said as he checked the scanners. "Been monitoring it for a while now, it hasn't responded to IFF."

A man with military decorations stood in the control tower, peering out at the city skyline. Cops were not going to be able to handle this... but hey, it was more than likely that they were going to try. He picked up his cell to warn them not to... when suddenly the radar officer (and others in his same position) suddenly began going on high alert.

"Five contacts coming from our bogey, closing fast on our airspace! They're not playing around..."

The man closed his cell phone and said, "Well hell, neither are we. Clear to engage."

One minute later, anti-aircraft fire attempted to shoot the fighters down as multiple 30mm autocannons showed themselves from the military base.

"Get the Raptors fired up- we need to assert air superiority ASAP."

"Yes sir."

The Wraiths broke formation to evade the anti-aircraft fire, fanning out to both sides while the craft at point swooped down lower to the ground, flying just above building rooftops. It fired on one of the guns ahead of it to take it out while it was busy firing on one of the other Wraiths. The other four were strafing away from the gunfire, but three of them were hit, with a fourth taking a few rounds but managing to stay in the air. They didn't explode in mid-air though; they crashed into or around the city below, where they then exploded, leaving behind a green, toxic looking cloud. The remaining two Wraiths would kamikaze themselves to take out at least two more guns, exploding with green clouds of smoke as well.

Don't celebrate just yet though. More Wraiths were coming out of Vengeance's hangar.

"Batteries two, five, and ten destroyed, but we got 'em, sir. No time to think though, we got more company."

The Captain nodded and said, "Well that company is about to meet our welcoming party. Scramble the fighters, now."

One after the other, Six F-22 Raptors took off from the base and prepared for Air Combat Maneuvers.

"Spearhead One One to all wings, multiple bandits head on, angels ten. Retain line abreast formation until targets are engaged, copy?"

"Copy," the other pilots responded.

Six might not be enough. The Wraiths continued to drop out of the airship, flying in three formations, five fighters each. They flew head-on to meet the Raptors, opening fire on the high-tech jets. Bolts of blue and violet energy streaked across the air to blast the Raptors out of the sky.

"Begin sending the transports," Captain Krik ordered, "Keep their fighters occupied. Any Wraiths not engaged are to take out those AA guns and provide cover for the transports."

NAF Transport Vessel Shadowrunner

Four of these bulkier looking vessels flew out from the hangar doors opening on either side of the Vengeance's hull, swooping down toward the city while some Wraiths circled back to escort them, one for each Shadowrunner. If they made it to the ground, two dozen undead soldiers would begin pouring out of each of them and begin fighting in the streets.

"Holy s**t, there are a lot of them..."

The leader smirked and said, "Guess that means we just have to work overtime until more of ours get off of the ground."

And then, they were opened fire on.

"s**t, break! Break!"

They broke formation and began engaging the enemy, the six fighters weaving and bobbing in between beams of death. One of the shots scraped along the leader's plane, but it otherwise left it unharmed. He gritted his teeth and said, "All wings, get a lock as quick as you can; multiple tracking. Fire at will."

One of the raptors had three targets tracked and locked, and smirked as he said, "How about we give you a bit of a starter. I've got tone... Spearhead One Four, Fox Three!"

Three AIM-120 missiles were fired in rapid succession, one for each target. Each fighter called out their own ordinance deployments, and the game was afoot. Fifteen fighters, fifteen missiles, all with active homing.

As for the transports, the autocannon fire from the remaining batteries continued, with the Captain looking onto the whole thing with a calm, level expression. He was not going to make any assumptions yet.

Maybe they should worry about evading enemy fire than trying to get a lock, because these Wraiths would be relentless, pursuing the Raptors as they broke formation. Radar guidance would probably be their saving grace, as these ships did not give off heat signatures. Five of the missiles would hit their marks, while the others would be evaded. The six Wraiths pursuing the Raptors continued firing upon them, while the debris of the five that were hit fell to the ground below, leaving the same noxious green clouds.

The Spectres made it to the ground, doors opening and spilling out hulking abominations. These were not the conventional, flesh-eating, slow-moving, mindless zombies. They were half-dead brutes that could move as fast as any living soldier. Vastly upgraded from the versions created by Dr. Iskugawa, they were better, faster, and stronger than their predecessors. They wore little armor - it wasn't needed, and their muscles were too big for anything to hold - and carried a chainsword in each hand. These abominations began cutting a path of death and destruction as they made their way toward the military base. The Spectres took off, returning to the Vengeance to pick up the next batch.

"Damn, they got through!"

And then it happened... they began recieving reports of multiple hostile contacts heading their way at rapid pace. Four teams of twenty four... and they were huge bastards, too.

The Captain grimaced. This was turning very ugly, very quickly. It appeared that they would now officially have to get down and dirty with these guys. "Send out the Strykers. I want anti-armor teams on the ground, five minutes ago. Keep up that anti-air fire, and get more jets off the ground. I want this threat suppressed yesterday, gentlemen."

Before long, ten Stryker APCs armed with TOW missiles and .50 caliber machine guns headed out, a total of eleven soldiers each inside. One gunner, one driver, nine anti-armor units. Moving in groups of two, they went looking for any enemy units, and once found, simply began opening fire, starting from maximum range so that the soldiers could get out safely.

And once that happened, then the real battle began as multiple Predator SRAW missiles were fired on each group.

Meanwhile in the air, suppressive fire was maintained on the remaining four fighters that were heading towards the base. There was still plenty of it to go around, and frankly it was coming in high volume. The six Raptor pilots attempted to shake their foes with defensive maneuvers, hoping to outmatch them with engine power and turning capability.

"Damn, what the hell are these guys?"

Spearhead One One bared his teeth as he attempted to lose his mark."Not human. That sure as hell has been clarified. Where is our backup, dammit?"

Remember those noxious green clouds that were left behind from the first group of Wraiths shot down? Yeah. Those should be affecting anyone near their vicinity right about now. Inhalation of the green fumes made the lungs close up, leading to suffocations, and then death. It wouldn't be a permanent death though; any victims would rise back to their feet again as zombies and attack the nearest living persons, and being that these would be freshly dead zombies, they had no problem running after their next meal.

The four Wraiths under fire from the AA guns went kamikaze to take them out, leaving more green clouds around the base. The six chasing after the Raptors were doing a good job of keeping up, but their shots kept missing from all the maneuvers, blasting buildings instead or just flying off into the air.

The transports arrived and began loading up on a second shipment of troops. The airship's engines rumbled and Vengeance loomed closer to the city.

"Batteries nine, twelve, and eight are destroyed."

The Captain sighed and said, "Well we'll just have to..."

Another alert sounded. "Damn, the soldiers are getting killed by that gas! Wait, what the... report, repeat, report the situation!"

"Oh, my God... they're geting back up. s**t, they're headed this way! Fire, fire!"

Gunfire sounded off on the radio as they began shooting at their former comrades. "Unit fifteen, respond!"

"It's just like Barton... these ******** are the living dead, sir! We need to take them out, ASAP! Give us everything you got over there!"

The Captain responded this time. "Copy that. We're sending out reinforcements now." He hung up and said, "What's the status of those Raptors."

The chief radar officer nodded and said, "They are in the air and approaching the combat zone."

His CO immediately replied, "Good. Get me a couple of Longbows in the air as well for CAS. And get me SOCOM on the line, tell them we need Force Recon over here. They want ugly, they're about to get it. All soldiers on the base are now on chemical alert, gas masks on at all times. Get it done."

The radar officer grinned and said, "Thought you'd never ask, sir."

In the air, three sections of Raptors, four fighters to each section, were airborne and heading towards the combat zone as fast as they could. Still, seeing as they could go supersonic without the use of their full capacity, this was an easier task than normal.

"Spearhead One One, this is Switchblade, the cavalry has arrived. What luck?"

That was music to his ears, really. "Damn you for being late, Switchblade. And bless you for coming! We got bandits on our six- we're doing a good job of making them miss, but we need some shots placed on them, now."

"I gotcha. They won't even see these coming."

And they wouldn't, because the AIM-120 missiles were about to be fired from mid-range. "I got tone. Section leaders, lock and load. Engage targets and fire on my mark."

"Right behind you, boss."

The section leader smirked and said coolly as he set his sights on one of the Wraiths, "Switchblade One, Fox Three."

As if on his cue, six Raptors unleashed one missile each.
