She'd talked to trees and caterpillars, cheshire cats and disembodied voices as she wandered Wonderland. It was all quite an interesting experience and quite a pleasing one at that. She was strolling in Tulgey Woods now looking around and grinning at the riot of color and sound. Everything suddenly shook, she jerked around confused as the shaking was followed by steam and smoke. There were sudden terrible cracking sounds and she watched startled as things started running past her, running away. She might have had the time to be enchanted or amused by the interesting creatures if it hadn't been for what they all said as they ran.
It's coming!
What? What was coming? Suddenly she was left in silence, a total silence that was deeply disturbing after all the clamoring. She felt it then, like icy fingers brushing against her spine, there was something behind her. Slowly she twisted to look and gasped.
She didn't know what it was, she didn't even want to know what it was, she just wanted to get away from it. Although UT had come to consider being congenial to everything in Wonderland an important rule to follow, she was fairly certain that any attempt at being congenial with this creature would not yield favorable results. As she tried to turn to run one burning eye fixed upon her and it lunged with it's terrible long neck, SNAP!
She didn't need the pocket card to tell her it was bad! She knew it was bad!
She turned and ran...

Her heart was pounding in her chest and she knew there was no time to stop, no time to pause, not even for tea! She ran as fast as she could her direction was frantic just as it had been when she'd been trying to escape that blasted Up Anywhere sign. After a while UT realized she'd outrun it, at least far enough away that the horrible eye couldn't peer down upon her.
Still the footsteps were heavy, she had to keep running..except there were voices now. Voices that weren't quite right, not that thing, not voices from Wonderland, voices from another place...a place she cared for very deeply.
UT could hear her feathered friend, he was calling her, he was asking her to turn back, to help.

Yes, apparently the jabberwock couldn't read or something because JabberWhut was outrunning it. It had disappeared behind him but strangely enough, he started hearing large footfalls. It was still time to run.
He started hearing a voice. No that couldn't be right. He wasn't at the lake unless the lake was extending its magic back towards the woods. Yes, that might be possible. Wait, no, he was still running away from the jabberwock. He had to keep running.
"Hi little brother. How long are you going to keep running?" He could almost feel her breath on his back. He wanted to turn around. He wanted to stop. This was nonsense. No, no, no he was still running away from the jabberwock. There was just something weird going on.
"Are you really going to keep running?"

He was Running!
There was a split that the Hunter could take, and there was a little pot of healing potion. It was an easy, mindless decision! HEALSHEALSHEALS. He took a quick detour to the potion, going to pop it and chug it down as fast as his body would allow it, feeling slightly refreshed now.OOC My character's username: MaybeAllan

He had been catching his breath this time, when he thought he heard someone's voice - one that was more likely to be around. Turning around, he looked to see if he could find his visored friend.

Shuddering she staggered along until she came to a fork in the road and paused, but just as before she knew she wanted to go left. She'd always found herself listing left in Wonderland and so she trusted her instincts again.
She felt prickles of guilt for not having turned back at the sound of her friend's voice. What kind of monster was she to always turn her back on those who cared for her? No, no this was just a game, just a game, no one was going to get hurt, not really...right?
She grabbed the second chance timer because she didn't even believe her own self assurances. She kept running because fear trickled down her spine and made her muscles twitch.

Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!"
It was coming! It was coming! She ran blindly twisting and turning, but the thing...the Jabberwock, it moved with her, faster, twisting, snapping. She panicked and almost hit a tree, but the Jabberwock snapped it in two first. It's head twisted, it snapped!
Her second chance was gone, and now she was completely frantic in her efforts to escape.

TheBoughman was feeling rather pleased with himself. He’d outwitted a cat (which was harder than it sounded) and talked to trees, escaped death from potentially poisonous mushrooms…Yep, the world was a good place!
Until it wasn’t. Everything was shaking and smoking and his first thought was VOLCANO but that was a stupid thought. There were voices yelling about something coming. WHAT was coming? Things were running. Running things meant you should probably run in the direction they were running because RUNNING FROM STUFF WAS BAD? Of course, he also had to turn around and look at what they were running from.
Bad idea.
“JACKING ---“ And then he was running, backwards, at first, before turning around with some fancy footwork and hightailing it in the direction everyone else was. SNAP and pain.
Critical! 10 HP Left!
The JACKING HELL did that mean? No, he wasn’t a gamer, obviously.

She raced through the woods her battle card warning her of low HP, she couldn't stop to check it's beeping. She didn't even remember the pin that could have taken her to the guild. All she could think about was escape, was running from the Jabberwock!
It snapped and she felt a slice along her arm, it was a bare scratch, but her HP was lower now than ever before. She had no second chances and so she ran as fast as she could strafing through trees and trembling in fear.

TheBoughman managed to outrun the Jabberwocky, panting heavily (man he was out of shape) but still trudging on. He could hear his Elder's voice from behind him, urging him to turn around. He tried to ignore it - but he couldn't.
He turned around, stopping just a moment - and SNAP - he was back at the beginning.
