"But I have to tell you everything since you were sleeping a lot!" the child exclaimed., "Because Mr. Mun took me and we went home and I was really really scared but Mrs. Mun let me sit down and didn't touch me and then Mr. Mun came home really really early and said you guys were here and me and Hal stayed together. And she made breakfast and it wasn't in a can!"

Malcom kept talking and talking about the games he played, the people he met, some person named god who existed everywhere, how Hal was super protective of him. He told lots of new jokes he learned too, laughing with the other and listening to him talk. Eventually it grew too late, Malcom dozing between his words and soon he was asleep, cuddling the warm body.

Hal was was the first to wake up, the android one, the hound woke up soon after though kept his lazy position on the foot of the bed, watching the android move about to prepare things for their departure.

Malcom and Momo woke up a few hours later, "Good morning, you two." he greeted, sensing the dread in his friend. "did you sleep well?"

"I'm still sleepy." the boy admitted.

Hal looked over and nodded. "Everything is packed and ready to go."

Malcom yawned, getting out of bed, the maned-wolf climbing out beside the child and following. "What's for breakfast?"

"We'll take you back home, first. I'm sure your mother is cooking you something delicious." the android said with a smile. "Come on, I'm sure they missed not having you for a night."

"Okay." the child yawned, holding on to the red fur of his Hal and followed.

Malcom gave a sleepy smile as he was lifted, resting his head on Mun's shoulder.

Hal gave a smile, reaching out and shaking the man's hand. "I hope you and your family do well in the future."

Malcom looked sadly at the two but gave a small smile. "i'll miss you. Come back soon, okay?"

"Maybe in a few years, but I wouldn't wait, okay?"

"Okay." he yawned, clinging to his new father. "You be good too."

"We'll do our best." Hal summoned his best smile. "Thank you very much for all you've done for us. Goodbye." One couldn't really say 'we'll be seeing you' when there wa a very high chance they wouldn't ever cross again. So the android turned, walking, pulling out a can of fruit. "Here you go. For breakfast." he offered to Momo.

"I'll make note of that." and stuck it back in his backpack, continuing silently behind him under the still dark sky, though the stars were disappearing. The chances of them finding a place remotely as good as this were slim to none, Hal knew this for fact, but they were moving. To where, he didn't know, and as for why, he definitely didn't know. He just knew he'd follow Monoki to the ends of the earth if he went there.

Tom was a surprise though, Hal more surprised as he was hugged. "I've memorized our location. Should we need a place to stay, we'll come back." Hal promised, nodding. And soon they were out of the gates, and Hal glanced back once more with sadness and regret. Momo, though... "Momo. You're crying." he murmured, moving closer, gently placing an arm around him. "We'll be okay. I promise."

"I'm sorry." he murmured, not letting go as they walked. "I wouldn't call you that. Your decision is your decision. I may not know about the soul but I know that it does what it wants until it is satisfied. Yours has yet to be satisfied." he let go, holding on to the straps of his bag. "we can try going back, but due to the explosion in the building it might be unstable. I don't know how much of it fell I--" He saw Kage hitting Momo so hard his face had turned red, he saw the pure excitement in the man's eyes, he heard Momo's pleas for help.

And that rage he'd forgotten he'd experienced flared up and burned at his chest and limbs, eyebrows knitting together tightly as he grit his teeth.

Then the flurry of emotions, of worry and rage and fear.

He could feel his processor heating up, his metal heart quickening its pace.

"I was trying to rescue you."

he saw Momo being put in to the fire, and, and he didn't know. The rage, it had consumed him. Every fiber every atom, hearing Kage's yell.

"I'm not hurting you. I have no data in my harddrive that I'm hurting you." he remembered saying.

Then, then...

the rage drained from his face and body.

he'd killed. he had not only harmed a human. He had killed one.

"Then kas found and saved us." he said robotically, trying to erase the memories from his hard drive, but they were locked in.

"We can look, but the layout of the building is unknown to me and it may very well be in ruin."

The blue eyes blinked before looking over at Momo. Building, apartment.

His eyes moved to the bottom, trying to remember before--

That was right, that's where they'd gotten kidnapped.

"I'm... sorry." he said, looking down and left to right, turning his head slightly as though he was confused. And he was. "There appears to be a, glitch, in my memory. I don't know what's causing it. My apologies."
