He pretty much only captured this one because he had somehow managed to flop his entire body on top of it. It was quite sad, and pathetic really, but he considered it a major achievement for his own part.
Will you marry me? A simple phrase, and yet even more warmth permeated him, making him feel more then he had been before. This memory seemed to bring with it a strong sense of happiness, of contentment that faded away as the words did.

After that ridiculous stunt, it might have come as quite a shock when he began to shuffle back towards her, hand shooting out to snatch a fragment from the air that had just barely been within reach, as though he had been doing this for his entire existence and had only just been feigning being terrible at it.
And maybe he had been. Nobody would ever no.
This one brought with it just one simple word. Family. The warmth that it filled him with was paramount to anything else, and so was one other little fact.
"I have five now! It's time to go and be shaped by the goddess." Because that was the reward that was promised, and he was excited for this particular reward.

Nanco ran out into the world, and immediately started looking for these fragments. She had a task! And by Goddesses, she would finish it! As the small grey figure ran along the paths, she pounced for one of the little bits of light, but it flew away from her enthusiastic efforts.

Seemingly oblivious to the dangers of the precarious twisted paths, Nanco continued to run and pounce at the fragments along them. As if attempting to keep her from hurting herself, one fragment practically flew into her.
She felt a brief warmth, and a flash of something else.
"Fascinating!"
Which was quickly gone. What had that feeling been? Would she feel it again if she caught another one? Intrigued, the small figure resumed her hunt.

Her persistence paid off. Nanco's hands closed around another fragment.

For whatever reason, the fragments down this little section of path seemed to like her! Were the little points of light aware of their surroundings? They certainly acted like it when they evaded her, but this one had been caught almost willingly.

Just one more! Nanco spotted another fragment, and jumped at it. Her hands closed around it. She landed triumphantly on her belly as another message flashed through her head.
"research"
She'd done it! She had all five fragments! Jumping back to her feet, she twirled happily in a circle before running back toward the shrine to show the Goddesses her success.

For the first time, Nush found himself in an area not dominated by blue. He looked around warily, not really sure what to expect of this twisted land. World's Edge had a sort of serene quality to it, but this place seemed to have a somewhat more sinister touch to it all.
He narrowed his eye(s) and proceeded with caution, keeping his gun at hand.
There should be blessings in this area too. He would find them.
