Miyuki took a bun as it was, but added from fruit to her napkin. She would probably eat the cuts of meat separately later as well.
"More practical?" she asked as she nibbled on her bun.

Lancaeriel nodded and swallowed down her mouthful.
"Your idea is to make it so that they never run out of arrows, correct?" she asked, just to make sure that she was working on this problem from the right angle. If she wasn't, then she would have to continue in her reading just to make sure she was giving Miyuki the right information.

Miyuki nodded, "Yes, in the end, that was the idea."
Though when her teacher did it that way, that did open up the possibilities a lot more she realized. Even if Miyuki wasn't quite sure what her teacher had in mind.
"What did you have in mind?"

"Rather than having the arrows return, since that's such an iffy business, I was thinking it would be easier to put an infinity spell - well, an infinity rune, to be more specific - on each part of the quiver," Lancaeriel suggested. "Each time an arrow is removed from the quiver, it would immediately be replaced. No matter how many were used, they would never run out."
It was just a thought, but to her it made more sense, and really it would be more feasible.

That would make things much easier, though while the concept sounded simple, Miyuki was curious.
"How does it work? I mean... where does the replacement come from?"
How did the physical matter appear she wondered.

Lancaeriel smiled softly. "Now that is a mystery I have never been able to solve," she murmured. "I was working on it, once ... I believe that was just before my second death. Until you reminded me just now, I forgot about it completely."
She laughed. "Ah, well. It is a spell I have used before, and never with any repercussions."
Though it did make her curious again.

There was a smile at that, because Miyuki could see the curiousity in Lancaeriel (then again it was rare Lancaeriel was never curious).
She nodded, "That sounds like a much better plan, and if you want to work on that question sometime, tell me. I'd like to help."
Since it did make her wonder, it just seemed so odd because it had to come from somewhere.

Lancaeriel smiled widely. "By all means," she said brightly. "I would enjoy that, very much, I think! unfortunately, it's not the kind of work we can do easily while on the move, or in a short time, so it will have to wait at least until we find a place to stay for a month or so."
She had no idea when that would end up being, and it probably wouldn't be for quite a while; but she would try to keep it in mind. She had a great deal of things to remember, after all.

"I don't know the likelihood of us staying in one place for a month or so," Miyuki replied wryly.
They might not be able to do anything until after the trip, but Miyuki was sure that Lancaeriel would have found her husband before then. The thought made her both excited for Lancaeriel and a bit sad.

"Depending on where we are, we may have no choice come winter," the former druidess pointed out with a smile. "I know Kyrie is confident in her ability to travel no matter the weather, but I'm afraid that groups as inexperienced and as large as ours would have a very difficult time of it. Unless we are in a place where winter travel is as easy as fading or stirring travel, at the very least, we will probably have to stop."
But there were other possibilities, after all. For example, who was to say that they might not find her husband, and that she might not stay with him? Or that he may not remember who he was, and they would have to wait until he did?
"And we will be stopping for a while at least in the place where Kyrie's husband is," she recalled suddenly.
Even with her observational abilities, the fact that Kyrie was married had come as a complete surprise to her.

"Oh yea...." Miyuki blinked, "I forgot about that, we will be staying a while there."
She could completely understand why. Growing up, she had never seen her father and mother without each other, so she couldn't imagine what it must be like for Kyrie to be away for so long.
"You know... finding out she has a husband took everyone by surprise..." Miyuki commented.

"That's because no one can imagine a husband a wife living apart from each other by choice," Lancaeriel said dryly. "In almost thirty thousand years, Coriander and I have been separated only by death and our searches to find one another again ... and until now I had always thought that would be the only force that could keep a husband and wife apart."
She shook her head slowly, incredulously. "And she doesn't even talk about him ... there was no clue, nothing to indicate she is married ... that there was anyone she cares about ..."
She would occasionally speak of her sister and brother in law and their children, Corazin and Lily, and she had mentioned her brother a few times, the one who lived with the man and woman who had adopted her when she'd been young ... and if she was not mistaken, hadn't Kyrie also mentioned another sister through that same adoption? But there hadn't even been the slightest hint about a husband, and that was something that Lancaeriel, with all her wisdom, all her experience, and all her knowledge, did not - could not - understand.

Miyuki was a bit more understanding, but she chalked it up to the fact she was young as the reason why she didn't realize that Kyrie was married.
"I figured it was because she was private, she only talks about her family because someone asked her," Miyuki replied with a shrug, "She doesn't really talk with others that much."

"I suppose that's true," Lancaeriel admitted with a smile. "Though to be fair, I don't think we've really been making any effort to speak with her, either. We have the people within our own group that we speak with more, and since she was not always a part of our group, I think she gets forgotten."
Clearly Kyrie didn't mind speaking with people, otherwise those they met in the town would not have so much to say about her, would they? And she had shared the information about her husband readily enough when she was asked ...
"It does make you wonder, though, just what else there is to know about her," she added with a curious glint in her eye.

That did make Miyuki pause for a moment to really think about what Lancaeriel had said. Kyrie was very old, and she had been all around the place.
"There is probably a lot," Miyuki finally replied as she munched on some fruit.
After all, something must have driven Kryie to keep traveling in case people needed her help.
