The orange haired girl had heard the crying as well, her eyes shifting instantly to find the source not too far away. For a moment she hesitated in helping the poor girl up, because well teamwork and all, but in that small moment of uncertainty it seemed the gap of her aid was filled with three others descending upon her. Well, that worked out rather nicely.
Ridley could feel the rushes of adrenaline slowly ebb away, her attention pulled every so often as a few more girls went at the warring creature that still refused to go down. "How long do you think it's going to take to go down?" She asked no one in particular. Part of her wanted to go back out but she knew it was time for her to rest. Especially with her blackened wound, something she saw on both Tamara, Maria and new found friend whom she.. didn't catch the name of.
She turned back to them, "That bunny mentioned wishes, right? Think that has anything to do with anything?" Ridley asked them, "'cause I sure as hell don't remember making one." Or maybe a little, but maybe they had a better recall than she did. Because she was really drawing a blank on one.

As she shifted her grip a second time, using her whole body in concert to bring the scythe back up for a final blow, the handle almost seemed to twist on its own in her hands, the 'fangs' glowed slightly green, and almost looked like they changed angle, as if to bite in more deeply. At the same time, she could feel...something other than physical power rising from deep inside, lending...something else to this last attack. This must be that fear that was spoken about... The thought was fleeting, her attention more focused on the ??? in front of her. "Snake bite!" As far as attack names went, it lacked a certain something...but the attack itself...the blades dug deep, the green glow flaring almost blindingly bright for a moment...before seeming to seep into the ???, dissipating slowly before winking out. That...looks like it probably hurt. This fear...was more impressive, now that she was getting to see what exactly it was, instead of just recognizing a term. "Have fun finding someone to suck on that!" This was more a mutter than an actual remark, but she made it nonetheless, her breath coming slightly more quickly as she pulled her scythe free, taking a step back at the same time. A crystal came free with the blade, tinkling as it rolled across the floor. Bending down, Ashleigh scooped it up, not quite sure what it is...but it may be useful. OOC Name: AshleighAge: 15 Color: Violet Class: Shaman Weapon: Scythe. If one were to look closely at it, it looks like a snake, with two oversized blade-fangs. Personality: Optimistic and driven, Ash is decisive and not one to second-guess herself..she's also one to see things through, even when the going gets difficult. Appearance: Medium height, with an average build. Toned limbs imply an active lifestyle...not that she remembers any of it. Attack 1: 7 Attack 2: 5 Attack 3: 10 Total: 22! Crystal acquired! Nyx Queen of Darkness (Witch, 15, Phaedra, Violet Gem) Round 1: 9 Round 2: 9 Round 3: 7 Total= 25 25 percent damage. Phaedrea let out a scream as the long tendrils of smoke lashed into her body. Her body crashed to the ground in pain, the back of her shirt ripped open. Reaching around to touch the wound, she realize it wasn't bloody as she expected but numbing and tingling and...charred looking. Her hand shakes and her stomach rolls, the contents inside of it suddenly disagreeing. How long ago she had eaten or what was a mystery, but she might find out soon if she didn't calm down. Taking a deep breath, she staggered back to her feet. Already, she felt a little better.

"Orabel D'Auvay." She replied with ease, letting out a small sigh. "Though that's really the only thing I remember. Everything else just... isn't there." Brushing her fingers over her brown and yellow outfit, she made sure there weren't any scrapes on it before eyeing the other two girls. She wanted to help. Macy frowned at Jamie in concern, the crystal in her hand extended towards her for a moment, falteringly, and the pulled back again. "A--are you...are you sure?" She asked, while all the while her knuckles were turning white from gripping the crystal so tightly . "Y--y--you r-really don't look s-so well." With Aria's words, she turned towards the other girl as well, a very small smile curving her lips upwards. "G-glad to see y-you aren't t-too bea---" She stopped struggling her way through the sentence when Aria revealed her gem, so much more cracked then the orange one that Macy herself possessed, with so much more black mist oozing out of it, escaping into the open air. "Th--that looks r--really bad." She gasped. "Y-y-y-you b-both loo--loo--loo.." Again she had trouble articulating what she wanted to get across, and she took the moment to breathe, in and out, slowly, then spoke again, trying to relax, and to concentrate on each word as it was spoken. Yara tried to hide behind her parasol as the tendrils lashed out at her. She managed to avoid most of them, but... one tendril was tenacious and thwacked her right square in her back. Yelping in pain, she rolled out of range and tried to assess the damage. Finding her legs wobbly, she sat down and tried to shake off the feeling of unease. It was then she noticed her Fear Core. Oh no. Oh no. Not good. She looked around in a panic, searching for someone to help her. "Anyone have something to help me..?" Yara wasn't sure just what could restore her health and Fear Core... if there was such a thing. As she sat on the floor trying to will the pain away, Ally also noticed something else. A small black thing, very much like a crystal, was on the ground beside her. Focusing on anything was better than focusing on the pain. Where had that thing come from? From the creature? From her (she'd seen the black whispies, ok)? The hand on her good side reached out and picked the thing up. The thing with the voice was talking to her again. This crystal can replenish her Fear? What did that mean? Her Fear Core? Was that this other thing she had? Ally reached into a pocket and pulled out a small gemlike thing. It was cracked, and seeping blackness, too. That didn't look good. She looked back at the figure that had spoken to her. Following it's instructions...she held the black crystal next to her cracked gem. It was quite suddenly no longer cracked, and Ally felt a million times better. Quote: Name: AllyAge: 14? That awkward feeling of too many people and sounds came creeping back to her. Suddenly there were lots of people all helping the girl who now held onto her for support. Aria twitched, scythe wiggling as her arm trembled. No, no, she was going to be just fine, yes, just fine there was absolutely no reason to worry.
It's too loud...
She focused her attention on the girl she'd helped and forced a kind face (or what she hoped was a kind face), answering her question. "Aria." The shame in the other girl's eyes sparked anger in her for a moment and she frowned.
"That thing is unpredictable. You did really good," she added sort of lamely and awkwardly.

Jamie hesitated a little longer, then reached out, taking the crystal. "I'll repay you," she said, looking Macy straight in the eyes. "I will absolutely make this up to you." She felt guilty, of course, but she'd been the one first offered, so she was going to take it--and she was going to win her wish. She brought the crystal up to her little lantern, watching as the ugly cracks healed, the mist disappearing. She had another chance. She wasn't going to waste it. Nyx Queen of Darkness (Witch, 15, Phaedra, Violet Gem) Round 1: 9 Round 2: 9 Round 3: 7 Total= 25 25 percent damage. Stock: 1 crystal, unused Phaedra almost fell backwards as the creature fell in on itself, a tiny crystal appearing on the ground. The sound of a voice startled her, urged her on. So this crystal was useful, it could replenish her... She flexed the muscles on her back, she didn't seem to sore maybe it was best to keep it for later. Her wish? The thought echoed in her mind. What did she wish? To go home? But what was home and where was it? Was it for someone? Something flickered in her mind like a faded photograph before it was gone. She just couldn't remember. But she couldn't dwell on the matter, looking around she spotted a group nearby. "Hey, what's ...going on?" She asked as she examined her surroundings. chirigami Mind if I hop in? Her back wasn't directly turned toward the creature, but she was distracted, pocketing the crystal that had jarred free from her final attack...when the ??? hit back. Stupid...why would you turn your back on something that's not dead? Why she'd half been expecting it to stand around and take hits without landing any in return, she wasn't sure...but she was still shocked when a tendril hit her flat across the back, the blow sending her crashing to the ground...fortunately knocking her further away from the ???, fortunately allowing her to roll still further, to remove herself from the direct line of battle, for now. Getting to her hands and knees, she turned to try to see just how much damage had been done. The skin on her left side had been hit the worst, and looked as if something had corroded it, a few black wisps still seeping from it. Reaching her hand back to prod it experimentally, she inhaled sharply, expecting pain, but was surprised to note that the wound just felt numb...no, it tingled, as well. She felt slightly nauseous, her legs shaking as if with fatigue--she was glad that she wasn't far from the ground, just in case they gave out entirely. A few moments later, she felt more steady, and slowly got to her feet, pulling her fear core out to take a look at it. Like her wound, it was seeping small bits of black mist...and like her, looked a bit damaged, but not broken. Resisting a pathetic groan, she straightened, a figure popped up next to her, almost prompting a scream... almost. So the crystal would replenish her fear...hmm. She looked at her cracked core, and decided to wait a bit longer...and truthfully, there might be others who would need that more than her. At the follow-up question, she tensed. Her wish...she hadn't even begun to reflect on what it could have been. Without knowing what her past was, how was she supposed to know? She might have wished for peace, or a restoration of the balance...or for something more personal. Brow furrowing, she almost growled in frustration when the memory...remained out of her reach. "Huh, what-" She wanted to give more thought to this 'wish' thing that the small, white creature was talking about. Maybe she could wish for her memories to come back... How could all that she remembered be only her name? Why is it that the girls around her were in the same boat?
If this was some sort of messed up dream, she wanted to wake up.
However, before she could ask about what it meant by 'wish', she found herself in a position where she had to defend herself. It was almost automatic, the way she summoned her swords into her hands... Like she had done it a million times before, and had committed it to memory.
Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes briefly, composing herself before making a strike at the creature in front of her, lightning surrounding the black blade. However, as impressive as it looked, it failed to do a lot as she barely grazed it.ooc Name: A'qilahWeapon: Sword Gem: Red: Brave Age: 15 Subclass: Mage - Lightning magic Damage: 2 + ? + ?

She couldn't give up. She was not about to let them all down, deserting them. The surroundings weren't familiar and what this creature was telling her didn't quite make sense; though, it did. Didn't it? The reaper's first reaction was to wipe down at her garment, instinctively believing that she must have dozed off or been asleep. That was what happened when you felt all woozy and lost, right? "I... I know I can fight! Yes!" Really, Konnie had no idea, but it was like a feeling she had. If a choice was made, somehow she had to stick by it. "Everything- leave it to me! I can do it!" Quote: KonnieAge: 11 Race: Shaman Gem: Orange (Hopeful) Weapon: Orcablade

Without giving herself a chance to recover from her last strike, A'qilah launched herself at the creature again, swinging her sword at the same area she was targeting before; even a small cut can become something devastating if she kept at it... She was sure of it.

After exhausting her fear in the third attack, it was no wonder that Luka would be resting on the sideline. She was watching, assessing those who came to fight the ???. Although she had mildly tilted her head in curiosity at those who fell, those who required aid, she didn't come to aid them. Surely because there were so many other people willing to help? Crossing her legs, she continued to sit away from the attacks. It wouldn't do for her to be an obstacle in their path, but most importantly, it wouldn't do for her to be hurt by such a trifling thing.
Her lips curved into a satisfied smirk. There were many interesting people, fufu~ She couldn't wait to meet them all! Hopefully they wouldn't disappoint her expectations. Among them, there was one girl with blond hair and a pink outfit with an amazing scythe. "I want it." She put a finger to her lips, glancing at the girl with a downwards glance. "Too bad though." Even though she was envious, she didn't think of her weapon as in any way inferior.
