Forward she dove, Walter was a friendly man but usually entirely too busy being proper to give into the more affectionate moments. Which is to say, he reached his right hand up and patted Teira on the back and a bright smile, because in his mind she was still Lady Teira. And while he was fond of her, he must never cease being proper.

I'm very glad you like it.

He was however very glad to see her safe, and happy. And could hope she would understand should the day every come that she became aware of what he had just done.

For the moment, he waited for her to finish her hug before making her a rather smile filled offer.

Would you like to see the garden, Lady Teira?

Indeed. Its quite full of flowers, trees, and other lovely things.

He stood up, dusting off his lap and rump, and extended his hand out to the Lady. He had that Walter-esque aged smile, and very kindly said.

Come on.

She had heard that word before, "come". If all went according to play she should remember that much. And with her in hand, he would make his up the stairs, down the halls and back into the labyrinth of doors and halls that was the Manor.

He would take the more direct route, paste the bedrooms, through the breakfast room, then the lunching room, and finally out of the front double door. Teira might remember these halls, she had traveled this route while Maximos held her soul in hand.

She might remember these stairs, and the rickety wooden door atop them. Walter paused at the door, and placed his arm up over his eyes and said.

Cover your eyes, this might sting a bit.

Teira had a shadow form and outside was a direct, natural light. For most shadows light was most atrocious, it repelled and disgusted them. For advanced beings of shadow such as Teira it was a nuisance at best, once they had survived that first light bath. She had no fear of losing her form, Walter would assure that, but the sharp change as light flooded her dark eyes instead of darkness...it caused some...slight discomfort...or blinding...or screaming agony.

But the arm over the eyes helped, it really helped. And Walter would make sure she had at least that much protection before opening the door.

Oh no no. That simply could not be, a ladies honor must be constantly maintained. She simply could not walk out into the public view with his shame exposed so very much. His hand gently touching her allowed her dress to maintain its form, shrinking to more of a skirt than a toga.

She screamed and Walter winced, it was a rather painful experience, he knew that. But there was no real way to save her the experience save for keeping her cooped up in the manor for the rest of her days.

He sat down in front of her, acting as a partial shield. He did not however shut the door, leaving the light to flood through over her form. She would feel pain, yes, and agony indeed. But it was temporary, like a momentary flash over her form before her body was forced to adjust. The change was clearly noticeable.

Deep inside, without any form of light everything took on a shade of black or gray. With colors appearing far more dull than they truly were. Exposed to the sun as she was, her skin would change from a very light grey, to an almost human pale pink. Her eyes would move from soulless black orbs to almost human black pupils with white surrounding them. It would take a few moments, but even in the dark against the wall, the pain would subside as her body adjusted.

I know its rather painful...

The aged butler said in a most concerned tone. Gently placing his gloved hands on her own.

...but it will pass. Come...there are sights you simply cannot miss.

Its ok...truly...

Walter reassured, as he very cautiously led Teira by her hand. He could see she was afraid, and for that he was gently. But she would likely be greatly surprised to see that the light wasnt as bad now as it was a minute ago.

And outside...outside was quite beautiful. There was a gorgeous breeze and the colors...oh the colors were so very vibrant and alive. They were the sort of colors that simply didnt exist below. Hundreds of varieties of flowers, here and there carefully planted across the garden that was the outside of the windmill.

She might hear the "Whoomp, Whoomp" of the Windmill blades swooshing by above her. They were no where near tall enough to hit her, but provided a lovely gust of air, giving the leaves motion, and the air a wonderful gust.

...This...is a garden.

Walter said, bringing Teira around in front of him.

Walter smiled, and adjusted his apron, and gloves. When did he get an apron? No no, we dont ask those sort of questions around here. Walter simpy did have one, and a set of work gloves. His tools were left in a small basket by the front door, tools he immediately took up, as he made his way to the rose garden.

The roses needed a bit of pruning.

For Tiera however, something a bit dark lurked in waiting. As Tiera reached for the small butterfly, she would see it dash out of her peripheral vision. It was there, and then gone in the next. Was that a set of eyes blinking in the leaves? Or was that rustle just the wind?

As she moved closer to her winged target, it seemed something moved closer to her. Stalking her, until her arms were about to reach for the when...there it was!

A little boy, with messy black hair, a dirty black vest and a white, along with black shorts and a scuffed up pair of black boots, was directly in front of her. D was a master of hide and seek. In his hand was a really large lolipop, one of the jumbo kind you find at the candy store only, and he held it up directly in at Teira.

Want'sum candy!?

He said, in his lisping 7 year old voice.

For D, the world was a playground and everyone was either a potential playmate, or another kid. Teira...was no exception. The way she tilted her head made it completely obvious even to D, that she had no clue what candy was.

And this...this was like telling a devote Catholic you had no clue who God was. You simply dont commit such a travesty. No never. Without a moments notice D's hand was in his pockets and a small gum ball was freed from its wrapper, he jumped and like a basketball player shoved his hand forward and aimed to shove it right into Teira's mouth. It wasnt a violent shove, nothing that would break teeth or bruise skin, or even hurt the lips. But if one was simply breathing and not expecting anything, a grape gum ball would suddenly be placed between her lips!

Twy some!

Well, of course! Wasnt candy the greatest thing in the universe? Of course it was! And there was no telling him different. After her first "Mmmm", of joy he giggled and said.

Dats, stwawbewwy. Its da best!

Teira was so happy, and seemed to enjoy the gumball so very much that he couldnt help but feel good about himself. D smiled from little ear to little ear, revealing a mouth full of razor sharp fangs. D's mouth was akin to that of a sharks, only without layers and layers of fangs. And each of his pearly white fanged teeth were stained pink, as he smiled a stream of deep red dripped down the side of his mouth, immediately lapped up by his quick tongue.

I mean it would be a shame to miss any of that cherry flavor!

And then she started dancing! Well he couldnt miss out on the fun! He tried his best to mimic her dance, though being something of a klutz he slipped, his feet going up while he fell flat on his back. There was a pause, a moment of silence, before he broke out in hysterical laughter. It was a general awesome moment!
