Beck slimmed his eyes before letting the magick go back into his body. The blue glow began to fade as it seeped back into his bloodstream before he turned in rage and walked down the street before saying "Come with me." The wood creeked beneath each step of his armored foot before hitting the last step of the flight of stairs before striding over to the counter where a cup of coffee and plate of food lay. He took a seat and thanked the man before he began to eat. His hand was raised as the man opened his mouth. The King already knew what he was going to say and replied "I don't mind. I was a farm boy before overthrowing Viktor so I much prefer this kind of food." A small loaf of bread was in his hand as he took a bite.

The man blinked after Beck he was relieved when he calmed his magic when he turned and headed down stairs and told him to follow he blinked in confusion and even hesitation. He looked at his room where his bed still lay waiting for him to return since he was still tired and trying to sleep off a hangover but Beck wanting to actually talk and not hit him intrigued him so despite his head still somewhat pounding he slowly descended the stairs and sat a stool bench away from the King. He looked at the barkeep. "Since I see you got it made, coffee for me too please?" he asked. After getting his mug he looked at it "So" he said after taking a sip then glanced at Beck. "What do you want?" he asked the King in a really curious tone of voice.

After swallowing his bite of bread and a sip of coffee, Beck replied "Simple. I want you to come with me to Nibelheim so you can teach me your knowledge of hexes. I've been invited to a stupid tournament right now with reasons being quite...lacking." Beck turned his head to see the man "I have a feeling that these hexes will help me out in the tournament. They will help keep my own country safe." A small sigh left heck as he took a bite of food before saying "The conditions of this tournament is that I have a choice of going to prove I am who I say I am, or risk going to war with Nibelheim." After a moment of silence he added "Now, I am in need of people for the military. My forces in the uprising have dwindled quite a bit and even with the addition of Viktor's former military forces, are still numbered less then 100,000. The reason for this draft is in case the King of Nibelheim decides to go against his word and still start a war, I want to be prepared."

Throughout this whole explanation the man stared bewildered when at last Beck had finished he just blinked, stunned for a moment then finally spoke a little. "You want me...to teach you..." He looked at the king closely. "Based on your magic aura you don't look like you need use hexes and tricks."

Beck chuckled with a response "Yeah I do want you to teach me and normally, you're right. I wouldn't bother learning it since I wouldn't need it but if it means I keep not only my citizens safe, then I'll do anything." With that he finished the plate of food and swallowed the rest of his coffee before turning completely towards the hex-caster. "Before we hit the road, tell me your name."

Beck looked at the man and chuckled. "Yeah, your right. I did give you the option to come with me or not." He then sat back and laid his eyes on the hexer.

The man took another sip of his coffee not saying much else until it was about gone after which he had had enough so he turned to the king and rested his elbow on the counter and his head resting on his hand. "Which makes me want to ask what going with you and teaching you hexes will do for me?"

Beck gave it some thought and responded "Well you'll probably stop a war. You get to teach me something new in a way that you see fit and once I come back, I can assure you that you'll get whatever job you want. Be it a basic financial adviser, even to the point in which you wanted to work with me at the castle for reasons unknown." The King smiled as he placed a few gold coins on the table that paid for both coffees and his meal.

Sighing the man closed his eyes as if to think about this. His head bobbing slightly because he was still tired the coffee had yet to wake up his system. He took a moment then sleepily woke with a small snort and he shook his head and rubbed his face before looking at Beck again as he now contemplated about what he said. He finally got to his feet again. "That...is a very interesting offer your highness. Though I don't know if castle life seems my style no matter what position I might get out of it."

Beck nodded with a small sigh. "So it seems you're not coming then. If you know any good books or tomes about hexes then I wouldn't mind a list being made." he replied as he stood up and stretched a little before walking towards the door.

Sighing a bit the man slowly turned and headed for the stairs. "I'll be right down then." After that he headed up to get his things this was definitely not how he planned his day to go that was for sure.

Beck nodded before walking out of the building and saw his men tending the man that was knocked out. He slowly came too when the King arrived at the small group shortly after. His eyes showed happiness and eagerness at seeing Beck before asking "Your Lordship, did you find out who it was that caused my current condition?" He quickly got up and took a knee before groaning in pain at all the sudden movement he had caused. Beck shook his head and said "Yes, and he'll be coming with us."
