He looked at her and smiled back glad to not have her so upset anymore. "You shouldn't have to watch what you say around because we are partners. Don't be afraid to tell me anything because we're friends after all." Giving her the cake he picked her up on his back no problem at all. She was very light, it felt like there was no added weight on him at all. Walking out of the shop everyone stared from the corner of their eyes. Mumbling to himself Hikaru said "there sure are a lot of nosey peoplee here aren't they". Hikaru left the coffee shop and together with Shizuka walked home. No one was around so he thought he could tease Shizuka a bit more before they made it home.I sure do have a hot girlfriend that is real easy on the eyes. He felt all warm inside as he walked home with her on his back. Thinking to himself he wondered if this was what is was like to have a crush on someone. "I'm surprised you'd volunteer to cook and clean for me, I like to cook myself so why don't we try making food together sometime? In just a day I made a partner and house wife. Say if you were to marry someone how many kids would you want, Shizuka? My wife is going to be kind and beautiful and someone I can just have fun with...both normally and in bed of course."He laughed a bit and continued walking.
She smiled and stretched her arms out for him. As they walked through the streets of Death city, he began to tease her like how she teased him, making her blush and bury her head into his shoulder. She also felt his hands on her a** and when he commented, she blushed even more... Then he told her how boring he was and that no one would want to date him. She blushed deeper and pressed her breasts onto his back,"I-I... I would date you... I d-don't think you're boring..." she said, wrapping her arms around his neck a bit tighter but still gently. She really thought he was a great guy; why do you think she had problems talking to him so much? Because she liked him!! Then he asked her about children and cooking with her sometime. Ryoku walked into the cafe and up to the cashier "hey ill have a coffee black,one of those and one of those"he said pointing to a bear claw and a scone.as his order was put together he looked around and noticed a girl whose face was strangely illuminated sitting by the window,after paying for his coffe and snack he paused for a moment before walking over and sitting across from the girl "i hope this seats not taken." he said to her as he poured four packs of sweetener into his coffee.really,really is that really the best you could doa voice in his head said mockingly.
Shira walked to the cafe and looked up at the menu for a moments before ordering. Once she ordered and received her drink and snack, she walked to the outside seating area and sound a table. Once she was comfortable, she yawned before taking out a book and flipping it open to a marked page, reading quietly and taking a few sips of her iced tea occasionally. It had been really quiet since getting back from her most recent mission, at least here. She knew there was a lot of action going on around the world at the moment and many students were out fighting. She wasn't allowed to go out and help though since her father was still recovering and she was the only shinigami still on her feet for the time being. Charlotte seemed to have everything under control but Shira still felt she needed to do something to help. The best was to do that it seemed was research. Research about the Blackwings, Arenas, the kishin, any threat that may appear again. She managed to find a few things but that wasn't enough. She continued reading a book about ancient times when her grandfather roamed, another thought itching in the back of her head which concerned Atticus, her weapon. Right when she returned home, Charlotte had talked to her about Atticus and his current condition. She sighed and put her book down, rubbing her eyes for a moment or two before taking a bite of the brownie she bought. There was so much stuff that was going to occur soon, she knew that for sure.

After meeting up with Ellise and the others, the blonde-haired Despair, had vanished and could be seen wondering aimlessly through the streets of the Death City. He really didn't draw too much attention to himself, seeing as most of the City's Meisters and Weapons were off fighting powerful beings all around the world. Knowing that with most of the fighters away, Death City's chances of being attacked was really high, so he took it upon himself to look after things. He figured that while he was here, he might as well, help around, while also searching for a way to save Atticus. Just as the thought of Atticus popped into his mind, Despair would sense a familiar presence coming from an area quite a distance away from him. "Oh, this is going to be a treat." Despair stated with a sinister grin spread across his face. Suddenly, Despair's entire body vanished in a bright flash of light; seconds later, he rematerialized right in front of Shira. With this sudden appearance, the few customers and employees that were there, were a bit frightened and some even fled the little area. Hovering on top of the table, Despair looked down at Shira and continued to smile, "Well, well. I was wondering when I would get to see my precious little shinigami. You've grown." Suddenly he gaze shifted to her chest, "You've grown a lot." he added.
Shira blinked in surprise as she felt an old yet familiar presence. She looked up at Despair, staring at him for a moment or two "Despair? How are you in your own body?" she asked, ignoring his comment about how much she grew.

As expected of the shinigami, not so much as a hi or welcome back. Hearing Shira's question, Despair laid back, and hovered, looking up at the clouds, "Hm, I really don't feel like explaining all the details again, so lets just say this: I came from the Alternate world, but I have all the memories and experience of the Despair from this world. You could say that I am and am not Despair." he stated in a very confusing manner. "But that doesn't matter anymore, all you need to know is that I am here and now that I have my own body. I can steal you from Atticus and finally make you mine." Despair told her, but it would be hard to tell if he was being serious or just joking around. Sitting up, Despair hovered closer towards Shira, "So, lets say we continue from where we left off." Moving in, it seemed as though Despair was going to kiss her.
Shira stayed still despite Despair's advances "Despite having differences, Atty and you were close right? I don't think he would be too fond of you trying to hit on me again." she said with a serious expression. "You are free to join me though for a drink and a treat here if you want?" she offered.

The moment, Shira mentioned his and Atticus' close relationship, Despair stopped his advances and stared intently at her. Letting out a little sigh, Despair pulled back, "Even now, you still don't see me in the same light as him, do you?" he asked as he sat down at the table, obviously a little upset. It was no secret that Despair had fallen in love with Shira, he was the first to fall for her and then Atticus, but it seems that despite everything, he was the one that would not end up with her. "No matter how powerful I become, I am just no match for that guy." Despair added, before smiling, "You know you're hurting me here."
"U-Uh... I'm sorry... but I am in a relationship with him right now and I can't cheat. That wouldn't be right..." Shira said with a nervous expression "To be honest, I liked you a lot too but there was a lot of things to take into scenario like both of you were in the same body and stuff..." she muttered, trailing off. The whole thing with her, Atticus, and Despair was very complicated for her. She glanced to the side with a sigh before taking a sip of her drink.

As Shira spoke, Despair would let out a small laugh and then wave his hand, "Well, it is too late for any of that. It's all in the past now. Truthfully, it would have never worked out, since I inevitably died." he stated before smiling. "Besides, I think that I have already found someone else. All that is left is for her to realize her own feelings. I believe you know her as Ellise." Despair told her. Despair then sighed, "So, what has my little shinigami been up to in my absence?"
Shira blinked as he said something about liking Ellise "Oh... Congrats then." she said with a small laugh. She looked down at her book "Well uh... quite a lot has happened. Right now I am researching some of the new enemies we have to deal with." she said as she sipped her drink some more.
