In the distance a small figure appeared, growing closer and closer. It quickly became apparent that it was Killzone, riding something that looked a bit like a bicycle but with skis on the bottom. The custom paint job featured dolphins soaring magisterially over the snow-covered rainbows and resembled a Lisa Frank acid trip. "Okay mother ********, I see you brought some of the sleds back so this is gonna be a whole lot easier.Just hook one of those up to the bike, and Killzone will tow the pathetic ******** who can't move themselves back to camp. Everyone else, just follow the mother ******** leader. It's only about a half hour away, so I think if you really reach down and seek out the astral traveler within your core, you will easily be able to zen right through this s**t. Got it?" Eventually, after a certain amount of motivation on Killzone's part, and a lot of can we just go already on the trainees' part, they were on their way back to camp.

It felt like he'd never be able to stop running. In fact, loud crashing and cracking behind him told him that he'd have to run a hell of a lot faster. He strained his threshold for speed and gasped for air, but he still felt ice crumbling under his feet. As he made a leap for the next piece of ice there was a momentary panic as he saw himself coming up short. A stretch of his arms was all it took to save himself from the plummet to icey cold death, and he struggled to pull himself up.
Oh god. Oh god. Please just live.

Cass had no ******** complaints about following Killzone's acid trip bike.
No seriously, the fact she couldn't dream up something so bizarre was confirmation it was something real and that it was a good idea to just let him lead the way back to base.

Meanwhile, Feng was still battling the spreading ice. He should do hurdles or something in his spare time, because he was getting a lot of practice here. He was also spraying ice everywhere as he had trouble sticking his landings. Instead he would go skidding and flailing until the laws of motion stopped him.

And then Feng ran and jumped some more. It was a shame he was all alone and no one could see how awesome he was being. Really.

Jerry must have been hallucinating. He had to have been hallucinating. Killzone wasn't here. Why would he be here, he had never seen the man out on the field, and his Suessesque bike only cinched it. He was dying of hypothermia and hallucinating, that was the only explanation. Numbly, he toppled out of the sled to half crawl, half drag himself, but somewhat hobble towards Jordan and Sasha, mouth twitching into a smile, "C-c-come on, it's... it's t-time to go."

His hands were getting a bit torn up from catching himself on ice cliffs too. But he felt like a secret agent or super soldier or something else equally cool. If only there were explosions!
He wiggled and struggled to pull himself onto the ice, huffing and puffing as he went. His lungs were going to give out, man. But he got up somehow and kept running.

Sasha had lifted her head just enough to watch Jordan approach; soon after, her attention was diverted to the rather large black man on the ski-cycle. Sasha's face softened when she took in the sight of dolphins and rainbows.
"It's so pretty," she said airily, slowly drawing up to her feet. Sasha swayed slightly, giving a softly breathless giggle as she leaned against Jordan.
"O~kay~ Jordan," Sasha singsonged, abruptly laughing at Jerry's hobbling towards them. "Come on, Jerry. We're going to the sled~!" With a sudden frown she peered down at the foreign jacket that rested across her shoulders. When had that gotten there?

Feng bounced along like a deranged monkey, unaware he was so close and yet so far from the rest of the hunters.

With a weak thankful smile to Jordan, Jerry offered to help pull her up to her feet, ready to lean on her or let her lean on him, whoever needed it most. "So... he's r-really here?" He wasn't just imagining it. That was... somewhat assuring. Kind of. "G-good. Good. Um. Let's... let's go g-get you w-warm, alright?"

"He's really here," Jordan confirmed, and herded Jerry and Sasha back towards the sled. "Let's go, nobody's freezing on me."
He hung back briefly, looking out towards where he could still see someone scrambling their way towards safety.

Feng and slipped and slid right into another cliff, flailing his legs. It was getting harder and harder to climb out. Was he even close to getting out? With the wheeze of an eighty year old man he flopped like a fish out of water onto the ice.

Candace was quiet again, content that Jerry was okay. Jerry had to stay okay. She couldn't lose him too. Not him. It hurt enough to lose H. Please still let him still be alive please please please I'll be good I promise I'll do all the good things just bring him back please we need him please please please. She was thinking desperately, not exactly one for prayer and religion but she was brought up in that kind of town, she knew how to pray when she needed to. She just didn't do it often. She buried her face against Harrison to hide it, muttering quietly to herself though her words were hard to understand. She wanted to go back to the camp now. She wanted to be away from this spot, away from this place. She hated Antarctica now.
Suddenly there was another very, very warm body against her and her body began to ease its trembling. It hadn't been entirely because of the cold, a lot of it from stress and her struggling not to sob any worse than she already had in front of everyone. She needed to calm down. The warm body helped. But whose body was it? Candace lifted her face away from Harrison and nearly brushed against Robert he was so goddamn close. Her eyes widened, just staring up at Robert in shock. Robert..was...warming her? Why was he doing this? Him of all people? Didn't he hate her? He was always calling her a whore and a b***h, and he was right but...doesn't he hate her? Why was he holding her? "Th-thank you, Robert." She said quietly, her voice hoarse. Candace leaned over to rest her head against Robert, tucking herself underneath his chin. "Thank you." She said again.
Candace didn't even notice Killzone's arrival until she heard his voice.
Oh, you had to be ******** kidding. He was their rescue party? Damnit. She wanted Clarice, she wanted H. H should be their rescue party. Yes, he'd be perfect for it. She didn't move other than looking past Robert with a frown. Oh well, it was better than nothing. She was glad she didn't have to get off the sled though, very glad. She'd just...sleep during this trip. Yes.

Feng was getting sick of this whale. He narrowly avoided a n** to the a** as he slipped on the ice, and again went flying. He felt like a play thing.

Rep lazily trudged along behind the sleds, ******** freezing now, nowhere near as utterly exhausted as he had been in the sahara but still weary from all the fighting, the chill starting to feel as if it burrowed all the way down to his bones. He found himself thinking longingly of the rest tent, and then even more longingly of an actual bed, in a heated room, with hot chocolate and a pile of cakes as tall as a man. His mental fantasy got more and more vivid as he wandered along.
It kept him warm.
