The boy had completely forgotten about the angry little jelly blob due to his preoccupation with the Sinnoh Drop Bears. He did notice when it started growling at him and he let out a little laugh. "It does seem pretty feisty," Kilik stated, but he heard something akin to a crack above them and he immediately glanced up, pausing in place. When he noticed it was just a Zubat flying away from its place on one of the stalactites, he let out a sigh of relief. So far so good.
Cable followed closely behind the two trainers, glancing up at the ceiling every now and then as well, though not nearly as intently as his trainer. He was certain that regardless of what came their way, they could handle the situation easily. Especially with all of Kilik's Pokemon in tow, and with how impressive Katie's all seemed to be, there was really nothing to even remotely be afraid of.
As the two reached the end of the cave and Kilik was about to celebrate not having come across one of those vicious things, Katie dropped the bomb. There was no such thing as Sinnoh Drop Bears. The boy paused and glanced at her, then back up to the ceiling of the cave. "Ooooh, so there's..." he put his hand on the back of his head and scratched a little, "nothing up there besides Zubats. That's a relief!" he laughed, with a hint of a sigh. "Just a joke, huh? That was a good one!" Kilik put his hands on his hips, "Really, I don't know how I could have fallen for that one, but still!" He glanced down at her and smiled a little. "But...I don't think I could actually hate you, Katie. Even after scaring me a little like that." His face turned a rather unflattering shade of pink, partly from embarrassment.
-*-
"AWWWWWWWW YEAH!" Mazarin called out, running into the cave passed a few of the Rocket Grunts. With Banette flying alongside him one way, and Shuckle making a very handy mace-like object, Grunts were falling at his feet left and right. Maz hopped over a ledge and landed in a pool of shallow water, dropping Shuckle with a loud THUD and SPLASH next to him to stretch a little bit. "Maaaaan this is almost too easy! Team Rocket blows!" Mazarin cleared his throat and recalled the Bug Pokemon and sent out his Shiftry, which stood behind him, looking particularly intimidating.
"Sooo, let's seeeee..." he took out a small mechanical device, almost like a cell phone and tapped in a few numbers on the screen. Around him, Shiftry and Banette took turns thumping Rocket Grunts that tried to come in close around their trainer. It was almost too easy for them. "My intel tells me that this place is where Kyogre went to sleep. That would explain the water, and if Kyogre is sleeping at the bottom of this hole then I've gotta make sure Team Rocket doesn't get to him! But...what if he's not...Why else would they be here?" He looked up from his little device and noticed the devastation around him. A few of the Grunts didn't even look like they were going to get up ever again. Perhaps he went a little overboard.

Now Kasiya was still feeling pretty pleased with herself as she headed back inside the center, though she wished that she'd had a camera ready so that she could have captured the look on Crenu's face when she told him the Muk's name. Even still, she'd definitely never forget it and she was grinning like an idiot as she reentered the Pokemon Center. Of course, she wasn't really paying all that much attention either so she was easily as at fault for the collision as Karrigan was, though that didn't make it hurt any less as both she and the redhead hit the ground. "Ouch! Oh, I'm sorry," she yelped, quickly jumping to her feet as she recalled Karrigan's injured hand. "Are you okay? I'm so, so sorry," she said, glaring sharply over at Riza as the raven-haired girl's comment about being a klutz hadn't gone unheard. "I wasn't watching where I was going," she added, holding out a hand to help Karrigan to her feet.
=-=-=-=-= Jake narrowed his eyes at the two opposing trainers as the boy sent out his first Pokemon, a Misdreavus. He glanced over at Jade, pleased to see that she was rising to the challenge, and he eyed the Shinx, hoping Cirrus would behave himself, for Jade's sake. He wished he'd had more of a chance to train with Sigilyph as it would have rather fitting to defeat the snobbish girl with the Pokemon she'd called ugly, but sadly, that was not the case. The curly-haired boy had given his Ghost-type a command and soon a strange wave of psychic energy was sent toward Magnemite. Jake gave a small chuckle, feeling an odd sense of familiarity as the battle began. "Magnemite, use Supersonic," he called. Magnemite drifted forward, its focus now on the Screech Pokemon. The screws in its body began to spin, generating a piercing wave of confusing sound waves that he directed at the Misdreavus. Meanwhile, the Psywave struck dead-on but Magnemite stayed strong, not outwardly showing that the attack had damaged him.
"Tch, you think you can beat us that easily?" the ginger-haired girl laughed, waving a hand at the Shinx. "Glameow, put a stop to that with your Fake Out." The Catty Pokemon gave a sharp yowl and she darted forward, seemingly undeterred by the electrified Shinx as she closed in. Once she was close enough, her claws flashed out at the blue kitten. Since Fake Out only worked at the very start of battle, it was wise to use it now.
=-=-=-=-= The crash had sent a jolt of pain through her body, but Karrigan had managed to protect her already-injured hand from further harm, and she looked over at the blonde girl, managing a sheepish grin. "Oh, no, it's my fault," she said quickly, accepting Kasiya's hand and getting to her feet. "I should have been watching where I was going, too." It was a good thing that she hadn't heard Riza's comment, however, otherwise it probably would have caused her to turn tail and leave the center all together, as she didn't deal with conflict very well. This is where being assertive gets me, she thought, still a bit embarrassed from the collision. Running into people when all I want to do is talk to them.
"Actually, there was something I wanted to talk to you about," she said. "Could we go over there for a moment?" She gestured to a quiet area of the center, which wasn't that far away from the trade machines Kasiya and Crenu had used only moments ago, and she started to walk, giving only a quick glance to Amy as they passed by. This trade thing... it's very interesting...

Amy's quick defense of Karrigan sent a jolt of guilt through Riza, and she looked away, allowing her gaze to settle on her Snivy nearby. Selena hadn't moved much from her position on the floor, though the collision between the blonde and the redheaded girls had made her jump a little. Riza also hadn't missed the glare that Kasiya had shot her way and she simply smiled back in return. It was almost kind of fun butting heads with the blonde girl, especially since Riza had decided to make Kasiya her rival. "Perhaps," she said finally, though she didn't apologize for her comment. It wasn't as though she disliked the redhead after all, she was more or less just making an observation.
"I'm not sure," Riza answered, giving a light shrug. She removed an empty poke ball from her bag and enlarged it, turning it over in her hands. The others had all put their newly acquired Pokemon into one already, after all. "I wouldn't rule out the possibility of trading altogether, but I definitely wouldn't part with some of my Pokemon." She thought of Akima and Yula, and how she knew that she never would have gotten as far in that contest as she did thanks to them. And then there was Diemia, even though she wasn't really the contest type, it was nice to have her strength for regular battling. Of course there was Eris, and considering the Quilava had been given to her as a special gift, she couldn't part with her. Plua perhaps, as the cranky Fearow still hadn't settled into the team yet, and she couldn't get rid of Faustus. Having a dragon-type on her team definitely made her feel like a trainer from Blackthorn, famed for their dragon users. "I'm not sure I'd trade one away just because I was displeased with them, though," she added quickly, bending down and holding out the sphere for Selena.
Having witnessed the other Pokemon going into these balls, Selena nodded and touched her nose to it, and she was pulled inside without much effort and the ball chimed shut. "That's seven Pokemon," Riza murmured, now standing up again. "I guess I need to figure out what to do with my party." The thought of having to put one of her Pokemon away made her feel a little bad, but she knew it wouldn't be forever. "Let's go," she said, taking Amy by the arm and pulling her towards the PCs. After all, they were located near the trade machine so perhaps they could accidentally eavesdrop on the other girls' conversation. * * * * * Drop Bears or not, Katie couldn't help but feel a bit more secure with Kilik traveling along with her, and she sighed with relief as he took the news of the joke rather well, in fact looking more relieved than anything else and she smiled, glad he wasn't upset with her. "Oh, good. Again, I'm sorry, but I just couldn't resist. But if there was something like that, I wouldn't worry, You'd handle it just fine," she said, also blushing a little as she spoke. But then, the light from the opposite end of the cave was very close and very bright, and the next thing the two trainers knew, they'd stepped into daylight once again and into the coal mining town of Oreburgh. It wasn't nearly as big as Jubilife had been, but it was larger than Floaroma and Sandgem. It was still pretty gritty though and Katie grimaced, not looking forward to all the grime that would certainly settle into her lengthy hair.
"Well, here we are," she said, still looking around. "The gym is that way," she pointed. "And the pokecenter is just down this street. I need to figure out which of my Pokemon to switch out to make room for this little...thing," she said, giving the still snoozing psychic-type a bit of a squeeze, but she didn't stir. "My guess is that'd be the best place for us to go first." She wasn't sure she wanted to stick around long enough for Kilik's gym match with Roark, as she still had to get on with the mission that had been given to her by Mai. Of course, she wasn't about to tell him that.

The spiky Yanmega started to glow at Robin's command as he opened up that inner part of his mind that TM had awakened. Focusing his mind he watched as the Ponyta was lifted up into the air. The fire horse pokemon cried out and it peddled it's hooves uselessly in the air. Raz's control wobbled a bit as it tried to keep a hold of this slippery customer. It seemed like in a battle where you weren't practicing holding onto a pokemon was a lot tougher! Just as he was about to start slamming the fire horse around though they came to an end on the bike path.
"Well, that was a fun battle." The biker Robin had been battling the whole way down said as they skidded to a halt.
Skidding to a halt next to her Robin gave her a confused look. "What? We aren't going to finish?"
"Finish the battle? Oh no, battles on the bike path only last as long as we can keep riding. This one did go pretty fast though. Probably because both of our pokemon are so fast." The lady looked like she was considering something. "Sorry I didn't tell you at the beginning, I must have taken for granted that you already knew."
"Oh." Robin paused and looked over at the still floating Ponyta and Raz who was giving her confused looks. "You can put it down then Raz. Battle's over." Robin turned back to the biker as Raz set her pokemon down. "That was so much fun." Robin grinned at the lady though she was a bit sad that she didn't get to finish.
"It sure is a rush. Come back anytime!" The biker recalled her now let down Ponyta and road off back up the road.
"You have fun?" Ampersand said as he pulled up giving Robin an amused look.
Brightening up Robin grinned at him before recalling Raz with a thank you to the Yanmega. "I sure did! That went way faster then I thought it would though."
Ampersand just laughed at her. "The bike path either seems to never end or is way to short." The two of them headed into the building and checked their bikes in. Robin scooped up the now sleeping Larvesta and grinned as Luffy scampered up her to rest on her shoulder.

Kenny appeared first and when he spotted the little monster appearing next to him he gave Dante a dark look before taking a few steps back. The angry little Deino though sniffed a few times before growling slightly snapping a few times at Dante as she circled her food dish. Dante and Kenny hurriedly backed away some more, Dante having no desire to be bitten again and Kenny didn't want anymore nasty blue fire blown at him. This thing was barely an hour old and it was already running their lives. Still Dante couldn't help but think that if she was making them this afraid of things then what was she capable of doing in a battle?
The two of them watched as, now that her food wasn't being threatened and they weren't close enough to bite the dragon settled down to eating what she had been given. Her sharp teeth picked up the large chunks of meat and other things that had been in the dragon pokemon food diet. She didn't stop either when the bowl was done. Instead she settled herself down and started using it as a chew toy. The hard plastic cracked and groaned as she grabbed it and pretty much made it so Dante wasn't going to be returning it in any good shape.
"I think I will call you Kali." Dante stated as he watched her. Kenny just gave him a look that clearly read. 'Don't give it a name! That would imply you are keeping it!'

"Alright Elgyem. You're a psychic type. And you have flashing fingers. But other than that, I've got no information on you. As much as I don't want to rely on things like Pokedex's, I may have to get one. I still don't know much about Froslass either, and there are far too many pokemon out there for me to be able to make strategies properly on the spot without knowing at least a little about them. But for now, we've got to work on anything we can. So what can you do?" Crenu eyed the odd little grey pokemon, who stared back at him inquisitively. Elgyem made an odd sound and suddenly Crenu felt an uneasy presence in his head. Similar to the one he felt before the egg appeared before him, but not nearly as strong. This time it was different though, because accompanied by the feeling was set of words. It was blurry and hard to make out, in fact Crenu wasn't even sure that it was words at all, but once the pressure stopped there was definitely new information in his head in regards to the newly hatched pokemon. "...hmm, was that...uhg. Alright, for a young pokemon that's impressive, your mental powers are commendable. Alright then, if I got that right, then show me your Confusion." Elgyem seemed delighted that Crenu understood her message, and closed her eyes. Before long a group of tiny rocks that were sitting on the floor began to levitate, covered in a strange aura matching the one that surrounded her head. Holding them up seemed to cause her strain, and before long the aura petered out and the rocks fell. "Ok ok, good. Let me see, the other one was...Nasty Plot. Hmm, that's a pretty high level move you have there. Pokemon don't normally learn that for a while, or unless they are given a TM. That's quite lucky. Show me your Nasty Plot then, if you've still got it in you." Elgyem nodded happily, and closed her eyes once more as the lines on her head glowed white. In her mind she started to plot and plan, and got several nasty ideas. Crenu thought he got a taste of it as a rather violent image entered his head for just a flash before it faded, as if her mental power leaked out which was understandable considering how inexperienced she was and how powerful the move could be. Her eyes remained shut tight once she was done, but the result was clear as the lines blinked brightly. "Good, good, Confusion again." Elgyem seemed to be having some real trouble containing the gathered power, but still the aura surrounded the rocks and they levitated. She held them in place for a moment moving them around, but she lost her focus from the power surge. The rocks got crushed and turned to pebbles, and the feedback knocked Elyem flat on her back. She started to make whimpering sounds, fingers flashing erratically. Crenu sighed, taking another drag from his cigarette. He walked up to her and picked her up, turning his head to blow the smoke away from her. Elgyem continued to whimper quietly, but her fingers stopped flashing and she seemed to be calming down, comforted by being held. "...well, not bad for a baby." This was a rather unatural scene, and not something Crenu would be pictured doing, rocking a little pokemon in his arms as it calmed down. But he couldn't help it, unlike his other pokemon, this one just hatched and a gentler touch was required.

"Hmm, yes. The last thing we want is her blades breaking. Isn't that right Nyx?" Jason cradled her in one arm and tickled her, carefully, in between her bladed ribs. The little black and red pokemon giggled happily, no longer feeling so sad as he set her down. She was content to now wander around aimlessly, exploring the rocky surface of the gym. "Watching her grow to her full potential is my goal of course, as it is for all the pokemon I raise. As a researcher it's important to take notes on the development of a pokemon, especially one I've never seen before." He eyed the phone curiously, never having seen such a phone in his life. "You're dad's a steel expert? That's cool, I'd love to get his input if that's ok with you." Jason, being a steel type fan himself, was looking forward to getting any help he could. "Hmm, and after we could totally have a gym battle, it'll be exciting and my pokemon need the work out! This is a really fun day." The boy in the hat was beaming, so far this day had gone from good to better to best, he hoped it would only go up and up and up. Nyx, in the mean time, was wandering around, and hat taken a seat by a rather sturdy looking jagged rock. It appeared as though she was sharpening her hands on it, running the blades against the a flat side again and again.

And just like that, the egg he had been holding was an egg no more. It shed the remainder of its shell and Jasper found himself nose-to-nose with an small, adorable, fox-like Pokemon. Its ears twitched and her tail began to wag, and she gave a cute little bark. Jasper's bewildered expression shifted to one of adoration and he sighed. "Well, you're definitely better than breakfast," he said, and the fox yipped once more and leaned forward, licking the end of his nose with a tiny pink tongue. The boy laughed, and shifted her in his arms. "Okay, you're cute, but what are you? Some kind of evil Vulpix or something?" he asked, looking around the shower area almost expectantly. The fox just continued to stare at him wit wide, blue eyes and he grinned again, deciding that his PokeDex would likely have answers as to the identity of this new Pokemon.
"Let's get out of here," he told the little fox, who barked in agreement. He set her on the ground and quickly toweled himself off before he slipped the robe back on. The dark-coloured Pokemon followed him as he traced his steps back to the dryer, pleased to see that the cycle had finished and his once wet clothes were now warm and dry. He removed them and hurried down the hall to his room, the happy little fox bouncing along behind him the whole way. Once he'd closed the door behind him, he quickly noticed that his other Pokemon were now awake, and seemingly getting along with one another as they hadn't yet utterly destroyed the room.
"Guys, we've got a new addition," he said, gesturing to the fox that stood eagerly at his side, tail wagging with excitement, and she barked a happy hello. Ditto waved an amorphous limb while Totodile gave a toothy grin, and after a bit of hesitation even Paras raised a cautious claw in greeting. "Good, good, now that we're all acquainted, I'm going to get dressed," he said, turning his back on the group of Pokemon and spread out his clean clothes on the bed. He quickly dressed himself, already trying to guess what kind of Pokemon the little fox might be as he tried to recall where he'd stowed his PokeDex.

In retrospect, it was probably a bad idea for Jasper to turn his back on the Pokemon, for as soon as he did, Ditto transformed into a perfect copy of the fox, and the two exchanged grins. Delighted by this, the fox hopped up and down a few times before she jumped up and flipped over backwards, and in the blink of an eye, she'd transformed into an exact replica of Totodile. Ditto's jaw dropped to the floor, as the terrific transformer had never met another shape-shifting Pokemon before. It got over it pretty quickly, however, moving from shocked to thrilled before it too morphed into Totodile. The two gator-fakes waved at the real Totodile, who at first, looked rather stunned, but soon she'd ran over to them and the three lined up, all grinning identical, toothy grins and moving in unison.
Naturally, when Jasper turned around again, PokeDex at the ready, the last thing he'd expected was to see three water crocodiles staring at him, and he did a bit of a double take, his own mouth gaping open in surprise. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Paras cowering under a pillow, eyes comically wide with fright and wearing an expression that clearly screamed oh god, make it stop! Jasper made a face of his own and studied the three identical Pokemon. At the very least, he knew one of them was Ditto, and that the other was obviously Totodile, but the other... could it possibly be the little fox? He looked again, realizing that Ditto had even copied Totodile's colouring this time. "Okay, you guys, I give," he said finally, throwing his hands into the air. "I have no idea how you all did that."
The Totodile on the far left let out a devilish little giggle and jumped forward, vaulting into a forward somersault and shifting back to her normal form as she landed in a surprised Jasper's arms. "...Oh, so you can transform too, huh?" he asked, paling a little as he wasn't sure he could deal with two of them. The fox yipped and scrambled up onto Jasper's shoulder as he worked the PokeDex, finally managing to aim it at the new Pokemon. "So you're a Zorua," he said, reaching up and scratching her behind an ear. He read over her entry several times, just to make sure he understood everything, and even as he tucked his PokeDex into his jacket pocket he found he had trouble believing this Pokemon's abilities. "Show me again, please?" he asked, and Zorua gave a bark of agreement, trotting down his arm before using it as a springboard and flipping into the air.

When Zorua landed on the ground again, Jasper was met with the most bizarre sight he'd ever seen, which was saying something considering the company he kept. The dark type had miraculously changed into an exact copy of him, with the only oddity being that his eyes were a curious shade of blue instead of green. Now Jasper had always been very impressed with Ditto and its ability to change into virtually anything, but never before had Ditto been able to transform into a copy of a person. Even Ditto looked floored, having changed back to his normal form, and though Jasper thought the Transform Pokemon would have cause to be jealous, it seemed more awed and happy than anything else. Totodile didn't seem to quite grasp the full extent of Zorua's ability but she was thrilled nonetheless, clapping her hands and hopping up and down.
The only one in the room not pleased with the situation was Paras, and the real Jasper carefully leaned down and picked him up from out of his hiding place. "Hey, it's okay, we're all friends here. No one's going to hurt you," he told the mushroom, though it did little to stop him from shaking. 'So much for all that progress we made yesterday,' Jasper thought, looking to the other Pokemon. Zorua gave a whimper and changed back to normal, and for a moment, the room was quiet. "Well," Jasper said finally, looking around. "Let's clean this up, and go see about breakfast. I bet the others are awake or will be waking up soon."
It took the five of them about ten minutes to tidy everything up and gather Jasper's things, and once that was done, Jasper picked up Paras, and then looked to the other three, wearing a sly grin that was quickly transferred to the other three Pokemon. "That thing you all did before? I say you do it again. Jett and Scarlet'll get a real kick out of it, I bet." Zorua, Ditto and Totodile all exchanged sneaky glances of their own before the two shape-shifting Pokemon assumed Totodile Forme. After a few minutes of coaching, Ditto and Zorua were acting just like Totodile, and the three quickly mastered moving in unison and taking turns being the leader. At one point, Jasper even forgot which of them was the real gator, and that was when he knew they were ready. Feeling mightily impressed with the situation, Jasper led the trio of Totodiles out of the room and they all marched off down the hall towards the lobby, keeping their eyes open for signs of the dark and redheaded boys.

She hadn't missed Kasiya's own reaction to Riza's comments, glancing between the blonde and the dark-haired girl with growing interest. They seemed awfully competitive with each other, considering their heated battle outside the Vermilion Gym. Was Kasiya a coordinator too? If she was, then Amy really would have to step up her game and get all of her Pokemon stronger. Her focus returned to Riza, however, when she answered her question about trading.
"Oh, of course not," Amy agreed with her final statement, smiling a little at Selena as she received her very own Pokeball. It wasn't her place to judge Crenu; she was sure he had his own good reasons for wanting to trade Ariados away, and she hadn't known how long the two had been together, anyways. "I don't think I'd part with some of my Pokemon, either," she sighed lightly, thinking of the team she had collected so far. Once Lee evolved, he would become a huge asset, and Flora and Marshall were doing really well so far too. She didn't know about her Meowth or her Sandile as of yet, but they deserved just as much of a chance as her other Pokemon. The bespectacled girl blinked when Riza pulled her by the arm, but she followed quickly enough, managing a quick, "Okay!" as they headed towards the PCs. She glanced again towards Karrigan and Kasiya as they neared the trading machine. Amy turned her head back towards Riza, though still wanting to hear the other girls' conversation. If they really were going to trade, would Karrigan trade away that little Shinx of hers? Or would it be Amber? And what kind of Pokemon would she get from Kasiya?
=-=-=-=-=-=-=
That ginger-haired girl was really starting to get on her nerves. She had always been annoyed with overconfident challengers whenever she was allowed to battle, and every once and a while some jerk had the gall to comment on how awful it must be, to only battle with an Eevee at hand. But instead of getting visibly angry, the raven-haired girl simply smirked, folding her arms across her chest as Glameow's attack startled Cirrus and made him flinch. "Cirrus," she called loudly, just as he looked ready to pounce without her direct order, "use Charge." The Shinx tossed her in incredulous look, but he did it anyways, claws digging into the ground as electricity charged around him.
The boy, on the other hand, wasn't as cool and collected as his opponent, nor was he as smug as his partner. He groaned a little when Magnemite's Supersonic hit and his Misdreavus began to sway around, blinking furiously as if to get a clear sight on things. "Let's return the favor with a Confuse Ray!" he called, but the Ghost-type merely squeezed its eyes shut and then the energy gathered for the attack seemed to rebound before it was even released. The Screech Pokemon recoiled, having hurt itself in confusion, and tried again to focus on Magnemite. It was pretty sure that there was just one of the Electric/Steel-type floating around, and not four.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=
The couches of the Pokecenter lobby proved to be surprisingly comfortable, and when he had rested his head on the back of one, Jett had unwittingly fallen back into a light doze, lulled by the lack of commotion and the rhythmic sound of the washing machine in the distance. Unbeknownst to him, the washing machine had stopped a long while ago and its previous operator was walking into the room with a trick in mind. The sound of footsteps roused the boy and he cracked an eye open to see what this new disturbance was. Once he discovered that it was Jasper, he squeezed his eyes shut and stretched a little, rising to a stand and looking at the older boy with a smile.
"Morning," he yawned, rubbing the back of his head slightly. He then remembered the occurances of last night, what with him and Scarlet spontaneously receiving Pokemon eggs that hatched strange Pokemon neither had ever seen before. "Man, the coolest thing happened last night..." But the dark-haired boy trailed off as he surveyed the team Jasper had at his heels. He stopped altogether and then counted the little gators. One... two... three? Jett blinked furiously, but the Totodile trio did not disappear. "You have uh, a hitch-hiker there. I think. Can Ditto really just multiply like that?" It had to be Ditto, right? He couldn't think of any other Pokemon that could do that, and he wasn't sure that a Totodile using Double Team would look quite so... real. Something was definitely amiss here.

Scarlet’s sleep was empty and blank, nothing but a relaxing and refreshing black washing over him. And it was honestly what he needed – the calm before the storm. There he lay in bed all night, and probably where he would’ve stayed if not for the tiny paws violently beating against his face.
“Mmrghlgrh,” he protested, but the paws kept their slapping and their owner continued her barking until the redhead’s eyes opened, and the darkness gave birth to a world of color. Well, not so much a world as a mass of beige and black and orange and red and yellow. Cindy stood on his chest, excitedly barking her adorably noisy little head off. He groaned, lifting the stupidly joyful Quilava off his chest and placing her on the ground. Like a zombie, Scarlet rolled out of his bed, crashing into the ground. After a moment of pulling himself up, he meandered toward his bag and pulled out fresh set of clothes. “Mrgh,” Scarlet ordered as he pointed to his bag.
Cindy saluted Scarlet and stood guard in the room while he marched off to the showers. It didn’t take him long at all to find an empty shower stall and stood under the almost scalding streams of water for what felt like an eternity. An extremely chill eternity where he could’ve fallen asleep while standing. Unfortunately (at least to him) something kept him awake. Soon, the steaming water turned from boiling, to kind of hot, to lukewarm, and his interest in the rhythmic pattering of the water on his skull died down. He shut down the water, dried himself off, slipped on some fresh clothes, and headed back to his room.
Cindy barked a greeting upon his return, earning a tired wave from her trainer as he put on his bag and slung his jacket over his shoulder. “C’mon, we’re doing uh stuff today I think.” Something about a bug gym and fire. He’d sort it all out over a bowl of coffee or a piping hot cup of cheerios. He marched out to the lobby, and found the man in green and his dark haired buddy. Scarlet rose a hand into the air in greeting. “Heard you beat up um… Those rocket dudes yesterday. Totally awesome. … Is that another totodile? Where’re you like finding those?”
They were even acting like each other. It was so weird. Maybe he got a super special awesome totodile from that egg fairy? Maybe it was another ditto…

Alex listened as Hayley explained how her team had fully started forming, and it was surprising how… well… organic everything seemed to come together for her, and, aside from Cynder, who was only a little grumpy, her pokemon were pretty much best friends. Maybe Roll and Forte just got off to a bad start… Maybe they’ll end up being friends too. It felt like a big maybe, but Alex thought that the Larvitar might just get better if she stopped spoiling her. “Thanks,” she sighed, looking up at Kressen with a slight frown. What do I do if they end up hating each other? She didn’t consider that thought for too long though. It took a back seat to the mixture of joy and relief that came with the knowledge that she’d be travelling through the forest with her new friends. It’d be a lot less scary, and probably a lot more fun.
Alex grinned (though she was unable to match the sheer radiance that Hayley’s smile exuded), watching as the energetic brunette dashed ahead into the forest. She planned to linger only long enough to grab her larvitar’s hand, but then she noticed Kressen’s face turn a rather peculiar shade of red. “Hey, is something wrong? You’re all… tomato-like- Hey, wait up!”
Her line of questioning would probably have to wait. She grabbed Roll’s hand and darted off after Kressen. Blues stood in his place and watched for a moment before deciding that running was not something a psychic of his caliber should have to do. So he waited there for a while before popping beside Alex with his teleport every now and again.

[Time Skip]
The boy took a deep breath and coughed a little. The air was ripe with the scent of coal and dirt. Granted, it was a smell he knew all too well as it hovered around his father like a pesky Gengar. "The Pokemon Center it is!" he stretched. He did need to deposit all of his powerful Pokemon and swap them out for his lower-leveld ones. After all, he knew that he could easily win his badge with Cable alone but it was a Gym that Grovyle had an advantage in. And if Chimchar was as close to evolving as he thought he was, a Monferno would handle it very well too. Then he remembered that he needed to get a PokeBall for the Klink to live in; unlike every Egg he'd received in the past, this one didn't just...come with a PokeBall. Granted, this gave him an opportunity to put the gears into a ball he preferred--the Ultra Ball. Not that it really mattered in the long run what kind of ball a Pokemon was captured in, but he preferred the look of the Ultra Ball. The sleek yellow and black design really appealed to his senses. "I see the Mart right ahead. Let's run in there to get balls for these guys," he smiled down at Katie and dashed off towards the mart.
The clerk behind the counter seemed rather surprised when Kilik walked in, Flareon on his shoulder and a massive Electivire stomping in beside him, with a strange set of gears floating around his head. As he was about to make his order for the Ultra Ball, he paused. After all, they were pretty expensive and he didn't have very much money to blow on a Pokeball just because he felt it looked cool. "Uh," Kilik scratched the back of his head, "Two Pokeballs, please."
"Y'know you get a Premier Ball if you buy ten!" the cashier smiled, but Kilik turned him down. He held out his hand for the two PokeBalls and handed over the $400 it cost for them.
"In you go," Kilik conked the gear with one of the balls and inside it went, happy as a clam. Or surprised. He wasn't exactly sure which. He handed the extra ball to Katie, smiling. "I figured your Solosis would need it. C'mon," he nodded his head towards the Pokemon Center, "Time's a-wastin!"

"Talk? To me?" Kasiya asked, looking a bit bewildered, but she shrugged it off and smiled. "Sure thing!" She allowed the redhead to lead her across the Center, not realizing right away that they'd stopped near the trade machines. "So, what's up?" she asked, decidedly no longer looking Riza's way.
Karrigan had also noticed the glares that had been exchanged between Riza and Kasiya and she blinked a few times, recalling the intense battle the two had gotten into not too long ago, but she decided not to say anything about it, as she didn't want to upset the blonde girl and instead, she took a deep breath. "Well, I saw that you and that boy, Crenu, well, you made a Pokemon Trade. And I've never really heard of that sort of thing and I was just wondering if it's okay to just trade away your Pokemon like that. Don't you feel any kind of guilt or anything like that? What about the Pokemons' feelings?"
Kasiya nodded at the mention of the trade and she lightly touched Ariados' Pokeball, already imagining the look on Crenu's face when they challenged him someday, and the spider Pokemon was a real force to be reckoned with! Karrigan's questions, however, definitely caught her off guard and she just stood there, staring at the redhead as her brain searched for answers. "Uh, well," she started, now looking a bit unsure of herself. "Lots of trainers trade their Pokemon, and there are many reasons why. Sometimes trainers that come from different regions trade because they haven't seen those species before. And trading Pokemon is fun because it helps us to connect with other trainers and make friends from all over the place." She took a deep breath and tried to gauge Karrigan's reaction, but she didn't appear to be convinced.
The redhead furrowed her brow. "That may be true, but nothing's stopping trainers from visiting other regions. Take me for example; I'm from Sinnoh, and I've captured a few Pokemon from this region here. And you didn't answer my question about the Pokemon themselves. Doesn't it hurt their feelings to be thoughtlessly traded away like that? How is that fun?" A tinge of red had started to appear on Karrigan's face as her voice grew louder, and she quickly realized she was becoming angry, which was a rather rare occurrence for her.
"But it's not thoughtless at all," Kasiya protested, starting to get a little angry now as well. "Sometimes a trainer and Pokemon just aren't compatible with each other, despite their best efforts to get along and battle together, so it's better to trade them to another trainer to help them reach their full potential. There's nothing thoughtless about that, and I'd like to think it'd be better for both the Pokemon and trainer in the long run. I've traded Pokemon a few times now, and I don't regret a single one." Kasiya wore a stern expression as she eyed Karrigan, not sure why the girl's words had set her off so easily. Regardless, she figured Karrigan must have had a reason for the questions she'd asked. "But you know," she said, allowing herself to calm down some, "trading isn't for everyone. It's not like it's something you have to do if you don't want to."
Kasiya's next statements actually gave Karrigan pause, and she too began to calm down as she thought about what the blonde girl had said. "When you put it that way, it actually makes a lot of sense," she admitted, now looking at the ground and feeling quite embarrassed with herself. "I mentioned it earlier, but I have a Pokemon that I've been having trouble with, and now that you've suggested it, I think that maybe we're not as compatible as I'd like us to be." She removed Zaira's Pokeball from her belt and looked at it, frowning to herself. "I know you're probably pretty busy and all, but would you mind having a quick battle with me? I just want to check something out."

"You know you can just put your little bug away, it's going to sleep whenever I am around." Ampersand gave her a look as he stared down at the white haired bug that had those dangerous looking, and hot, spikes coming off it's head.
Looking down at the sleeping bug in her arms Robin just shrugged, knocking Luffy for a little ride to. "Hey the little guy has hardly been born so I am going to let him enjoy being out. Even if he is asleep. Besides, I think he is going to get to big to carry someday."
The both of them started down the odd mixture of both a rocky and grassy path. There were tons of trainers running around with their pokemon and hikers climbing up the sides of the mountain they could see they were approaching. They actually did make it pretty far without Robin being challenged to a pokemon battle. Almost to the cave entrance!
"Hey there little miss! You can't enter the cave without a pokemon battle. That just isn't right!" A loud booming voice called. Robin and Ampersand paused as they looked over and saw a large hiker heading over to them.
"A battle? All right!" Robin cheered jumping up excitedly. If Ampersand wasn't standing right next to her Zuko would have probably woken up from all the activity.
"One pokemon each no items." The Hiker said getting with a grin as he got out his own pokeball. Robin grinned as she fished out a pokeball herself. They both released their pokemon at the same time. Off to the side Ampersand just shook his head, he had been hoping to not battle every trainer they came across but that didn't look like it would happen.

Dante and Kenny watched as the now named Kali finished what she was eating and set to chewing the bowl up. "All right, well, while she is eating that let's think of something to do." Dante leaned back as he watched the dragon let go of the bowl and start to sniff around herself. Frowning he recalled her before she could start eating anything else. Rolling the unhatched egg around on his lap he looked over at Kenny. "Do you want to do anything Kenny." Dante wasn't quite sure what to do now.
"Dante." Angelic said behind him.
Glancing back Dante saw that both Angelic and Leo were standing there. Angelic was looking a bit embarrassed and Leo looked somewhat sullen and stubborn. "We wanted to apologize about how we acted. We should have just let the whole thing drop."
Leo huffed before he uncrossed his arms and gave Dante a look. "We just aren't used to not getting what we want I guess." Was all he offered.
"So will you forgive us?"

There was something about that Fake Out move performed by the Glameow that seemed quite familiar to Jake, and he frowned as the move rendered Cirrus unable to move for the time being. Either way, he was sure Jade and the Shinx could handle the snobby redhead and her equally snobby Pokemon, though he made a mental note to step in and help if it looked like she needed it. Magnemite, despite its quirky ways, seemed good and focused on the battle so far, and its Supersonic had been successful, which would make their side of the battle a little easier, for now at least. The blonde smiled to himself, deciding to make things even more lopsided with his next command. "Magnemite, I think now is the perfect time for Thunder Wave," he called, slipping a hand into his jeans pocket. Magnemite buzzed eagerly in reply, static electricity already rippling from the two magnets on either end of its body, and soon the weak charge was sent in the confused Misdreavus' direction.
The smug redheaded girl gave a short laugh and gave her head a shake, making her ginger curls bounce around her shoulders. She wasn't bothered by the fact that her dark-haired opponent was staying calm, but she could clearly seen that the girl's Shinx wasn't nearly as level-headed. "Charge up all you want, it won't help you," she said curtly. "Glameow, Hypnosis." She was aware of how badly things were going for her partner, but she clearly wasn't worried and instead watched as the feline Pokemon sat down, her curly tail beginning to spin and spiral in a curious manner, inducing a hypnotic, drowsy suggestion to the agitated Shinx.
=-=-=-=-= The Cave of Origin, Leo thought, running his hand along the rough wall he stood in front of, having climbed down several floors with a few of his top grunts. This was once the place where the Legendary Kyogre slumbered. But now, it's just an empty cavern. That aside, the intel we've gathered indicates that this is the most likely place the third relic could lie... The Silver Squadron leader took a step back and continued to study the wall, aware of a commotion in the distance. "Go check that out," he growled, pointing to the nearest grunt, a pretty young thing with razor-straight, dark green hair.
"Yessir," she said, saluting quickly and turning to head in the direction indicated by her superior. The noise that had caught Leo's attention had since gone away and now all that was left was a troubling silence. "Let's go," she muttered, clicking open two of the Rocket Balls attached to her belt, releasing a Houndoom and Mightyena. One took point and the other covered the rear as they moved forward. The very first thing the Rocket girl noticed was a distinct lack of her associates stationed around, and after a bit of investigation, she soon discovered the cause. "Hey you!" she shouted, pointing an accusatory finger at the pale-haired boy. "You shouldn't be here!" She motioned with a hand and the two Dark-type canines stepped forward, snarling viciously.
