Finally, he found something that looked more familiar. A long hallway with arrows ... great, more things to hurt him. But he had to get out of here. Taking a deep breath, Tedan ran down the hallway - and ended up with not only one, but two arrows sticking out of various places by the time he got to the end. Wonderful. Gritting his teeth, he snapped the shafts off and then started trying to pull out the heads.
"Little ... help here, maybe?" he muttered to anyone who might be nearby.

Her attempt at escaping the axe-blades did not go so well. She made it past the first and second, but the third knocked her backwards. And then the second blade caught her hip, which unbalanced her. In a quick lunge, she went sprawling back to where she had started.
"Gawd damnit!" Fini glared at the swinging blades. If only looks could kill~
:: Breathe, stop cussing like the devil, and get your a** in gear! :: Awe, was the vârcolac feeling emotional? :: Head in the game, love. ::
"How sweet. You do care, don't you!" She chuckled, hoping the slice on her hip wasn't that bad. It did sting...
Once again, she studied the blades and prepared to make a second attempt at a dash through them.

And once again, she took off as soon as she counted down the seconds in her head. Hopefully she timed it better this time and ran faster. And didn't bounce off the blades again.

While running Tori heard loud whooshing noise to duck out of the way of a blade coming down and missing. Looking across the room to see that there were more of those blades. "Hell's bells," she said took a deep breath and ran like the wind to cross the room.

To say there was not something impressive streaming out of her mouth this time as she wheeled around, dodging what she could to try and escape this room would have been a miracle. Fini had all but beat her head against a wall when she saw that creature. It was ******** huge. Vashi didn't even have to tell her to get the hell out of there. She figured that one out on her own.
The question was, how the hell did she accomplish that? Simple: run around and avoid getting hit and hope she discovered an exit soon.

The third rune finally clicked into place, which only left one more. Sandy could have cried in relief, as she memorized the third one and took a second to think. There had been the same four runes from back then: she remembered two of them, and one of them had not been used yet. Hesitantly, she moved her flashlight around to the glyph in question and pressed down against it.
A soft thunk, and the a louder clack as all four runes pushed themselves deeper into the floor. She barely restrained herself from shouting in triumph: the elevator mechanism was unlocked. Sandy looked up, "It's... its working. Now, try pushing down on the levers again? Everybody else, hang tight we're almost-"

She froze, putting up one hand: be quiet. Though they could not see it, they could hear the creature as it exhaled, clawing the walls close to them, their movement causing everything to tremour. The platform shook once, twice, and suddenly dropped a few feet down.
Instead of the cylindrical wall, the trainees could literally see, at this angle, the catacombs they had navigated below. The elevator platform itself was suspended right above the room of serpents and as they moved their flashlights to investigate, could hear the hisses echoing from the room underneath.
Sandy was too busy holding her breath to speak, heart pounding furiously, waiting for the clicking to begin again. It never did. It was only a full minute later before she quietly, very quietly, gestured to Eva and Wilson.OOC - PUSHING THE LEVERS, the levers are for some reason, ridiculously hard to push back, and only move, even with the trainees' full exertion, halfway. Are they Fear based? - ANY TRAINEES ARRIVING: Trainees can still arrive, the platform is a little lower than usual but not much, they can simply slide into the elevator room with the others.

Tori had been glad that Aklin had decided that right this second was a good time to be quiet as she ran. Finally she had made it to the other side and only taking some damage as that was better that it could have been.

So far, she was not finding a way out. And there was debris falling. Or already on the ground causing her to trip, stumble, slam into. Damnit! If the monstrosity trying to get her didn't kill her, it would be all the damn things she slammed a knee into!

This time Tori ran into a room that had water inside of it and she just stopped just in time before falling into said water. Aklin was a little happy to see that there was water in this room and Tori just had to sigh as they were trying to find an exit. On hearing a hissing sound Tori moved her flashlight to see that there were tons of snakes in the water. Carefully she walked across the stone bridge as she didn't want to deal with the snakes trying to attack her.

Then there was clicking again. Sandy did something, and the floor dropped. Tedan bit back a low noise of surprise and decided he could ignore the arrows for now. If they could get the damn elevator working, they could get out of here. That would be ... really really good right about now. Carefully, Tedan moved over toward Wilson and then leaned in to whisper, "Anything I can do to help..?"

This just plain sucked. There were no other words coming to mind currently besides that. Oh and how much she really hated caves. Especially with that big a** thing trying to kill her. Nightmares for a while, anyone?

After getting to the other side of the room that had the snakes in it, Tori started to run again to make sure that creature didn't catch up to her. Slowing down a little once she had gotten into a different room to see all the gold and riches that would have made her parent total want it all for themselves. What did grab her attentions that she stopped to look at the pedestal and the strange glyph. She hummed for a second when she thought that there might have been something there but it didn't hold her for long as she remembered that she need to find an exit.

Feeling the distinct feeling of someone standing right behind her, Eva turned to glance over her shoulder, her expression instantly lighting up as she realized who the newcomer was. "Puppy! You're safe!" And thank god for that. She had been pretty worried about him, especially considering...well, that giant monster and Otto's fear of the dark.
She gave him a tug with her free hand so that he was no longer standing behind her. Her other hand continued to hover over the lever. Eva opened her mouth to say something to the teen, but immediately clamped it shut when Sandy began to speak again. Oh man--did they have it? Could they get out of here now?
...What was that click?
Her lips were pressed into a thin line as the creature's movements made themselves audible--the breathing, the sound of its steps as it moved, and--ooooh boy. Was that supposed to happen to the platform?
Whatever the case, Eva quickly snapped out of it when she realized that Sandy was gesturing towards her. She looked across the room at Wilson, hoping that he could make her out as she gave him a little nod and attempted to push down (or rather, practically hang off of) the lever. Why was this thing so hard to budge?
What is going on with this darn...--Chara?
