Legs wobbled onto her feet, feeling some of her strength return when the warmth spread throughout the land. Of course, she still had some pent up frustration for everything that had happened to her and with her initial target gone (Legs, unfortunately, shares no loyalty to the former Gym Professor. That was allllll Tess, baby) she needed to vent elsewhere. Canting her hips, she spotted Eris being assaulted! Oh! Oh! The pair of limbs may not have been able to garner much of the horsewoman's attention earlier but this seemed like an opportune moment! Thanks to her sneakers, she managed to cover enough ground and gain enough momentum to launch herself into a kick. The sole of her outstretched leg was aimed for the not-reaper with the huge weapon. Except another not-reaper (one with pretty blond hair wearing a cowl) got in the way. Oh candlejack! Target: Jude Damage: 12 - 6 = 6/2 = 3 Tess/Legs HP: 22 + 10 = 32

"What's that? I don't speak b***h." There was no way Caelius was going to let the horseman yield, not on this close ground. There was a loud screech as his attack slid off the metal wristband, but he was already readying a second attack, arcing moving the blade upwards where Eris had stood. It missed entirely as she twisted: Jude's attack had thrown the Death Hunter entirely off kilter.
"Back off." Caelius growled at any of the other trainees attempting to 'help'. "If you have that much energy to waste, save it for when it matters."
There was blood dripping on the ground: not Eris's but his own. The motion had most likely pulled open his wound, and the Hunter finally relented, backing a few steps to let her come to him. x_Nata_x HP: ??/ ??? Attack: (Miss) 3.5 damage last turn is fine Nata XD

Shehk looked up as Israfel took off, holding the stripped pieces of jacket in her hand before carefully unwrapping the dress that Amrita had put on her head earlier to replace it with the cleaner (or at least less bloody) fabric. It almost looked like a messed up headband. Was that all the better to look like the unofficial 'head' of the group? Shehk wouldn't have considered herself the 'leader' by any means, but...
somehow the group had assembled with her as a center in a way.
"STAY SAFE!" Shehk called out after the Siren. Fear pooled in her stomach, but she forced herself to remain alert. She had to watch out for Johan, in case what he was doing would..well.. help with something! She had to hope that there was at least a platform for them to work off of here. It didn't have to be perfect. But trying something... anything..it was better than nothing. When Sammy began to yell up at the figure that flew up above them, she winced, her ears flattening back as they tried to turn out the mass of noise. Ow ow ow.
That was loud.
The pricolici tried for a much tamer alternative. Taking a deep breath..she howled. Not her twisted death-howl, but a genuine howl.. a living-howl. If nothing else, Shehk had the benefit of being able to speak in her own tongue. As ex-werewolf to ex-werewolf. They were kin, right?
It would make a difference, right?

"That's alright, I will teach you -- by the night's end, you will be my b***h."
There was distinct satisfaction in watching Caelius miss. The blade whistled as it sliced through air again, but that was all it had sliced through, War's Heir having already slipped just out or reach. A few feet separated them now, but Caelius seemed to be changing his tactic -- Eris' grin broadened into a sadistic smirk as he told his trainee's to back off, her eyes drifting down his body like a predator, sharpened gaze almost seductive in nature. Like a strange, feral dance, she took the same few strides forward as he had made back, not letting the distance between them span wider, her eyes flicking from the blood staining the sand to his face again, lifting near her lips, crooking it at him.
"You're bleeding, love... c'mere, let me kiss it and make it better~"
Curling her finger to touch the pad to the tip of her thumb, she lifted the ring to her lips, splaying her other fingers out as she blew through it, fire cascading out towards the Death Hunter.Damage: OBV MISS HP: 32

His burst of rebirth adrenaline gone, West glided back down to the ground with a thud and a sigh. The fighting continued, mostly centered around Eris for some reason he couldn't fathom, but there was a small gathering of students as well, quite a few of whom were concentrating on Shehk. Yaya's other living drapery stand was there too, and he was... doing magic? What was going on?
He ducked closer to the wall as Shehk began to howl, hoping to make himself less of a target, and looked back up at Monster Red just in time to see Levi as she dropped off of the creature. West smirked. Had she jumped up there? Flying had been quite strenuous enough, thank you. He might have been alive again, but he felt stretched thin and floaty, and was sure if he stared too long at any one thing that those blobs would come back.
"Didja hit it?" he shouted at the tatzel when she was close enough, his voice scratchy from yelling at ghosts.

"Yeah, we'll get her." Ennéa said quietly in response to Jordan. She snuggled against his side. "And we can all go home. I think I'm ready to sleep for a million years. Ooh-- but first, maybe hit the dinning hall and make the biggest ice cream sundae that even Robert wouldn't be able to finish." She chuckled half-hardheartedly at her own joke. "Caramel sauce and nuts, whipped cream, and a cherry! The cherry is important, you know." She nodded. Behind her eyes, Baraz's slit-pupiled eye was glaring resentfully at her. He was restlessly growling and shifting his wings but thankfully he wasn't screeching at her. He seemed to have learned from past mistakes too. "Soon." Ennéa said to him, looking up at the sky.

He'd only realized the command to back off was made beforehand. He was too busy avenging his fellow hunters to realize where the horsewoman was going as well as to hear anything Caelius said amidst all the voices and things that were going on. Despite being yelled at there was a satisfaction that came from the expression the creature had made amongst everything else though. He glanced at Caelius and just simply made sure to create a distance between himself and the two facing off. The fact that he'd almost been caught in between an attack from Caelius was kind of moot for him at the moment. Trainees learn things best on the field. Yep! Yep! ... ..Whatever. As he was making his way forward he apparently intercepted a kick from...a pair of legs. He let out a very displeased sound of annoyance and pain. Was it karma paying him back for accidentally ignoring orders to stay away or just happenstance? The world may never know.

"Very important," Jordan agreed. In spite of everything, in spite of War posturing and taunting, in spite of the ever-present threat of their once-instructor soaring overhead, a deep calm and peace was settling into him. "You gotta pay attention to the details." He looked down at Ennea, serious and sober. "We're going to have to fight some more first. You ready? Both of you?" There were two of him and one of him. And that was all right.

He moved out of the attack's direction, anticipating the flames before they even hit. Compared to Red, who could probably even fight on par with an Ancient, Eris was simply an infuriating roach that would not die.
At this point, the fight was nothing but show of wits between a Hunter who did not want to push his limits and a Horsemen who preferred to play. It could not even be called a true battle: just a show, a display, a push of power. Two forces who refused to yield.
Caelius shifted, stepping both one stride forwards and sideways. They were incredibly close now, the tension a black void, as he all but whispered in her ear, a low tone, calm, controlled. "You horsemen made the wrong mistake centuries ago, but I'm sure soon, it wont matter at all. You know what I'm talking about... or did your clan forget to tell you?"
That was it, no further attack, no weapon blades flashing. In another step, he dropped his scythe, and seemingly flickered again, appearing a few steps behind. Waiting.

The creature was out of reach to Xiu now, but that was fine--her hesitance about attacking had returned after the voice--Arel's voice--confirmed that that creature really was Red. Besides, the only reason she had attacked at all was out of concern that Red would accidentally kill the Amityville students with its attacks, but now that it stopped attacking altogether...
Was there a way to stop Red? To turn her back?
She broke out of her thoughts when she realized that Levi was readying herself for another attack, and--was she jumping up towards Red?! "...! L-levi, be careful!" The baku watched, mouth agape, as the Tatzel landed on the creature's back and struck out at the wing. Once Levi landed safely on the ground again, Xiu let out a breath that she didn't know she had been holding. Thank Jack the Tatzel had come out of that unharmed!
She began to hurry towards her, but paused as she heard a rather rough voice suddenly speak up. Was he talking to Levi? Pausing, Xiu turned to glance at West, her brows creasing as she took in the other demon's appearance. "A-are you alright?" He looked, and sounded, worse for wear. Xiu vaguely recognized him as one of Levi's teammates--she had seen them all together when they had first arrived--but the baku had no idea that he had been dead only a short while ago.

"Yep." Ennéa said, even as she watched the horse-girl attack Caelius with a plume of fire. The senior hunter disdainfully dodged them with ease. "I can fight." It was odd, but she meant it too, it wasn't just a show of confidence. She raised her axe as if to show her battle-readiness. Baraz hissed eagerly when she moved but then resettled with an exasperated huff. Ennéa stroked the handle of her axe. "Baraz is always ready."

Edel was quite terrified when she saw Lattice get whipped straight into a rock and stayed there, unmoving. Her breath stopped for a moment and her muscles tensed up. In that moment, she was as stunned as the engraver was.
However, a wave of blue swept over them and Edel was feeling much better when she saw the engraver stir and regain her footing. Amidst the whirl of chaos and battling, Edel didn't really notice that the colour had returned. All eyes were on what was supposed to be Red. There were cries to bring it down from both sides of the field, leaving the ghoul feeling conflicted and slightly confused. She never knew the battlefield was to be so chaotic.
The frost demon stared at the beast in flight, watching attacks rain upon its wings. A spear was in her hands but she was hesitant. Was this..... really the best way? Edel gripped the spear and composed herself. Arching back, she threw the ice spear at its wings, feeling slightly apologetic for doing so. She could only assume, for now, that that was the right thing to do.

Bix had been in the middle of readjusting his shot. The beast's powerful wings were just as likely to knock projectiles away as they were to be pierced by them and we was working on some way to compensate for that. Gale was all well and good with his gun but arrows had a bit more manual effort involved. "Nice shot Ga....uuggghh.." Suddenly, out of nowhere spot swam in his vision. He didn't know the horsewoman had caused it, nor did he even know she was a horsewoman. To him she was just some weirdo with wings from Halloween. He was not near enough to the conversations and nowhere in his mind did 'giant flaming horse monster' equate with those women. "I think something's wrong with my eyes.." He couldn't tell that the white orbs were physically clinging to him. All he could do was try to look at something and have a blob right smack dab in the way. He grabbed Gale's shoulder a moment, prone to tripping and stubbing himself on things and hoping to avoid it. (( Bix has -7 modifier on hits for next 2 turns ))

Amrita listened to Shehk's story. It was a short one, but relatively effective. "I see." She murmured, trying to think of the possibilities. "So...Red brought us here on purpose." Oh ulterior motives, you horrible, horrible things. "Wouldn't be the first, or last, time we're used as bait." Amrita sighed, slumping her posture for a moment. So many times... Oh Jack, she was so tired... Mot's suggestion teased an amused smile out of her, but true to form she didn't laugh. It was Israfel's appearance that made her heart hurt, if only for how scared and panicked the boil was; she was scared too, but...it wasn't the time for that, and if she had to she'd keep trying to not let Shehk give up. Not that it looked like she'd have to, since the ghoul was pretty okay now, thank Jack. Johan's odd talking caught her attention again, and she stared at him blankly for almost the entire time. What was he...? Err. Uhh...oh jack why couldn't she understand heavy accents better?! It was like that one time with Christof! Augh. It was like he was speaking another language! So she clung to the words she recognized; colour, center, flaring, studying, recreate...question mark? The ghoul looked troubled as she tried to piece it all together, but thankfully had a distraction in Shehk. "I'm...sorry I hit you." She murmured sheepishly to the Pricolici, fidgeting. "I just...well, I couldn't let you---err, just...I'm sorry, really." It seemed like a good idea at the time, but like most things she did on reflex, she was regretting it. She did finally understand what Johan was saying when he started his magic. What he was doing kind of looked like... Oh! Recreating the head markings! Neat! She nodded to the instructions, at least understanding the be prepared and the be alert! As she turned to put her back to Johan, she paused when she saw Shehk remove her makeshift bandage. Well...it had been clean! Not all of her dress was dirty and bloody, mostly just the bodice and the under layer. "Ah! I have thread and a needle too, if you need to be stitched up!" She...wasn't any sort of good with a needle, but...at least the offer was there. The Vetala couldn't howl, she couldn't join in the attack to bring Red to her senses, and quite honestly she was done with public speaking. That left...what? Whelp! Looks like she was going to protect Johan! Or at least try. "Don't worry, I'm a certified meat shield! Tried and tested this whole jackin' trip!" She joked out loud, trying to find the humor in her battered body and over just how many times she had come painfully close to dissipating. "Good thing they built me resilient! Err...he'll probably still kill me, though." Amrita lamented, somewhat unaware that she was speaking out loud now.

Mot smiled. Sammy seemed better ish. At least she was back to rallying, encouraging Red to snap out of it. If their teacher was alive, all the better for morale. Apparently, as Makeshift Student Morale Officer, that was important to him.
Heh. That was kind of cool. He had a job.
