Mot decided not to talk about his little incident with Needle and her... needles.
Ahem.
"Very nice.. very.. um.. energetic." Visibly, Mot seemed nervous. He tried not to let on. "I bet you can't wait to go back and see her again. This trip feels like it has lasted forever, doesn't it?"

Lattice seemed alright on the topic of her Sister, "Well, she can be a bit of a handful," she admitted with a small smile, "when we were younger she used to climb up things and at least once she got stuck. The Elders were most displeased."
She nodded a bit, "I am very excited to see her again soon," Lattice replied as she tilted her head to one side, "as much as I miss her I am glad...she is back in Halloween safe and sound where no one can harm her."
Did this make her a hypocrite? She shoved the thought aside for now.

"Really? Ha ha! Rambunctious, even in childhood. I can see it." Mot grinned. This was so much better. Talking cheerfully with a friend. He really needed it, and Lattice probably did too.
The reaper nodded in agreement. Having a loved one safe at home must have eased her worries. It certainly would have made him feel better, but all his loved ones were here in the house. For now, he simply willed himself to believe in them.
"Earlier, you mentioned her being in a ritual?" Mot asked conversationally.

"I doubt she will ever stop," she said in a tone that suggested fondness. Much more at ease now she seemed to feel better for the most part though until she knew that Mot and Hel would be alright she probably will still fret about it.
Quietly she released the hold she had on Mot's sleeve and her hand rested over her lap. Her head nodded a bit, "Yes, she is getting a new needle put into her arm due to her achievement in skill at our art," she said proudly. "The Elders finally deemed that it was time for the needle to be placed."

Lizzy had stayed quiet for the most part; Bul's revelation of their captors being human had her wondering when their roles reversed. They were supposed to be frightened of them - that was how it worked right? They scare humans? Right now though, it seemed like they, creatures of Halloween, were more apprehensive towards these humans than they were of them.
She didn't have much time to dwell on it, however, as tension soon started to rise again. She wasn't sure what Hel was upset about, but she jeard her name mentioned... Fawned? Well, to be fair, she fawned over Mot plenty too! They were good friends, and besides, Mot was a gentleman to almost everyone! She really couldn't-
Lattice's outburst caused her to wince; she had seen and heard the ghoul angry and upset before... It was not a pretty sight. Despite all that, she had to admit that the ghost made a lot of sense.
That tone Hel used though, against Lattice and against Mot... How could she say something like that? And was there really a need to drag Mac into this? What did he have to do with all this? Mot's comeback surprised her, however, as she had never seen him quite this angry before... He was always wven tempered, and seeing him raise his voice against a ghoul - against Hel of all people - was enough to make her curious about the issue.
Wait... Didn't Lattice say something about Hel wanting Mot's attention? It does... Seem that way. Huh... There was something about that that reminded her of her own experiences, although she had never been vocal with it...
Did Hel have a crush on Mot? Was she... In the way?
When Mot left with Lattice, she gathered up her courage and moved towards where Hel was, her eyes filled with concern as she sat down beside her, "Do you... Like Mot as more than a friend?"

So, the needles were part of a ritual. It seemed to be some kind of achievement, like a medal or honor to be bestowed. Mot smiled. "I bet you're very happy for her."
He looked down at her arms. The tattoos were beautiful. Graceful, and seemed full of meaning and depth. Her needles, every one of them, was special, right? One representing a separate achievement.
"Your tattoos are very lovely."

"I am very happy for her, it is quite an honor to be put through the ritual," Lattice replied with a firm nod. With each painful spike was a feeling of achievement and recognition for one's skill that was probably why it was painful in more ways than one when an Outcast got their arms torn away.
Lattice gazed down at her tattoos happy to see them again, "Thank you, Mot," she replied sincerely. She seemed thoughtful, "Has Mot ever thought about getting a tattoo? Many I talk to seem rather interested in the prospect."

Hel wasn’t really expecting to be approached, much less by Lizzy of all people. Feeling the ghoul sit down next to her, she glanced over, and while she had been feeling numb earlier, seeing the concern in the spider demoness’ eyes brought a feeling of shame to her. Hel had been upset at her for no good reason…and yet here she was…
The reaper wouldn’t snap, but she wasn’t going to talk about her feelings either. She may have learned a little too late that this wasn’t the time and place for their own personal squabbles, but she was going to be sure to use that logic to her favor now. Hel at this point just wanted to keep her mouth shut, as everyone seemed to get her when she opened it. “…This isn’t the time or the place, Lizzy.” She replied in a quiet, flat tone. “I’m not going to speak about it.” The ghoul stiffened after she said that, waiting for some kind of back lash from somewhere.

"No, not really." Mot admitted with a bashful smile. "Honestly it never crossed my mind. They seem really cool to have. Then again, it's a big decision, having something on your skin that never goes away." He looked to her tattoos again.
"It would have to be something very special." Not something he would get on a whim.

The Engraver nodded her agreement, "Most certainly it is something that will always stay with you," she said in a serious tone. Not that she disagreed with frivolous tattoos at all it was just better when people didn't get tattoos for shallow reasons. "Of course there are ways to get them removed."
Not that they were at all pleasant.
Quietly she looked at him for a moment before she reached over and pointed at his chest right over where his heart was, "Maybe something there. One day. Sort of like a badge."

Cady strolled in the door lazily, rubbing the sleep from her eyes only to see-
Demi?
"HEY DAMIEN ARE TWO HEADS BETTER THAN ONE?"

(( Entering from Game Room! ))
"I saw tattoos once. They were on an idiot's a**," came a voice from nowhere - no, wait, the wall!
In came Edward Sullen, though he was not scowling. Rather, fresh blood was still on his mouth from his fight with the two-legger; painful, yes, and he had been "killed", but . . . So worth it. And here were new targets!
The Boo licked his lips and perused the menu. There was . . . something with needles in her arm. Something with too much clothing and a hat to cover his head. Something with spikes on her head. Something with a hooked tail and horns. And something with a big, pointy stick.
. . . =A= He stopped licking his lips. And quite suddenly, Edward Sullen lived up to his name and sparkled with a pout.
"And you all look like idiots to me." Idiots in that they all had nasty things to hurt him with or otherwise make feeding a nuisance.

Mot did not wish to imagine having a tattoo removed. That sounded painful and unpleasant.
Mot watched where Lattice pointed, hovering his own hand over his chest. "Here?" Like a badge. He wondered what could ever be so important that he would devote a place over his heart to it.
"Maybe, huh? Like a badge.." Something important. Something meaningful. It was hard to imagine devoting himself to something with such loyalty. He was just a goofball in chaps, after all. "I wonder if I would.."
Cady and some Boo entered. Mot blinked, his head turning to the commotion. He smirked a bit and chuckled. "Oh dear."

Damien's ears flicked over in Cady's direction before both of his heads did and both had the .__. expression on it. "Wats that? you'se dont want a piece of spooky? Grrr, ok more jerky and sweets for me." he growled back.
The ghoul was probably still full from all that door fiber anyways.

((enter from haunted house - outside))
"Ack! Sorry, I'm late guys!" Bea once again had stumbled into the room. She peered around for her teammates when she spotted them... in a cuddle pile...
"You guys look... comfortable." Bea let out a giggle before turning to Cady who had arrived just before she did.
