I've played bari sax for almost, three and a half years now, and I'm never going back!!! xD
unfortunately though, I had to march my Alto since it was my first year, and my BD didn't want me to have to worry about learning how to march with a bari sax since there was already another bari sax player. The second I put that alto my lips, I almost cried!!

i play the bari sax! and i love it, i used to play the flute but i switched over since we needed a bari and im glad i did. the only thing i dont like is having to cary it around because i dont have much muscle sweatdrop

I play bass clarinet (sebastian) biggrin however I march with my clarinet (pablo, after the backyardigans). I never realized how annoying clarinets are until I stopped playing it razz

so, this might not be the place for this, but its the low woodwinds section, so wth. (i'm actually in guard but i used to play clarinet, and i did bass for one year. but i heart heart heart heart heart heart low woodwinds, esp contrabass clarinets biggrin )
so. this spring our wind ensemble played La Fiesta Mexicana (which is a 20 minute long song. or was it 19 1/2? lol) in the first movement theres this epic contrabass clarinet solo(ish) part. only problem is that we don't have one...(stupid budget cuts) but we have a regular bass...and a bari sax. so they played it instead, and i shocked my friends when i said it sounded cooler than the pro version with the contrabasses smile lol

The higher register instruments are usually only really annoying when the people suck at it

TENOR SAXES RULE. just sayin~ <3
it took an entire week of band camp for my instructor to decide to put me in the low brass section instead of alto sax's because my part was the same as the baritone part. :b im the only chick... but its ok. i get a lot of compliments for it. (: i cant wait to be a senior and be the only girl, only tenor, AND the section leader<3

Seriously, why do we always get lumped with them, we are far too awesome to be considered "brass" instruments. lol

DeadBloodyRose4U I play bass clarinet and bari sax I intend on learning the contra-alto-clarinet and the contra-bass-clarinet ^.^ I also intend on taking over my best friends place as the alto clarinet player after he graduates, lol *psst* he doesnt know, haha I play all woodwind instruments, working on prcussion and strings now. :3

I play bass clarinet.
I can kinda play most, if not all saxes. I don't know a lot of note, but I can play generally simple things.
My dream is to play contra-bass-clarinet ^^

Tenor Saxophone Baby!!! His name is jimmy(after the kid on southpark). you missed the rare low saxophones on your list of instruments. Those are the bass sax, the contrabass sax, and the subcontra bass/ tubax. they're real look em up. However, sorry to most of you low lovers, i wanna go up, but not a little up but a lot of up. I wanna learn the soprillo/ piccollo sax, and sopranino sax.
