Mia was in the process of picking up her sunken Azurill when she noticed the little blue light was shinning a lot brighter now. She looked up and noticed a small carvern. The cavern could keep them warm for now, but she still had no idea on how she was ever going to get back to the academy.
This little blue light had gotten them even more lost than what they already were, and now it was expecting them to enter this cavern. Even though she did not trust the blue light, she didn’t really have a choice. It was enter the cavern or freeze to death out here. But she knew she had to be careful. She was ready for a battle if it became necessary. Which would seem to come rather sooner than later when Mia entered the cavern and noticed the gray Tepig’s. Maybe the blue light’s intentions were actually to help Mia and her Azurill, but it had other plans for these little pig-like Pokemon. And quite frankly, Mia wouldn’t stand for it.
She ran over to the Tepig’s. The first thing she noticed was that one would probably not make it and it broke Mia’s heart. Though, she would try to save both… She needed to make it back to the academy and save these Tepig's, but she had no idea on how do to either.

It was then that it would appear ...the little flicker of light would form as it enter the cavern and smiles so beautifully at her. Though that smile was dangerous ...deadly for this pokemon was known for sucking the life out of those that dared to use it for a guide.
The Tepig, the one that was still alive and active gave a small snort of warning. It was the best it could do ...as it's eyes almost as gray as it's body understood immediately what it had come to do ..this pokemon that trick those into it's cavern so that it could eat them.
It's light would grow bigger brighter as it started this process of consuming it's foe.

Mia thought of her options. She could run away and save herself but leave this Tepig behind to get its life sucked out of it, or she could try to fight back. She only had one Pokemon at full power left… Would that be enough?
She made up her mind. For now, she would stay and battle this Pokemon. She called out Blaze. “Use Bite.” The Growlithe was more than ready to battle, as he smiles and starts charging towards the Litwick. The Litwick smiles as the pokemon came forth, and it stepped back out into the cold night air. Hoping that the winds and the snow would do more to drive away the attack of the Growlithe than anything he could possible do ....as his flame continues to flare ...as he lunges backwards.

Though his plan didn't work out as planned. The Growlithe braved the cold air and continued charging towards the Litwick and only stopped when he felt the texture of... wax in his mouth. It wasn't what he expected but it didn't stop him from clamping down tightly on the Litwick. Growlithe lvl:2/Bashful Hp: 14 Pp: 18 Att: 8 Def: 7 Spd: 8 Sp Att: 8 Sp Def: 7 Moves:Bite, Roar Exp: 0/100

[16 - 4 + 8 - 11 = 9 x 2 = 18dmg + flinch]

The pokemon was almost knocked out in one blow as that pokemon's teeth sunk into it's ghostly hide. Pain was on it's face as the pokemon actually flinches from the move as it pulls away and the snow blew harder in response of that situation ...as if it was trying in some matter to heal him.
His eyes were closed as it shivered despite the fact that it's a ghost. IN that moment, the element of attack was lost, and the pokemon defended itself again.

"Use Bite again!" She yelled out to Blaze. "And don't hold back!" She had never been this ruthless in her life. But this Pokemon had killed other Pokemon, and was going to do the same with the Tepig and maybe even her and her Pokemon. [20 - 4 + 8 - 11 = 13 x2 =26dmg]
Hp: -25
The Litwick would seem to shimmer out of existence with that next bite. The pokemon wasn't alive to begin with, so there was no blood to drop on the ground now ....was there a body to hang loosely in the air ......as the pokemon seemly seemed to poof in a cloud of smoke. It's physical form so damage, that it couldn't possible hold it together for now ....for now at least.
As Mia would see and learn something quite interesting. Ghost types can not be killed.

As soon as the Litwick disappeared, she knew she had to hurry up and get out of there. She called back Blaze, and looked at the Tepig. She knew she had to bring him to safety. She picked him up and ran out of the cave. "If you can't manage to get through this snow, you will have to return to your Pokeball," she said, looking back at Hapi. She knew he would rather freeze to death than return to his pokeball, so she would have to watch out for him.

The other Tepig...his sister doesn't even move as he is taken away. The male felt a tear run down his face, he was too weak to even call to her. And she, too far gone, for it to matter ...as the snowstorm disappears almost as fast as the ghost. The pokemon that had caused it all ....a Vanillite saw that it's companion had been defeated and quite smartly ran away.
Thus, leaving that cavern and the grim fate of those that rest there far behind them.
Hapi snorted as he followed afterwards. He wasn't even allowed to battle as he came after the girl ...using his tail this time as a spring to hop in and out of the snow. He was not going to need her help again.

Almost as soon as Mia made it out of the cave, the snowstorm seemed to clear, which made getting to safety slightly easier. Of course, the was still the issue of the deep snow that they had to get through, but they could easily manage that after the storm they just had to go through. She kept running through the snow, trying to get as far away from the cave as she could before the Ghost Pokemon would return.
After they had made it far away enough from the cave, she slowed her pace to a fast walk. She looked back, the cave was no where in sight. She looked down at the hurt Pokemon... She could save him physically, but she that he was hurting far worse than that. And Mia felt like she was the cause of it. She had separated them. She only assumed that he wanted to be saved, but that might not have been the case. She apologized to the Tepig and kept walking. She couldn't return to the cave now so the worst was done.

Though after that entire episode in the cavern, it was hard now to determine which way was right. Which way should they be traveling now ....as the Azurill continued to follow her.
The snow would stay deep, and the wind was bitter and cold. Though there was no more snow, and life with everything blanketed in a world of white it was even harder to determine any sort of land marks.
The little Tepig heard her apology and shook his head. He would have died there if not for her, but as weak as he was ...it was hard to determine if he wouldn't eventually meet that fate anyway.
Her walk would continue until she got to a place where the snow finally started to thin. Where her feet would touch harsh ground and gravel, and finally she would tread upon rocks completely.
The place suddenly felt a lot hotter too ...as the snow still lay behind them as a reminder of where they had been. She was almost to the Island's center.

Soon enough, the snow grew thinner. She wasn't sure if this meant she was back at the beginning, or deeper in, but when she felt a sudden wave of heat and there were no red tree's with same color leaves, she knew she wasn't back at the beginning. At least she wasn't struggling to walk in deep snow. And of course, it was much easier for Hapi to get around now.

There was a roar then ....a roar unlike the roar of any other pokemon ....as deep paws went up to his ankle in snow. The creature's eyes blazed flames ...as he looked downwards at the rolling slopes from where he stood by the gaps of the volcano as it blew it's plume upwards clouding him as he looked and judged.
Would she be the one?
Behind him set two eggs, .....as the flames went even higher and he waited to see what she would do next. As the thick curling smoke worked to hide them and him better than anything else.

The warmth was causing her to feel a little bit uncomfortable, but it was a nice change from the snow. She continued on her way, holding on desperately to the Tepig, trying to assure him that she would find a way to save him. All of a sudden, she heard a roar. It was so different... So compelling. It was then the noticed an abundance of smoke. It seemed to forming a wall, almost as if it was hiding something behind it.
As if forgetting the danger she got herself into the last time she followed something strange, Mia broke into a run, trying to reach this strange smoke. She was sure that the roar also came from somewheres beyond that smoke. ooc// I should probably stop following strange things ... I'll end up getting myself killed. sweatdrop
