 Artie Hopper "Yeah.. Thanks for the compliment." Artie replied with a smile as he saw her surprised look on her face before asking if he knew how to cook as she hung her head down in a sad way. "Um..yeah..But in my case it was more of an I had to learn, or I'll go hungry, kind of situation. You see my mom died not long after I was born, so it was just me and my dad. After I got old enough to be left alone at home, I started experimenting on how to cook myself, since I didn't like eating the ready made stuff all the time. So eventually I just learned through trial and error.." He said to her embarrassedly while he blushed as he scratched the back of his head.

Maka Cody  Maka kept her head hung but gave him the thumbs up. "I'm sorry that your mother died...But still....Its good how you learned to cook....I couldn't cook if my life depended on it....I only know-....I only can cook cakes...thats all..." She mumbled then glanced at him,smiling lightly.After rethinking somethings she looked at him. "I wonder...what its like...to have parents...I only had cousins my same age to take care of me..It was fun until..." She looked back at the river angry and didn't bother to finish knowing it probably could upset Artie. ...and I won't let anyone hurt them.
That's why I'll never give up, I will stop you, even if I have to Fight you!

Artie Hopper Artie blinked a bit at the sudden thumbs up, and listened to her when she talked a bit about her life. "Until what...?" Artie asked, doubting he would like the answer, but had to ask anyway. Maybe he could help her feel better like she helped him.

"Until the...damn humans came to try out some very nice new weaponry...I guess they thought that getting rid of us while using cool new weapons would be fun..." She rolled her eyes and laughed slightly and darkly ."And....After seeing Cole hurt...i guess that's when i started killing them...after Cole was shot over and over...i guess thats when the fun ended..." She mumbled quickly somewhat speaking mostly to herself on the last sentence.

Artie Hopper Artie looked down a bit as he heard what happened and the people who caused it. "They deserved what they got, those humans. They shouldn't have hurt other living things just to test out some new weaponry, that makes me disappointed to be a human.." He replied a bit sadly, not happy that those humans did such horrible things.

Maka sighed again to calm herself. "Well....I cant make them seem like the only bad guys....Me Koty and Cole used to steal weapons....We stole from people since we didn't...have parents to scold for us i guess...So it was partly our fault they came to kill...." She looked at the river sadly before turning to him. "Why do you humans.....create weapons?Is there truly a need for them?" She asked setting a hand over her left shoulder. "You people say they'll help create peace right? Well how come they create more pain and hatred than peace???? Are humans really that blind?" She asked him completely serious.

Artie Hopper "I don't know why we create them. But I'm not a straight laced person myself, as I created my own weapons system.. I did it so I could protect myself.. I would never want to actually hurt a person nor creature with it though.." Artie replied to her honestly as he looked at her a bit sadly.

"I know you wouldn't hurt someone.Especially not a girl....If a girl tried-" She paused then pushed him back down and nuzzled her face into his neck. "- To do this you'd most likely freeze up." She teased him lightly,trying to change the sad atmosphere.

Artie Hopper Artie blinked a bit as he noticed the change in her expression and soon found himself on his back with Maka nuzzling his neck, causing him to blush bright red. "Y-Yeah...b-but I don't mind if you do this.." He replied blushing a bit more as he let her nuzzle him, liking the feeling of it.

Artie Hopper Artie blushed more as she questioned why before she started nuzzling the other side of his neck. He wondered why to as he searched his mind and blushed more when he felt her nibbling on his neck, but he didn't resist, and he figured out why. "B-because..I like you.." He replied honestly as he blushed a bit more.

Artie Hopper "I dunno when...It just happened without me realizing it.." Artie replied as he blushed still and blinked a bit as she started to get off of him. "N-No.. you can stay on, I'll be fine.." He assured her with a kind smile and hugged her gently.
