Rufus smiled and petted Clou to calm him as Jack smiled and signed off after saying. "I'll be in touch if we get anything else or any better news."

"Ok hun, dont be working too late now, you get cranky enough as it is without added stress."

Jack didnt reply and blushed slightly as he signed off. Rufus chuckled and looked down at Clou, "You're awake then huh, want to get something to eat ?"

Rufus smiled and nodded before planting a soft kiss on Clou's forehead,
"I can see why Skye love you so much, make us something to eat and I'll tell you all that Jack has told me thus far."

Jack: "Skye I want you and the team to go to the planet surface to the palace, we must convince the King there that Vertex is not someone that they want to become allied with."

Skye nodded and left the briefing room to gather up the others after taking a moment in his quarters and lightly sniffed his bed pillows taking in the scent Clou had left upon them.

Rufus nodded and smiled, "Yeah sounds great." He said as he stood up and walked over to the bathroom.
"I'm just gonna take a quick shower ok, teleporters always make me feel a bit icky" He said sticking out his tongue and making a face before slipping through the doorway.

Rufus walked out of the shower room with a towel around his waist and another over his head rubbing his headfur dry before sitting down and laying his bushy tail upon his lap and began rubbing it dry before going through it with a brush.

The white fox murred softly as the brush went through his fur and looked over the sofa back towards Clou in the kitchen. "How's it going in there hun?"

A white dropship landed on a landing pad with two white gunships either side of it as Skye and the others got out of the dropship in their best uniforms as they were approached by the Royal Guards.
"Good Morning gentlemen, may I ask you to hand over any of your weapons?"

Rufus looked over and got up putting the brush down on the coffee table and sat down opposite Clou with a smile on his face as his tail swished and swirled around behind him. He tilted his head in that typical canine like manner at Clou's question.

"Uhm...fine I guess, it's been so many years since I was changed I guess I never really took any time to truely think about it and simply just accepted it for what it was. There are some perks like, I can hear for at least three miles away, I can smell that you still have a trace of syrup behind your left ear, my sense of touch is more sensitive than before, the only real downsides is maintaining this fur." he chuckled

Rufus smiled and chuckled as Clou cleaned behind his ear in a sort of knowing manner. "No, the virus stopped once it had spread throughout the units of Strike and then for some reason simply vanished, back home there are still many humans and likewise throughout the universe."

Rufus also tucked into the omlette allowing sounds of satisfaction to escape his throat. "Mmm so good."

He looked at Clou again when he had asked about his parents again. "Unfortunatly they havent found out anything new about your parents other than what we already know but I'm sure they're working hard."

On the planet surface Skye and the team were escorted to the palace to the main throne room where they instantly caught sight of some representatives of Vertex.

"What are you abominations doing here?" One of them hissed.

Skye: "Now now, is that anyway to talk to a guest of the royal family?"

Skye and the others walked along the red carpet on the floor that led to the two Royals sat upon the thrones and stopped at the line drawn across the carpet and bowed respectfully.

"State your name and business here." belowed a man stood to their right.

Skye was the first to stand upright and removed his hat. "My name is Skye Blazer, General of Strike, Commander of Alpha squad Specialists Unit, my business is that I am here with the respects of my Commanders whom wish me to negotiate an alliance with us instead of Vertex, I also come seeking information about the young boy named Clou, these men are with me and are my assistants and personal guards."

It looked as though the man on their right was about to talk once again but the King raised his hand and then slowly stood up, the man in turn bowing and stepping back as the king decended the stairs and stood about an arm's length from Skye.

King: "You come seeking an alliance with us?"

"That is correct your Highness, it is the wish of my Commanders that we inform you of the flaws in having an alliance with Vertex and of the opportunities that come with having an alliance with us."

The King seemed to be amused or at least interested in what Skye had to say so far despite the disaproving looks from the Vertex ensamble.

King: "I will have a meeting with you this time tommorrow General Blazer and you may present your case about this alliance, as for the one you call Clou, I understand that your Commanders asked for time to present a case of their own."

"Yes your highness, we have evidence that suggests that this is not Clou's planet of origin therefore this planet's govering body has no claim on his life."

Once again the King seemed amused and smiled slightly before returning to his throne. "You are all dismissed until the morrow."

Skye and the team bowed before stepping back and walking out promptly.
"What do you think?"
Snow: "I don't like the smell of that Vicearoy."
"Me neither, keep tabs on him."
