I nodded and continued to cook. It wasn't hard but I focussed all my attention on it regardless. It was something that I could use to stay out of their way. I sighed a moment and gasped as I burned hand while picking up a pan. Needless to say the pan fell to the floor and I fell back startled while holding my hand.

That's when I ran to the ktichen, with an oven glove in hand and I grabbed the pan.
I asked, "You all right, Hotaru?"

I sat there clutching my hand to me as I watched Akira. When he asked me a question I nodded a little. "Yes, I think I'm okay." I responded looking down at my hand. It burned and I felt tears p***k the back of my eyes from the pain.

I said, "Shinichi, I need a bowl of cold water, stat!"
(Shinichi)
I ran to the kitchen, while getting a big bowl, and filling it up with cold water, and I set it near both Akira and Hotaru
(Akira)
I faced Hotaru. I said, "I'll handle the cooking. You just put your hand in the cold water for 15 minutes."

"But-! I..." I trailed off not sure how to argue with him. "I can take care of it." I finally said. I frowned and stared at my hand then up at Akira. It would only take a few minutes to heal myself but I didn't want anyone else to know I could do that.

I asked, with a bit of concern, and while looking at Hotaru's eyes, "You sure you're fine, Hotaru? I don't want anything bad happening to you again..."
(Shinichi)
I smirked. I thought, 'Kira-kun's never felt this way toward a girl before, and he's never been so forward to anyone else, even Sora.' I said, "You sure you don't have a crush on Hotaru, Kira-kun?"

I looked at Shinichi. My cheeks were turning beet red. I regained my composure and smiled mysteriously, "Who is to say? Only time will tell."
(Shinichi)
I groaned, "Why do you have to be so darn mysterious?"

I stared back at Akira as he spoke. Again? I was confused but then I remembered what happened at the school. I nodded. "Yes, I'm sure." I said. I reluctantly dragged my gaze away from Akira to look at Shinichi. A crush? No way! "He liked Saturn." I corrected with a small, guarded, smile.

I corrected, "I admire Saturn, Hotaru. I don't have a crush on her, despite my being a fan of her. Like I said, only time will tell."

I groaned, "Did I mention I hate it when you act mysterious, Kira-kun? You're no Tuxedo Kamen!"

"Only admire?" I asked in a taunting way. "If I recall you complained about waking up." I smiled and waved my injured hand then winced as pain shot through it. I glared down at my hand and then sighed.

That's when my cheeks burned a deep red. I stammered, "Well... I may have a LITTLE crush on her..."

I laughed so hard that I fell to the floor. I roared, "Ladies and gentlemen, Akira Kido has just uttered the understatement of the 21st Century..."

I smiled and then couldn't help but laugh along with Shinichi. I held my sides gently, leanining against the counter as I laughed.

I groaned, "That's not funny, you guys." That's when I said, "I only want to thank her for saving my life, and my soul, nothing more, nothing less."

That's when I cracked, "By kissing her on the lips?"
(Akira)
I smiled, "I just want to thank her in my own way, that's all."
(Shinichi)
I couldn't stop giggling. The thought that Kira-kun wanted to thank Saturn by kissing her was too funny and too romantic. That's when I cracked again, "Maybe you should give her a boquet of roses."
(Akira)
I raised my eyebrow, "Hey." I cracked, while smiling, "That could work."
(Shinichi)
I fell on the floor anime style, complete with my eyes being replaced by spirals. I groaned, "You weren't supposed to take that seriously, Kira-kun."

It was about that time when I shrugged. "Oh, I don't know. She might like to get flowers from someone." I mused. I sighed and started to clean up the mess I had made from dropping the pan.
