Edel blinked and looked down at the young boy, surprised more than anything. "What...?" she asked, but, hugged him back nonetheless. Poor thing...

"James!" Adon huffed, but wasn't able to do much bout his brother running his mouth. He had a feeling...that this wasn't the place they should be. Something felt...off. Edel looked like she didn't recognize either of them.
"Sorry Edel. I was just practicing some spells and...I don't know what happened. It was one of your books."

Edel just looked at him and blinked, and he knew something was off then.

"...oh. Well..." Edel began.

Edel looked down at him, and paused for a moment. Grandma Sandra? Wasn't that....

....

She blinked down at him again, then looked up towards the ceiling. Towards the level where Luke and Alex would be at right now. If...Sandra was Luke's mother...the only child she had that she could think of would be....Alex...

....

"...um...no, Sweetie, she hasn't stopped by lately." Edel replied, then picked the young boy up to carry him. "And you know...I have been bored. Why don't you tell me all about what you and your brother have been up to? Hm?" She said, then looked down at Adon, who looked as though he wasn't sure what to do. She frowned a bit at him. He didn't have the same aura as James did. It was almost...demi-god...but who would have Luke....

....

"...Adon, was it?"

Edel just walked with James, listening to him and hugging him back. The hugging had turned her attention completely off of Adon for the moment, who had contended with following Edel out of the room and down the hall. Cautiously looking around as they walked. The whole house looked...different. And wasn't she still working on getting her magic back up?

"Sounds like you've had a busy day, sweetie. How is Susie doing?" she asked.

"Really?" Edel replied, a coy little smirk suddenly wrapping around her lips. "I'll have to have a talk with CC sometime then. It's been a while since I've seen him." She said, then walked the two boys into a quiet, empty room. She sat James down, then waved her hand at the closet. A pile of toys, cars, dinosaurs, superhero dolls, coloring books, anything a little boy could want came falling out of the closet.

"Why don't you two sit here and play for a bit while I get you two some snacks, hm?"

Edel smiled warmly at the boy, then turned to leave the room. As she passed, she gave Adon one last, almost hard lookover. Adon stared up at her, and seemed to shrink back a bit. "S-sorry Miss Edel. I didn't mean to just pop us both in like this." he said.

"...it's alright. I'm just...afraid you may have done more than just teleport yourself from your house." she sid, then bent down to be eyelevel with him. "I notice you don't call me grandma, but you're this boy's brother..." she said quietly.

Adon's eyes widened. "Um...well...y-you don't..." he began, and Edel slowly shook her head no. Adon stared at her for a moment.

"That thing you two appeared on allows me to go between different realities and times. You two were the only ones in the room..." Edel said quietly.

Adon's eyes widened more. "Wait...does that mean...we're not anywhere close to home?"

"I'm afraid not...I've never met you two...and I'm afraid...they're not together yet." she said, looking back at James.

"...what...what about me? What about Atropos?" Adon asked.

Edel blinked and looked back at him. "...Atropos?" she asked.

"Y-yeah. My mom. Did she and dad-" Adon began, before the look on Edels face changed enough that it made him stop what he was saying and stare at her. "What?"

"...you are the Fate's son. The one that was just..." Edel began, then carefully looked back at the window, almost to make sure it was closed good and shut.

Adon's eyes widened. "She just what? What did she just do?" he asked. The few words Edel had said earlier about "different times" suddenly had much more of an impact for some odd reason. And why not. Daddy had told Adon all about the events surrounding his birth.

"Nothing..." Edel said calmly, soothingly. The look in her eyes though was everything but calm and soothing. Then she carefully stood up straight and started for the door. "I am...just going to go in and check on something. You watch your brother, alright?" she said gently, then moved to the door.

Adon just stared at her, not knowing what to think, or if he should be worried.


"Edel!" a very, very familiar female voice called from the hallway. "I need to talk to you!"

Adon's eyes widened, and he immediately turned towards James, knowing what was probably going to happen if-

Luckily, Adon had anticipated this, and was already in Jame's path. He grabbed onto his younger brother and did his best to hold him in the room. Of course, that didn't mean it would be for very long. It seemed the older James became, the more of Luke's genes he seemed to have. Adon had definitely noticed how strong he'd been the last time when James practically pulled him down the hall as he ran to get some fresh cookies.

"No! James, stop! Go back to coloring and...nh...and we'll....nnnh...stop pulling...." Adon grunted as he tried to hold onto the boy.

Adon heard Alex marching down the hall. And....another set of footsteps. Heavy ones. His eyes widened, and he started pushing James towards the closet again. "We're playing hide and go seek! They're it!" he said, trying to hide his younger brother.


Unfortunately...Alex was in a hurry to see Edel about Blackstone being in the house, and was within the doorway before Adon was able to get James very far. "Edel, I need to talk to you about someone who was in your house." she said, not noticing the two boys as of yet.
