Ayame looked slightly scared and more than a little surprised. "What, now?" She whispered, then grit her teeth. "Okay." She repeated in a normal voice. "I guess...I'm as ready as I'll ever be. Let's go."

He pulled her close to him and said "First you need to get used to being in water... so don't let go." He then let himself fall into the water, still holding her close, and sat there floating when he landed. He held her close as they floated and said "Tell me when you want me to let go."

Ayame blushed faintly as she shook her wet hair out of her eyes. "I'm fine." She said softly. "Just...don't go too far away, okay?" She pushed herself away from him slightly, her blue/green eyes wide.

Ayame floundered helplessly in the water, but she was too proud to ask for help. "I want to do this by myself." She thought stubbornly. "I am not helpless. I'm fine."

"Just relax and move your arms like your flapping wings and you'll just float or something." he said swimming over to her and holding onto her so she wouldn't drown.

"I...I don't think I can do this." Ayame admitted, although she followed his instructions perfectly. "Maybe I'm just not a swimmer." She bit her lip, and tried not to laugh as a thought crossed her mind. "I guess this means I'm not a child of Poseiden though. Oh well, that's a relief."

"You can do it if you try hard enough. Like I said... just don't flail your arms around like you've been stabbed in the eye with a poisoned dagger." he said swimming around her in a circle and smiling at her.

"Oh, thanks for that." Ayame said sarcastically, starting to slowly get the hang of swimming. Her hair fanned out around her as she narrowed her eyes in concentration. "Wow, look at me!" She said after a minute, her voice bitter but still unable to hide the excitement in her voice. "I'm swimming!"

Darien sat on a rock, hidden from the sight of anyone who might disturb her, and made the water into mist. She threw a dracum into it and prayed.
"Darien!"Her mom cried.
"Hi, Mom."She smiled.
"What have you been up to?"Her mom smiled back.
"Nothing much.I just found out my father is Poseidon when I accidently made a wave that crashed into Alex and yet he still hasn't claimed me but now I've learned to control the water fairly well."She said making a small horse figure in her hand.
"I'm sorry he hasn't claimed you and you are not just fairly good with your powers your fantastic."Her mom said lovingly.

"Yeah...sure." Ayame said. "Now can I get out now? Not that this isn't great and all, but it might be just too much of a good thing, you know?"

"No not realy... but you can get out whenever you want." he said diving underwater and for a minute. He came back up just to get air and smiled at her.

Ayame tried not to smile back, but she couldn't help it. "Well, thanks for teaching me." She said as she awkwardly made her way over to the dock. "I know it probably wasn't that much fun for you, but, well, yeah..." She trailed off, not sure what to say. "Thanks." She muttered after a minute, still clinging to the dock.

"No I had fun... it gave me something to do." he said swimming underwater again and popping up next to where she was clinging on the dock.
