Emma continued on, her footsteps making no sound as she drew closer and closer to the source of the ringing. Pointed, elven ears were particularly sensitive, but not to the point of pain. Not yet.

Ernst put out the cigarette he was smoking and crushed it nervously with his boot. He looked to the slightly parted doors. "I`ve a bad feeling about this", he muttered, watching as the ink eye followed the other two through the doors.
The inventor frowned and looked about. He was tense, nervous. This part of the city made him particularly uneasy. It made the slums of London look like Birmingham Palace in comparison.

"Can't do anything about that, I'm afraid...but perhaps we can still watch."
Working quickly, the inkmancer drew up a screen as well, linking it to the eye's senses. For a moment, there was nothing but static as the eye focussed on the two figures, resolving the image as best it can despite the interference.
Scribbler inhaled sharply at what she saw next.

The paladin put his hand on the door, and slowly opened it. He jumped back but saw nothing there. Then he saw a small silver and purple bead emitting power. "Uuuuuh where have I seen this before?"

"Well, I certainly haven't seen it before. This one's on you, my boy." Emma whispered as she fingered the blade which was still hanging comfortably at her hip.

The paladin looked thoughtfully, and touched it. He started shaking and fell, he dropped it; sputtering back. He recovered, and saw the glow getting brighter."We better run, now."

Ernst squinted as he tried to make out the images on the screen, for once completely putting aside his curiosity and his notes. He noticed a small circular object in the center, which seemed to emit a particular glow.
"That`s interesting", he said, trying to make out what it was. He looked to Scribbler. "Do you know what it is?" But, his eyes widened and his skin paled when he saw what an effect it had on the Paladin. "Mein Gott! They need to get out of there!" He looked to the doors, and after considering his options, he made for them to help the other two get out safely.

Emma was a second after Farkson, and she turned to sprint towards the doors.
But not quickly enough.

Scribbler had no such qualms. The eye dissolved into a round disk and she shouted through the screen, hoping it would project to the other side.
"Jump through the disk! Jump through the disk!!"
She pulled the screen larger, converting it into a portal with a little deft brushwork.

Almsot instantly something erupted out of the glow. It was a golem, and it height broke the roof of the house. It was different as it had a more humanoid figure, and was older looking.

Emma continued her mad dash towards the portal, elven agility failing her due to sheer confusion.
She still had not made it to the portal.

It was hard for Ernst not to be frozen in fear at the sight of the golem. Its sheer size and power was one to match every single battlefield adversary that he had faced during his service at war just a few years back.
But finally, the inventor found Emma. He firmly grasped her arm and tried to pull her towards the portal. "Emma! Let`s go! Schnell!" he said, his voice strong with urgency. But he would be hard put, since his knees were about to fail him as well if he did not get out of there soon. The sight of the golem was just too much for him to behold.

Scribbler took a deep breath to steady herself, then focussed on the disk; it peeled itself off the floor and swooped through the room, making it rather difficult to jump through... but that would not be a problem. She intended to direct it to scoop up the three that were inside.
"Hold still a moment, please!"

The Paladin jumped, narrowly missing being grabbed by it.
The golem hummed melodically, and all disguise magic was dispelled from the group. Along with any magic shield. The disk was fading, but still worked, Farskon jumped in it just before seeing that these golems where arising from all over the city, he saw a few more rising.
Farskon was horrified, and as he fell into the disk all he could muster was."Aaaaaaaaaaaaaugh!"

The portal was dissipating...but Scribbler still managed to sweep it towards Emma and Ernst even as Paladin tumbled out of the screen. They would likely land the same way he did if it still worked...just hopefully not on top of her.
"Ow. It's a good thing...you're small..."
