Rayna caught a glance as Hikaru sped past her, pausing her swinging for a moment. She smiled when she saw her at the sandbox and resumed her swinging, only pumping her legs faster than before. She got so high that she reached the pole. She smiled and looked down, beginning her countdown.
Three....two....one....
She then leaped off of the seat of the swing, cheering. For a moment, it seemed time stopped. She felt like she was flying. She closed her eyes for a milisecond, then looked down as gravity played its part and pulled her down as she fell. She gasped when she realized that her landing was going to hurt. She then surprised herself when she did a somersault in the air. She landed on her hands and knees with a THUD and blinked, her eyes a bit wide. For a minute, she wondered why it hadn't hurt so much and how she did the somersault. It then came to her. 'Oh, right....I'm a half demon.' she thought, frowning. She then stood up and looked down at her knees, which were a bit scratched up. She sighed, looking back up to see Hikaru sitting at the sandbox. She then beamed and waved enthusiastically, hoping to get her attention.

Finally getting her muscles stretched out to the point where she could move around easily again, Hikaru started looking around for somewhere that looked fun to play and relax for a little while after her hard training around campus. That was when she noticed Rayne leaping off the swingset.
"HEEEEEEYYYYY!" she called out loudly, waving to her as she made her landing. "Pretty good jump! I give it a seven out of ten," she said a little jokingly as she walked over.
"So, how are you doing, Rayna? Want a candy bar or drink or somethin'? I brought some stuff along with me," Hiko said, pointing back at her backpack.

Rayne glances over her shoulder as she hears cheering just in time to see somebody do a flip in midair and land with ease, something that should have hurt a human considering that take off. Rayne raises an eyebrow slightly, recognizing the faint demonic aura from this other girl. Not a pure aura, and not very dark, but it was there. There are.... other demons here? Somehow, this thought had not occurred to her. Rayne watches her for another moment, then sneers as the girl waves at somebody with far too much happiness. Bah, not a true demon. No true demon would be THAT happy. Rayne turns back away and takes another drag at her cigarette, only frowning more when she heard another person with her name. How unoriginal had her supposedly original name become? ((Aw um crap.... do we have two Rayne's here? Maybe I should change my chari's name then... sweatdrop ))

Rayna brushed herself off as she laughed, shaking her hair up a bit. She looked up to Hikaru, her eyes twinkling. "A candy bar would be lovely." she said. She stretched out her arms and yawned, closing her eyes and exhaling deeply. "Thanks. Kinda scratched up my knees, though. But it'll heal within a few hours. Since..." she trailed off, flicking one of her ears. The familiar jingle of her piercing filled the air, along with Rayna's chuckle. "That was a good jump..." she sighed, looking back to the swing.
Rayna's ears twitched, causing the earrings to once again jingle. She looked back to a tree some distance away. She tilted her head to the side in curiosity, her smile disappearing. "Someone's over there." she stated, holding her hands behind her back, leaning forward. SHe then scrunched up her nose a little, standing up straight. "Cigarette smoke." she said, frowning. She then smiled, cupping her hands to her mouth. "Hey, you, over behind the tree! Why don't you come out?" she called, smiling.
((No no, it was just a typo I made ^^; Her name's Rayna, not Rayne. Terribly sorry!))

Hiko smiled back at Rayna, walking over to her backpack and rummaging through it a little. She took out a few notebooks, setting them aside for the moment, and then came up with a handful of various types of candy, holding them out toward Rayna.
"Here! I brought a lot, since using my speed powers usually takes a lot out of me. Sugar's a pretty quick way to refuel, y'know?"
With her free hand, she fished an energy drink out of the backpack, using her thumb to open it one-handed. Taking a big chug of the drink, she leaned back slightly and smiled as she wiped her mouth with the side of her wrist.
"Whew! That sure tastes good." whee
Hiko then turned her attention to the tree Rayna was looking at, waiting for whoever was behind it to come out and join them.
"Hey! Is somebody over there? You want some candy too? There's plenty!" she called out, pointing to her backpack.

((Ah ok.)) Rayne winces slightly as the girl calls out to her. Either she felt her aura or just smelt the smoke, though it was rather far to smell smoke from. It might have been the later anyways, but just in case Rayne stubs out the cig, not knowing if it was absolutely illegal here or not, and steps out from behind the tree. Rayne folds her arms over her chest and flicks her tail in a threatening manner. She was dressed entirely in black, her eyes hidden by dark blue tinted shades and a hood to throw her face into shadows. "Happy?" Rayne asks, smirking slightly. She ignored the candy question, it had probably expired when they saw her. She was willing to bet the girl would regret having called her out.

Rayna grinned at Hikaru, looking at the candy. "Wow...you have the power of speed? Cooler than what I have..." she said, scratching her head, messing up her long, ruby red hair even more. She then pointed at a large chocolate bar, grinning. "May I have that?" she asked, grabbing it and holding it in her hand. She then turned her head over to the tree, only to find the girl standing there, smirking at her. She grinned, beginning to walk over to her. "Yes, I am." she said. "Would you like some candy or something?" she repeated Hikaru's question, motioning towards Hikaru with her other hand still behind her back. Her own tailed swished behind her.

Hiko nodded to Rayna, springing up from her seat as the new girl came out from behind the tree and approached them. She unwrapped a candy bar as she did so, chewing on it as she spoke.
"Sure, take whatever you want!" she said, turning to the other girl with a smile. "Hi there! You can have something if you want, too! My name's Hikaru, and this is my friend Rayna! You can just call me Hiko, though - everybody does."
She smiled brightly, extending her hand for a shake.

Rayne's smirk drops to a scowl as she flicks her tail in annoyance. Her eyes were confused, and luckily hidden from sight. Most people would stutter and run at her actions... but these two seemed unaffected. One even wanted to shake her hand. She had no clue how to react to this. For a moment Rayne didn't respond, but it was only a moment. Quickly Rayne regains her composure then raises an eyebrow. "No, candy is for children." She says coldly, ignoring the outstretched hand. Not much of a oh scary evil demon comment, but it was all she could manage to say after her first scare tactic failed.

Hiko shrugged at this, still smiling, and went back over to her backpack to shove her empty wrapper into one of the side pockets. Rummaging around a little more, she fished out a package of gummy worms and went to work eating those, also taking out one of her energy drinks.
"How 'bout an energy drink, then? It's the only other thing I've got in here - they're pretty good even if you're not working out. This one is one of my dad's special formulas!" she said cheerfully, holding the drink out toward Rayne.
Sitting back down and kicking her heels against the ground, she turned back to Rayna. "You shouldn't say your power's not cool," she said, chewing at one of the gummy worms. "I think having a healing power would be awesome! And it sure would help with all these scrapes," she muttered, rubbing at a sore spot on one of her knees.

Rayna had raised her eyebrows, but smiled calmly, none the less. SHe shrugged, shoving her hands inside her pockets, including the candy bar for later. "Not really. Adults eat candy, also." she replied cooly, once again tilting her head to the side. "It's fine if you don't want any. And don't worry- we won't tell if you were smoking." she added, scratching the back of her head. "Hiko's already told you our names," she said, looking back at Hikaru with a smile, then turning back to the girl. "What's yours?"

"Rayne." She answers begrudgingly to Rayna after a moment as she leans back against a tree again, her arms still folded. Something was seriously not right with these people... Rayne sighs slightly at the lack of fear shown demons these days, then accepts the energy drink offered to her, or really snatches it from her. "Fine. Thanks." Rayne twists the top off and takes a gulp of the drink then looks around.

Hiko smiled at Rayne as she took the drink, giving her an approving look as she began drinking it down. Dad would be so proud of her for pushing the product like that! The truth was, though, he really did make good energy drinks - she should know, after all. Packing up the rest of her candy and the spare drinks she took out earlier, Hiko made her way over to the swingset and began pumping her legs gently, slowly climbing in altitude and letting the breeze blow gently past her.
"Ahhh... this sure is relaxing!" she remarked to no one in particular, still within conversation range of Rayna and Rayne. whee

Rianna walked to the playground after some minutes of being in the Glass Violin. She walked towards the wooden building and look out the window of it. The somewhat splendor of the playground gave a her cheerful smile, but then her smile disappeared when she heard some voices from the past:
"I'm not going to believe you! You're lying!"
"I'm sorry, but I have no choice but to tell you."
"No! Mom did not die! She didn't!"

After playing around on the swings for a while, Hikaru made her way back over to where she had left her backpack. Zipping it up and throwing her empty wrappers in a nearby trash can, she checked the buckles fastening her rollerblades on, strapped it to her back, and began making her way back toward the dorms.
Maybe tomorrow I'll try even more weight! she thought to herself, grinning confidently.
