Alihi Kaua

Distinct Genius

PostPosted: Mon Apr 20, 2009 7:17 pm

Alihi stood, unmoving. She had seen people lose control before, and usually calming words would bring them back down to earth.
In this case, however, the tactician had not a clue what to say. Not only did she not know Ayra well, only knowing her by name, hearing that your love has gone insane and people were planning on fighting him would not sit well in any sane person's mind. She couldn't fully understand the pain, being that her closest experiences to this was with-- she didn't want to go into that right now. It wasn't important at the moment. What was important was the issue at hand.

She may have not been exactly in Ayra's shoes, but she had been close to. The tactician barely noticed her daughter's grip on her leg tighten in shock and fear; her eyes were focused on the blade, partly out and ready to be released at a moment's notice. She didn't want to provoke or upset Ayra in any way, but the last thing they needed was a fight starting up. She stood there helplessly, rooted to her spot as her child's grip continued to grow tighter. Both options (stopping Ayra or doing nothing) seemed terrible to her, and she thought desperately for some other choice of action; nothing came to her.

For now, all she could do was stare.

Renault blinked as the child was placed in his arms. Ayra. . . letting go of Vaherianslyeri? After something like that? That did not bode well. . . not at all. If she'd given Vah to him to hold, she was going to do something she didn't want to have Vah in the way for. . . and that wasn't good. Renault watched her anxiously for a moment. The woman's eyes glistened with barely-suppressed tears. Sorrow, or anger perhaps... and, by the Goddess, they were still in the next room planning how best to hurt Tibarn. In this condition, there was no telling what Ayra might-

And then, an angry roar split the room. This was something the Saint had seldom if ever heard; the complete loss of control and the release of an anger that would not stop until sated. He understood why; it was her husband who was in danger. But it was not Melethia's fault. It had been something that she couldn't help, that had been instigated by the dark god, he was nearly sure of it. This was a travesty about to occur; but he could not stop it. He looked sorrowfully down at the child he held in his arms; this child was the one he had to watch over at the moment. He couldn't help Melethia. All he could do was stand and watch helplessly as this scene unfolded before his eyes.

But it seemed all was going well for their enemy, at least. Even without help, they began to turn against each other, going at it like a pack of wild dogs with no leader. Which, at the moment, was basically true; they had no leader. Nino was somewhere in the house, but not here. Rath had gone missing. Tibarn would normally help to fill the gap; he had been taken from them. Unless Melethia was able to stop Ayra, or someone else could help, this would continue to spiral down until something stopped it with a shock.

Oujay was surprised by the suddenly roar that pierced through the room. "What was that," he thought as he looked around. Suddenly a woman marched into the room, with a look that did not look nice. "What going on," he thought as he wasn't sure if she was someone who was against all of them since he had never seen her before.

She points her sword at Melethia and then said words aloud that clicked everything together. "This man...that we are planning to attack is her husband," he thought to himself as he didn't move as she looked like she was ready to attack Melethia. "She must be taking this pretty hard," he thought as he continued to stand there and not interfere.

Oujay had a feeling things are going to turn out bad and interfering wouldn't help either, so all he could do is just stand there. Also, he didn't know anyone that well to be able to help out either, he is just a stranger to most of these guys in the room.

Dashing back with some wind swords, Nometal noticed people standing around, not moving. Then he noticed Ayra. Oh...this can't be good.

Looking over towards Alihi, he noticed that she wasn't doing anything. Uhh...come on think. How to help here? wait we need to...man I hate being someone who distracts. Tightening a grip on a wind sword.

A few minutes later, while everyone was talking about the plan, Ashnard finished cooking and brought some out to Blossom. He stood and listened to the plan, but couldn't really thing of anything better that wouldn't kill their precious sub-human king. Sub-Human? I made a vow to myself to start calling them Laguz.. Even if they aren't completely human....

Amara trembled slightly, her eyes set on the woman with the sword. She was afraid and very, very confused. Her eyes shut as her arms wrapped even tighter around her mother's leg for security.

Then, she heard a voice and felt a comforting hand patting her head. "Go run and explore", it said to her. And although she didn't want to comply, she did. She let go of her mother's leg and ran off.

"Miss... Arya." Sue trembled at the very presence of the swordmaster, purely because of the rage she displayed at the fact they were planning to attack Tibarn. "You must understand." the nomad tried to keep her composure, but it was very hard when she could clearly see the deadly blade out, ready to do business. "King Tibarn... isn't himself. We'd never plan to kill him. Never. He might have to get hurt but... we wouldn't take your beloved from you. We wouldn't take Vah's father away either..."

"Besides that, I have a way of reversing his condition, along with the others." Victoria walked in, and got the attention of everyone when she was still holding the tome. "This. It can reverse the effects this 'venom' has on people's minds. The reason we need to attack... is so we can knock him out. Otherwise, it doesn't work. I'm sure whatever we do is nothing the magic of my staff can't handle." The last part, the bishop seemed especially proud of.

By this time, given an ample distraction in the form of Ayra's sword, Rhys had managed to quietly slip around Ayra, out the front door during the shouting, run around to the kitchen door, and get in through there.

Melethia would probably be fine if she explained herself. ...Probably. But in any case, Rhys had other matters to attend to, and if she hadn't been in the lounge, that meant she was likely in the kitchen--and so she was.

Out of the range of Ayra's vision, Rhys flapped his arms to get Amelia's attention. "Can I ask you something," he said in a whisper as she got close. "Can you explain... what happened at the end? Between you and Rei?"

It might've been a thoughtless gesture to ask how you barely escaped Death's grasp, but he believed Amelia suffered no trauma whatsoever from her encounter. She'd been too strong to have any of that bother her.

(Um... if Ayra and Mel are in the kitchen as opposed to being right at the edge of it, then my bad.)

There was a sudden gasp and shouting heard from the inside of the manor and Ephraim immediatly sat up. He looked to the door and got to his feet, dashing past the door back to the hallways, retraced his steps to the kitchen only to come to an image of people cowering against the wall and in the center was Melethia, the girl he had first seen when he arrived and someone new with a sword pointed straight at Melethia's throat.

He had come in a split second after Victoria did and barely heard what happened aside from the fact that the tome she held was able to reverse the effect on their friends, he didn't hear anything else before that.

A roar pierced through the air freezing Chad in his place for a second. A moment later a new face, a swordmaster by the looks of things, had stormed in drawing her sword at Melethia. Accusing the Mel of planing to kill her husband.

Dropping his bread Chad moved quickly next to the two women hand on his killing edge ready to draw if things got ugly. "I'm sorry but you have misundestood what was being said. No one here has any plan to kill you husband, it is the last thing any of us want. We have a way to bring him back, however it requires us to render him unconscious. I understand you're upset, distraught even, but attacking Melethia is of no use to Tibarn. You can not help him this way!"

Aran was now eating toast, some of the eggs Ninian had made and some pancakes from Ashnard. He usually ate a lot, he needed it though being a Soldier and whatnot. As he saw Ayra enter the room, right when they were discussing about how to take down Tibarn he nearly choked on his food and had to hit his chest a bit to regain his composure

Aw heck, I'll be grateful if she ends up fighting with us but the fact that Tibarn's gone all evil won't work at all.. And hold up, is she pointing that sword-Ohshi- Aran swallowed his food, got up and even though several other people were trying to talk Ayra out of it he still had to act.

"Ayra, Mel didn't do it herself, some weird reptilian like figure named Asami was dragging people into the shadows and making them go berserk. Asami is the one you can unleash your rage on once we get to her." Sweat dropped down his neck, hopefully the Swordmaster would listen to reason and put away her sword.

"Why would I kill Tibarn?" Melethia said in a serious tone. "I respect him. To think that I would want to kill him is a stupid idea. I'm not my darkness! I've never been able to control Asami! So why are you blaming me for what my darkness did!? We were making a plan to knock him out so that we can heal him. You know better than anyone how hard it is to knock him out. He's the hawk king for a reason!"

Amelia had not expected Ayra to start screaming. She had heard Renault saying something to Ayra, pulling her aside, but she hadn't been paying enough attention. Then her shriek, and accusations to Melethia, and a sword was being drawn-- wait, what? Ayra was pulling her sword?

...s**t.

She felt herself rise to her feet, ready to try to make Ayra calm down -- they weren't talking about killing Tibarn, heavens no -- but before she could even formulate some sort of intelligent answer, Sue and Victoria had reached her, and then Rhys was addressing her, and... she left the task of calming the swordswoman to the others. "Can you explain... what happened at the end? Between you and Rei?"

Amelia looked over at Rhys, a slight pained expression flashing to her face at the memory of the end of that battle. She still felt she could have beaten him, but once again, naivety beat her out and the desire to help him let him get the upper hand once again. It was gone as soon as it was on her face, though, and she nodded quietly to him. "Let's... um, get to another room. Quieter place." Amelia gestured for Rhys to follow and left the kitchen soundlessly, praying mentally that the others could help Ayra. If anything, these developments hit her the hardest, along with Nino and Ninian, and perhaps Alihi.

Blossom stayed right where she was at the table, food ignored. She stared at Ayra with wide eyes, seeing the slight glint as the sword began to unsheathe, her shouting words pounding right to her eardrums.

"M-Miss Ayra...! It wasn't her fault! She didn't try to do this!" Blossom protested, finding herself on her feet. When did that happen? "And we don't want to kill Tibarn! We would never do that to you, or to Vah, or to him! Please, just... put away the sword! We can talk about this!"
PostPosted: Tue Apr 21, 2009 3:20 pm

"Ayra, if we would kill Tibarn, then we would lose a valuable ally. What Mel said is true. We just need to knock him unconscious for sometime so we can purge him, so would you kindly put your blade away, or I will bring my blade on you." Walking over, his hand on his blade.
