((Everyone knows of Raziel. They just don't know it. Raziel was the Guarded of Phantasmah. But everyone thinks Raziel is dead. No one knows him by appearance, only by name.))
((Well, suffice to say, the group made their way toward the Reimli. I induced a giant spider attack in the Sylstern, resulting in Reign, Holly, and Falian being injured in various ways. They flew, with Alhiria, on to the medical area that Harlin says he has. Shef and Kiki broke off with the group for a while, but soon returned. Then they all (sans the people at Yemits' battle site) crossed the bridge. The giant wave came, and now all humans in that party are on Raziel's island. All Guarded on the bridge are now at the edge of the Reimil, including Regond, who was last posted as by myself as fluttering up to a tree branch and saying how they should proceed to the place he saw Alhiria fly from. Hopefully, there would be medicine there to help him recover his strength and thus change form.))

Sometimes, when I'm sitting in my bedroom...
All ALONE... in the DARK...
I sometimes look up at the stars and wish I was them.
All ALONE... but in plain SIGHT...
But then I think of something...
.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.((Awe, is it that boring, Beams?)) Floreta blinked. "Hm." She looked back to the inner part of the forest. "Well... I guess we should catch up with the others then." She was not looking forward to seeing Marina again. What if the girl yelled at her again? Floreta would end up tearing up in front of her teacher a second time. The wind-master didn't know if she would able to take it. ---- Reign was silent for one long moment. So long that it grew kinda awkward between the two. When she still didn't speak, one wondered if she had heard Holly at all. "You're a gutsy little girl, I'll give you that," the huge stated finally, turning her body slightly to look down at Holly, her form towering over the girl. "And smarter than most. I'll give you that too. But there's one thing you forgot." Something akin to dread - as if she knew what was going to happen for sure - flashed across her eyes, and she looked away. "You don't know Falian." She's a spiteful one, she is.Picking herself up onto her feet and raising herself to her full height, Reign padded away, fighting so hard against the limps in her back legs. Her tail curled to hide the scarred flesh and the bald spots from view. They would recover and heal, but not for a while. Thank you anyway. .x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.
It's really strange, I think...
When they're up there...
They're all ALONE. In the DARK. But everyone can SEE them...
It's strange when I look up at them...
Because they kinda remind me of YOU.
"Look at the stars. Look at how they shine for you."

Without an unnecessary word in reply, Harlin walked after Floreta, going through the obstacle course in order to get to the room where everyone else seemed to be.
Holly shuddered slightly as she felt Reign's hot breath come down on her. When she had left after she was done talking, she exhaled in relief.
But she didn't like the look in the great wolf's eyes, nor the way she toned her last words. Almost as if she were afraid, not just guilty. Almost.
Forcing herself to breathe normally, she looked down to see that her hand had completely healed. There was only a pale white scar splitting off in three directions where her hand had been destroyed.
Looking back up, she was surprised to see Narissa, fins held tightly against her body, slither out from the trees and into view.
"You look better," Narissa said, almost amusedly accusing. She spat something out onto the ground, a lumpy and dirty blob that could only be described as Shef's former backpack.
Holly raised her face, looking up at Narissa under her eyelashes. Do I want to know...?

Harlin saw Shef and whoever else was up there standing around as they watched Raziel busily lift an extremely tall ladder with one hand--a feat no ordinary person could do--and set it against the wall, which led up and through the roof to a higher house, farther up in the trees. While this was just a room, the building up above was an entire home. Raziel's home. Once there, anyone would be able to see, from the tall vantage point, that they were currently existing on an island, uncharted because no islands were charted, not far from what appeared to be the mainland. The mainland was hardly visible, even so, but what was more appalling and confusing was that the River Nanne did not empty out into the only known ocean. The Nanne was west of Gagazth. The Amanthe, which existed east of Gagazth, happened to be the only known ocean. It was full of all manner of creatures, some dangerous, some beautiful, some mysterious, and many others any combination of the three and more. The island was small enough, but because it was a dome shape, this made it impossible to see across from one side to the other. Because Raziel did not seem perplexed in the slightest by the humans' arrival, it was safe to conclude the old man was expecting this.
The man proceeded to climb up into his abode, even though he did not look strong enough to do so, where the others were expected to follow. Although wooden (seemingly), the house above was very sturdy and well-furnished. There was no plumbing or electricity--none of Earth's conveniences--but a plant in one corner of the main room dripped into a faucet consisting of its own large leaves dripped water. It was well-known among the knowledgeable as a plant that took water from the very air and produced excess, which happened to be very beneficial to most life. The plant was also extremely bitter, inedible to most life forms, as well. The furniture was wooden but comfortable, simple but efficient. The color scheme was drab--lots of wood of different colors, and brown or oily white fabric of unknown material equivalent to an ordinary linen. There were cupboards and chests, bookshelves and such, and separated rooms.
Raziel, who was only known as the old man to his guests, seemed to be set up pretty nicely. While Shef and others gazed around at all of this, they could also notice Raziel busily pulling out make-shift bowls of plant material with wooden utensils and setting them about. He then used a ladle to fill each of these with a porridge-like substance, with the color of oatmeal, steaming hot and emitting a strange, inviting smell. The food did not happen to taste exceptionally well, but it possessed special properties that would energize and rejuvenate the youths (and Harlin). After the consumption of this food, Raziel, who hummed softly to himself, would inform them of the reason of their presence, here.
One last note: Any observant person would notice a certain luster of Raziel's skin, and the lack of wrinkles or warts or such. His skin seemed flawless, if aged somewhat, and though one would not realize it without touching, his hair was as silk, his eyes crystal-clarified, and his movements strong and reassured. Raziel seemed to have aged without having his body depreciate in any way. He was neat and tidily groomed, and emitted no strange smells or noises.

But then I think of something...
.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.Marina blinked, now officially curious. Changing into her cat form, she jumped up onto the table and gingerly began to sniff around the bowls and spoons, sniffing the air above the food. "Smells..." she murmured. "Gingery. Hm..." Taking advantage of Razien's silent offer, she settled herself next to a bowl and looked at it hungrily, but made no move to eat it. It was still too hot for her tastes. Floreta lingered near Harlin, having followed close behind him. She took great care to avoid Marina's gaze, and stayed a suitable distance away from the other Guarded. She instead used the time to look around. Then, against her better judgment, she spoke softly. "This is... a very nice place," she commented, gazing around before looking over at Razien. "Do you live here all alone... Sir?" ----- Reign walked through the massive halls of the white building - one that was furnished more like a cathedral than anything - it was certainly large enough. Made that way to make room for all the monstrous Guardians, she supposed. Almost grudgingly, Reign made her way to Falian's room, and peeked in. The girl was still deep in sleep. Her Guardian's ears twisted to flatten against her head. "Falian..." Then the girl grunted, and moaned softly, shifting where she lay. But she didn't wake. Reign didn't know this, having vanished from the hallway. .x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.

zfatal ((Yes, chuckle chuckle. Shef happens to be a bit conceited, thank you. << )) As Shef wandered away from Kiki (who may just be his temporal soulmate), following or attempting to follow that damn cat, he got lost. Again. Where the hell was Regond? Probably enjoying a worm, or something, for breakfast. Wait, don't owls eat rats? Not worms, that is true.
He's probably eating a worm anyway, Shef thought satisfactorily. He was lucky in that the thirteen anthills he had already plowed through were currently vacant, since the trip in the river. Try as he might, Shef could not find that infernal backpack, nor the chocolate within.
Although he wasn't thinking about it himself, if asked Shef would agree that the results of so much sugar entering the body of someone like Kiki would be simply disastrous. Annoying is the word Shef would have used, however.
Shef ducked under a large branch. These trees seemed to be getting larger, he reflected. Was it that-
Shef gasped at the sight he had come across. A giant dragon, wrestling with a... with Yemits, whatever he was. Calentine, Raye, and that other duo were standing on the sidelines, watching.Calentine had been aware of both Shef and the spider-guy's approach, even though his back was to them. He was aware of everything, especially in Ether.
Instead of stopping to chat, however, Calentine suddenly bolted. He was up in the trees before anyone even realized it.
"Onstaan," Calentine said softly, knowing that his Guardian (and probably the other one, too) would hear. "I don't have time for this. When you're done mating with this turtle, find me in the Reimli."
Then Calentine was gone. With a slight tinge of annoyance, given who had gotten him into this situation and who was now insulting him and leaving him, Onstaan ignored Calentine, but did pull away from the half-wrestle half-strangle he had been trying to inflict on Yemits.
"This fight is pointless," the dragon said. Both creatures were so massive that it was likely going to end up a stalemate... in a year or two. Onstaan was already tired of fighting. Not exhausted bodily, but lazy. "You are powerful. A good protector for the forest."
Onstaan, it seemed possessed a sense of nobility and respect for others.
