Ruque had grown used to Saki already during the few weeks that they had been in this world, and he was following Miyu around, almost as if he were her apprentice, trying to learn everything he could from her about medicine and magic. She was something of a hero to him ... the way she was taking care of the children.
He just hoped that he wasn't getting in the way or anything.
"Those are pretty wings," one of the children smiled up at Miyu. "Where did they come from?"

"Uhm...." Miyu had to think about that, "I always had wings... mi...."
Well to be technical she was born with them, but they never grew big. They were still the same size from when she was a child, which meant small wings really.
She had Ruque helping her by getting things, since he was always so helpful. Miyu in a way felt comfortable around Ruque but probably because he was a quiet type.

The children were transfixed with everything around them. The house itself, Saki, Miyu ... all of it was so new to them. And of course, with Ruque there, who was distinctly an elf, but yet so different from them, even he was getting his fair share of attention.
Eventually, though, Haradhel took the children for food and baths, two by two, and despite the fact that it was still early in the day it wasn't long before all of the children were fast asleep in warm beds.
Ruque was a little tired too by that time. He wasn't used to such things as this - he'd never had more than just one person to take care of at a time.
"I think I'm ready to go home," he said sheepishly after the last of the children had dropped off to sleep. "Aunt Haradhel, do you know where Alyse is?"
Haradhel nodded. "And I think Donovan wanted to come with you as well," she said softly.

"Mi..." Miyu poked her fingers together, "Grandfather went to take a nap a long while ago, but he won't mind being woken up. He's a light sleeper and doesn't like to have his sleeping patterns all strange."
Miyu only knew this because in some ways it reminded her on her father (only he at more social skills around family).

Ruque smiled warmly up at Miyu. "Can we go get him then?" he asked politely, clasping his hands behind his back. "I'd really like to go home ..."
He glanced towards the door. He would have to get Alyse as well ... she was probably at the barracks by this time.

Miyu giggled, he looked so cute like that, "Of course, we can just go up to his room and knock on his door."
She doubted it would be too difficult as she motioned for Ruque to follow her upstairs.

Ruque's eyes shone brightly, and he skipped happily after Miyu. "Thanks!" he said cheerfully and sincerely.
He was glad that they had moved here. He liked being around other people. Sure he still loved being with his mother, and learning from her, but he liked the interaction and the variety of people that were here.

Donovan's room was at the end of the hallway, which was where the master bedroom for the area the family stayed on was. She knocked lightly knowing it wouldn't take much, for some reason he was light sleeper.
It was only a moment or two later that Donovan opened the door, running his hand through his hair. He actually hadn't looked like he went to sleep, he was dressed as he usually was minus the coat, but then again Donovan was the type to dress then open the door.
"Hey, all the kids looked after?" he hadn't expected Miyu to come knocking.
She nodded several times before adding, "Ruque is ready to go home and you said you'd come."
"Oh.. yea, just like me go get my coat," he murmured.

Ruque smiled up at Donovan. "I was a big help," he said proudly. "I got things for Miyu and I talked with the kids and made them feel welcome and at home here. I didn't do any medicine though, Miyu did all of that, and that's probably a good thing, because Mama says I'm not ready to do that all by myself yet ..."
He followed Donovan into the room as he grabbed his coat, still chattering away about how much he liked being here and helping out.

It was like listening to Celebor all over again, Donovan couldn't help but think with a smirk as he left his room. He waited for Ruque to follow before closing the door to his room.
"Is there anyone else we need to get before we go?" Donovan asked Ruque.
He was pretty sure it wasn't Miyu who brought him here.

"Yup!" Ruque beamed up at Donovan. "Alyse! She took me here! She said she was going to be in the barracks this evening, so maybe we should start looking for her there. I don't know who she was visiting, but she didn't visit anyone while we were here so maybe it's one of the people who was gone with you?"
Not that he knew any of them, he had barely even seen them as they had returned. He had been too preoccupied with the children.

Donovan had to run through all the times, for within the nearly two years since he decided to found Haven there had been a lot of births (or as he tended to call them spawnings). It clicked in which Alyse was and he decided he didn't know her well enough to figure out whom she was visiting.
"I have no clue," he murmured heading back down, "There were a lot of people with us, and who knows who she could be visiting."

"We could knock on all of the doors," Ruque suggested, "wouldn't that work?"
Then they would be certain to find her sooner or later!
"Do you know where all the rooms are for the people who went with you?"

"And what if they're still asleep?"
Donovan wasn't sure, though he was sure Browne would at least be sleeping at this time.
"Well... I guess we could at least try those we know will probably be awake," he muttered.

Ruque blinked. "Asleep?" he questioned. "Why would they be asleep? It's day time still!"
But then he remembered - Donovan had been asleep. Maybe they were all tired out, too ...
"Well, I guess we'll just have to see," he shrugged, following Donovan closely.
