"If he knows my mother cares for him, he wouldn't worry about being replaced. She'd never give him up. Does he really not know that?" She wasn't sure if she believed it or if she was more likely to believe that Khaiver was just playing along with her mother's game because it amused him. She'd seen him smile and laugh before. Sometimes she'd even heard her mother laugh along. "What if I can't rule my people well? They'll over throw me, won't they?" she asked quietly.

Broog shrugged.

"Dey might try. but yous be da one in charge, yous has da bashers. yous bash dem, dey not try again."

broog was devouring something that looked like a leg of something. lamb or the like.

"da master care for lots of da servants. dey elves and dey works hard. but dat don't mean he not get rid o dem or repayce dem if dey not please."

Now the program was getting messed up. "No. No Broog, that's not how things need to work. That's how they already work in a way and that needs to be different or she'll be the same exact queen that her mother is." Playing on the girl's vanity was always a nice trick. "Discipline does not need to be horribly harsh. It can even foster more bad or disobediant behavior." Turning a look back to the girl after taking a drink of his wine. "No one is truly born knowing how to rule their kingdoms. We all have to learn. Long as you learn and you keep learning and you learn the right way, you will be a good leader and your people will be happy."

Krymsyn was about to say much the same thing to Broog but she didn't have to. Master Tyyrael seemed to have faith in her and that made her feel much better about it. Trys had faith as well since they'd talked about this very subject loads of times. "And you'll help me, right?" Krymsyn reached out and took the man's hand, squeezing it and looking imploringly into his eyes.

And now it was going too far. Granted she was just a child and didn't have a whole lot of understanding of what she was doing and Ty was hardly affected by it in a way that was sexual. But all of that being true didn't change the fact that Krymsyn was attempting to use her feminine wiles to get her own way and cause problems. And Lhia wasn't having it. "We all will," she said cheerfully then signaled for the bill and patted Krymsyn's hand before she could go any further with what she was trying to do. "I think we've taken up enough of this innkeeper's space, don't you?"

Broog just shrugged.

"Dats how da Ogres does it. da strongest is da leader. and he only da leader as long as he da strongest."

but he heard Lhia, and got his lumbering self up, though he didn't know exactly how to pay this time since there wasn't someone to barter with. so he rubbed his head and opened his trunk and tossed out a few peices of jewelry on the table.

"Dat right, so broog no get yelled at gain?"

That was very very creepy and unsettling, it really was. The little one was already knowing too much of the world of womanly power as it was and it was just plain uncomfortable for her to be trying it on him. Luckily, Lhia was there to save him and he cleared his throat, getting over his mild shock. "Yes, we'll all help. Plane has to work together after all."

Nodding to Broog as he was deciding to take care of the bill apparently. "That's right Broog, you won't get yelled at. And thank you." Ushering them all out and waiting for Broog in tow before turning to the ogre. "If you are staying on the plane for the night, you can stay at my home if you wish. We're heading back there anyway as Krymsyn desperately needs to show off her dress. The bigger the audience I'm sure the better."

"Broog stay till shinee fabric dress dun to take backs to da mistress."

So he lumbered along behind everyone else, not dragging his trunk this time but holding it on one hand with it slung over his shoulder. but a thought occured to him.

"Broog..fit in house? Broog much bigger den da elves."

The child's face reflected her displeasure at the turn of the situation and she correctly surmised she no longer held the power. That other woman did now and Krymsyn didn't like it. "Yes, you should come and see my dress. I picked a necklace to wear with it from your chest. And so did she." Pointing to Lhia. "Don't you want to see how pretty they look, Mister Broog?" Time to force Lhia to have to try on that dress. She'd be embarrassed and Master Tyyrael wouldn't think she looked pretty at all. She knew the surface elves couldn't really make the Obsidian styles work for them. Too little fabric and they just didn't carry them off right.

If Broog acted at all excited about what Krymsyn had said, then she was stuck. She wouldn't happy about it, but she would be stuck. Lhia crossed her fingers, said a quick prayer to Aliah that all would work in her favor and began ushering everyone out onto the street once again. Then, just in case, she added a quick prayer to Treddian and Safiya to up her chances.

Broog had the very distinct feeling he was being baited for something. that the black woman wanted him to say something in particular. and it showed in consternation on his face. But he gave nod of his head.

"Broog always like to see da pretties on da girlies. dey look da nicest, and den dey always wans more of broogs shinies for dem."

and he hoped he said the right thing. Cause he was confused that one seemed to be enjoying herself and the other seemed a bit uncomfortable. of course Broog had no idea of the kind of dress Krymsyn had picked out for Lhia, either.

"Yes, you will be able to fit. I like spacious places to do my living in." But it seemed they were back to their original 'mission' of the day, which was playing to the vainity of one little princess. "Alright then, seems fair enough. Let's not waste too much time as you know us old elves get tired sooner." Not really but putting a sense of urgency to the little ones helped stop the procrastinating. Soon enough they were back home and he had the job of arranging things and moving them so the girls had plenty of show off room and he, Broog, and Trys had 'front row seats' so to speak.

Lhia's heart sank but Krymsyn's smile grew extremely bright as she nodded happily to Broog. He'd said exactly what she wanted him to and now Lhia was stuck. She'd have to wear the ill-fitting dress and Master Tyyrael wouldn't like her anymore. Krymsyn danced her way back home and up to the room she was using at Ty's house, excitedly getting out her pink dress and pulling it on. Made of skintight leather, it showed more than it covered, leaving deep slashes at her waist and almost all of her back bare. The leather just brushed the tops of her thighs and she wore high boots that came to just below her knees. Thin straps tied through an oval ring held the dress around her neck and left just enough room for the pink pendant to hang without being covered. She'd wanted Lhia to go first but just couldn't stand to wait and waltzed out with a grin, curtsying prettily and smiling at the males.

Studying what she'd hardly call a dress, Lhia tossed the offending garment onto the bed and pulled a green sheath out of her closet, slipping it on instead. The material, shot through with blue and yellow, gathered into a knot below her throat forming a halter top and then fell gracefully around the curve of her hips to brush below her knees. No unsightly bulges, no excess of skin showing, she pulled on the bracelet Ty had purchased for her, waited for Krymsyn's signal, and stepped out.

Broog tilted his head lightly, looking between both women. Broog wasn't really effected by the showing of skin...he'd seen enough for that to not really be much to him. he still enjoyed it though, and gave what he knew was the desired cat-callish grunt that Ogres gave. but if the dark one had picked out the light ones dress...the styles were so different. it didn't make sense to him that one would pick out a dress for the other and not try for a style they liked.

"Why do da cloths not have same look? dark one not tink her look be good on da udder one? not want...copy look?"

Inappropriate for a child was an understatement, he knew that much. Of course where she lived that was probably more than appropriate with the way things were now. But he didn't betray his thoughts on his face and merely gave a smile to the girl, making a fuss somewhat just as Broog was doing too, with various strung quick compliments.

Though his eyes did move to Lhia...he was more used to seeing her in uniform and it always surprised him how she looked when she was being 'off duty'. She got a gentler smile from him as he gave her a quiet once over. "Beautiful." Though he made sure to slide his eyes as he said it so Krymsyn could take it as a compliment for her as well.

Perhaps oblivious to the deception that one had pulled on the other, he turned a look to Broog at a seemingly innocent question. "Women are complex creatures when they dress for their own sakes, Broog, they don't like to look like one another usually. When they look different from each other, they stand out and sometimes get more attention that way."

But Krymsyn was staring in horror. She pointed her finger at Lhia and sputtered angrily. "What is that ugly thing? Where's the pretty dress I picked out for you? That's not it! It's not." Stamping her foot angrily and running towards Lhia.

She saw the intent in the child's eyes and grasped her fists before she could tear the delicate fabric. "Krymsyn, that dress isn't meant for women like me. It's meant for women like you, with thin bodies and..." Lhia was struggling now because Krymsyn was just a child and had no womanly assets at all. "This is what dowdy older women wear. Things like this that cover us all up."

But Krymsyn wasn't listening. She jerked back, her eyes aglow with the fire of hatred. "Go put on the dress that I picked out for you. Now."

Sighing, Lhia thought it best to just keep the child happy. "Alright. I'll go put it on." It took her a bit to figure out just how the silly thing went but she finally managed to get it over her head and somewhat settled on her body. Lhia winced at her reflection in the mirror and resisted the urge to cover herself. Instead, she walked out with her head held high even though she was quivering inside. She didn't even want to see Ty's reaction, either.

Broog frowned at the altercation. see he knew it. but when Lhia came back, broog titled his head. a surface elf in a obsidian garb was not overly bad looking. rather nice looking. But since krymsyn made a big deal of it, Broog made a big deal of inspecting Lhai, lumbering around, and taking in her look.

"Light elf look good. look...appeal..umm...word...saxy?"

scratching his head....before looking at the other one.

"Dark elf saxy too. both da lady elfs is da saxy."
