True. I try and stick with the main branch, as far as comics go, but I have no idea where to even begin. I looked at the comic aisle once, and was so lost.

I go in with other people sometimes and feel like a fish out of water. I just sorta stand there and try to stay out of everyone's way. I don't know where to even start.

It really is hard to try and get into something when the story's so far along, and you're not sure where to even begin!

Think of it as the bird flu, but for 2009. There was an outbreak, and people are fearing that some might die from this. Mainly, the old and children are the most at risk with this. And it takes about a week or so to fully fight it off, though medicine will help it leave your system faster.

I might sound crazy but it is just a really bad case of being sick right? It is still just like the common flu, except the flu originates from an animial that humans are not used to and have no vaccines for right? question question (I don't know much about the bird flue either....I am so naive....sad crying ...)
Also, I found out that the last time there was a flu outbreak, it was under a democratic president and we have a democratic president. I thought that was interesting since the news in the cafeteria was talking about it and my friend pointed it out. smile

Don't know about that. but the swine flu's just a new strain of the influenza virus that we don't have an adequate defense against, so the likelihood of getting sick from it is higher.
I'm pretty sure the bird flu and west nile virus occurred during the Bush presidency, but that's all just coincidence if you turn out to be right.

You can eat pork. Just make sure it's nice and safe, okay?

I heard today they have closed some schools in California and the confirmed cases are in Texas, California, and New York. Texas and California I understand, but New York?

New York has some of the biggest cities in the world, with people from all walks of life. There'd be a high chance of spreading up there.

I suppose that makes sense. A lot of travel goes through there, too. I had just expected it to spread to states adjacent to Mexico first and then to spread upward.
I did read that the death rate seems to be dropping rapidly in Mexico, possibly indicating that the worst is over. Do people just get worked up over things too easily?
