Anyway, down to business.
I was thinking of making an rp based on the manga "Battle Royal."
It'll have it's own battle system (which I'm still perfecting) too. If you didn't know, battle royal is about a class of 9th graders that have been put on an island to fight each other to the death. I want real world physics so no god modding. If you haven't read the manga and you're interested in reading it, I'll put up a link for it later. I'll only set it up if people have read the manga though sooooo....
I'll think of another RP if you guys don't like an RP based off of Battle Royal.

Not to be compared to the manga, you know how those things works, but it also had a movie and it was pretty entertaining!
Yay for Battle Royale and for getting the reference! heart mrgreen
Oh and...it worked!!!Looks like too much time in the underground trap makes people go insane...oh why am I not affected? I already was... twisted

Well, since we don't have that many people active let's focus on a smaller scale. I found the back cover.  Nobody has answered my question. Those who have read the manga or seen the movie would you guys like to try an rp of it? Also how many are interested but haven't seen the movie or read the manga? By the way, the movie was good, but I don't think it was as good as the manga. There were changes in the movie that I really didn't like. Kiriyama was a cold and silent killer, but in the movie he was just killing for kicks.

That's what I meant when I said it was not to be compared to the manga. Well technically you can compare them, but you know, there's that difference when you adapt things.
Before joining or not I was wondering, would we take the actual characters of the story or just invent a new class of students?
What about the weapons and that system you were working on?
Because I'm afraid there wouldn't be enough people to play the roles for all of the students if we go choosing characters(unless someone plays lots of them which is Sparta MADNESS). Also there's the "that character wouldn't do that" situation happening in all RPs, but that's less important.
Oh and by the way unless it's something taking too much work I'm willing to help! ^_^

We're inventing our own. I'm thinking of using the dice as an encounter system. If you roll a certain number, you get attacked by another student. If you roll another number you continue on walking without encounters. Another number for a student who doesn't want to fight. You'll have HP and will be using the random number generator to attack. If you die then it's the end for your character, but if there are still surviving students left then you can take control of them instead. When that happens you have to make up a new character. You only get one weapon at the beginning. You can make up what ever weapon it is, but I have to approve it and it has to fit a duffel bag. You can increase your attack after you killed a another student and picked up whatever weapon they were using.

Random number generator to attack and for the damage you take.
What is the standard HP for a student? and the initial attack power? are they all going to be the same to be fair?
And we just randomly invent the weapon the student we find is wearing? ( no god modding of course)

As we get to less people the students who don't want to fight will decrease.
I'm thinking of making the HP either 10 or 15. I don't want battles to be too long or too short.
the initial attack is 1-3.
If you get the same number then you have a chance to escape if you want.
Once you defeat the student and decide to take their weapon, you have two choices.
1. increase your base hit EX: 2-3
2. increase your max hit EX: 1-4
If you get hurt use your 1 time use med kit in your duffel bag to heal 5HP.
Other students will have med kits too, but they'll only give it to you if you killed them or its a student that doesn't want to fight and want to join up with you.
There will be one student has has a Kevlar vest as their weapon. If you manage to kill him or get him to join you, you can use the Kevlar vest to boost your max hp by 5. There's only one so first come first serve.

I thought I already put it in the example.
base hit: the lowest number. Since we start off with random numbers 1-3
you can increase your base hit so it would be 2-3. Think of it as accuracy.
Max hit: The highest number. You can increase your max hit so it would be 1-4. Think of it as your strength.
Depending on the number of people participating. I was thinking 35 or 40. That way other people can jump in ans use another student.

I'm going to have to say yes. You have to read at least the first 2 volumes or the first 16 chapters. If you're impatient then you might want to watch the movie. (It's not as good as the manga, but good in it's own right.)
