So, Colin has a "Military Ball" that he sort of has to go to, since he's in NJROTC (representing da Navy) and this may be his last year in ROTC. Some girl needs a partner-sort-of-person to go through this arch doohickey, and people told him, "OH! FROLICH! YOU SHOULD TAKE HERRRRR!"

Then, he called me, and asked me if it was alright, and I almost cried, hoping that he'd ask me to go with him, even though we'd probably wouldn't have a whole lot of fun. But no. He wanted permission. I said yes. He kept asking, "Are you sure? You don't sound like you're alright with it."
"Yes, Colin. Go ahead."
"You sure?"
"Yes."
"You sound like you're crying."
"I'm not..."
"Are you tired or something?"
"Yeah... I am. Tired. Yeah."
"Okay... are you sure?"
"Sure! Go with whatever-girl."
"See, my parents really wanted me to take you..."


God, retard. I wonder WHY your parents would want you to take me to an event that you'll never do again unless you rejoin ROTC.

I should. I feel guilty for lying to him. I hope that girl has a good time with him. He asked me, "You want to go, too?" I said, "Sure..."

but it sounds like, "Hey, you want to join me and this girl I barely know compared to you, my lovely Washoo?"

So, I talked to him. I guess he had already said yes to her, and he said, "Oh, but... it's just walking down the aisle through the arch! Nothing else! Oh well... If you don't feel alright... I could tell her I'm doing something with my parents that day."

Now, not only do I feel like a pig for lying to him, I feel selfish for this situation ending like that. I feel bad for that girl now. DX
