Raiden sighed."Archer...go have fun I'm in a good mood."He said twirling his new sword. He sheathed it.He connected to one of the cops's minds. He smiled largely.'your all going to die'He thought into his mind.Few knew it but he loved fear.He was particularly good at inducing it.He was sending waves of fear into the man.The cop started eyeing the area."Paranoid."Raiden said.
Archer saw one of the cops walk towards her, menacingly.
"I remember you. You're that psycho kid who blew up half our cars. I'm going to splice you for that."
"Actually, I think you'll find that wasn't me. But the principal's still the same. I hate you, you half assed interfering pigs."
"Hypocrite. You were a cop, way back when."
"Yeah. The best. You never even noticed I was the one stealing your weapons, hacking your files... Stupid bunch of incompetent doughnut munchers."
She was teasing him, taunting him, pre-empting a fight. Ruth wasn't as confident as Archer, but she sucked heat out of the air anyway in preparation.
"Right, that's it!" roared the cop, but Archer pushed him back with a steady hand.
"Whoa! Hang on there! There's one, two, of us, three if you count the dog. And one, two, three... six of you. That's hardly fair."
"So?"
"You're gonna get your fat butts kicked!" she laughed, and floored him with a Shifted blow to the jaw. The other cops threw themselves onto Archer, but she drew her sword on them and they backed away. Aika came up from behind on and slashed his throat out, her signature move, if you will. He had the strength left to turn round to shoot her with his Tazer, but she headbutted him into the floor and bit him from the front. Now knowing there were two real fighters, they advanced on Ruth. She backed away, but she wasn't fast enough. One grabbed her by the back of the neck, the other by her hands. She tensed up in pain.
"Do anything and we slice your little kid."
"I don't think so!" Ruth shouted, and she erupted in flames. This time, it was the cops who were screaming, now sporting singed eyebrows and flaming uniforms. She drew the heat back, leaving them in pain but not dead.
"Little kid? You wish. You just wish."
"Good work, Barbecue Girl."
"Not too bad yourself, Mrs. Doughnut."
Hey! What about me! thought, Aika, grumpily, her mouth covered in blood which you couldn't really see that well.
"How's that, Raiden?" she muttered, just in case he was listening.
