Haradhel nodded. "I'll be right back then," she smiled, and headed into the kitchen to get the promised drinks.

Serenity laughed. "Then I take it you like it here?" she asked in amusement. "What do you think of our world? How long have you been here?"
Elros chuckled again. "It seems you're ticklish," he murmured softly, his eyes growing slightly brighter, mischievous.

"Nuuu....." Lin cried out as she buried herself as best as she could able into Elros' arms.
If truth be told, she was ticklish in her sides and she knew it, but if she said yes, then she might be tickled.

"Oh, we just arrived last night, so we haven't been here for a day yet, but I like all the wide open spaces, though filled with more people," Feng grinned, "And later, we might go swimming with Aliya in the river... I like the river."
Well as a mer that was a given, but she liked being able to be in the river for starters.
Ryu shook his head as he took a seat, pulling his feet up to sit on them before turning back so he wouldn't run the risk of accidently tripping someone.

Elros set Lin on the edge of the table and leaned down so that his face was directly in front of hers. His icy blue eyes were sparkling mischievously, though his face was entirely expressionless.
"I should probably warn you," he said softly, "I'm an excellent judge of honesty ... of any sort of emotion, actually ... and I can see quite clearly that you are lying to me."
He sat back a bit again.
"If you do not wish to be tickled," he murmured, "you can tell me so. However, I do not like being lied to, and I do not like liars. In a case like this, I can forgive you, but I ask that you please refrain from doing so in the future." And he raised one eyebrow pointedly.
Serenity grinned at Feng. "So you've made fast friends, I see. That's good. Though it seems that the people here are different from many of the people I know ..." She rubbed the back of her head thoughtfully, then smiled again.
"But I'm glad you like it here. I take it you'll be sleeping in the river, then? As I recall, you have to spend at least some time in the water every day ..."

Feng nodded at that comment, "Yea, so we're going back with Aliya in teh evening, besides, it wouldn't be comfortable to sleep in a bed when you have a tail like ours."
She could understand why She didn't like to sleep in a bed, and a mer was no different in that case.

Lin studied Elros carefully, because he always could say everything with a straight face that it was hard to tell what he was thinking. She knew she had a habit of leaving things out (on purpose sometimes). After all, it was just about a tickle and most people never took that seriously, however the statement could be very well true.
He just didn't show any of his feelings, except his eyes, but who could trust eyes?
"If I promise not to can I go back on your lap?" she asked.
Since she found it more akward being put on the table and then being told not to lie again. It made it sound like she was being punished and she didn't like that.

Serenity nodded at Feng. "I can imagine," she smiled. "You know how many different places I've had to sleep, I know it's always the best to sleep where you're used to it."
Aliya jumped into the chair on the other side of Serenity. "It's fun to sleep in other places, too," she grinned. "I like trees, personally, though Mum sort of forbade it after I fell the third time."
Elros raised one eyebrow at Lin. "You can if you promise honestly," he replied, "and not just because I've asked you to."

Ryu tried to imagine Feng sleeping in a tree, it brought a very funny image of large fish tail dangling from a branch. Perhaps it would be a good idea if no one suggested that to Feng, rivers were safer for the most part. There was no way to fall down.
"Why would you sleep in a place you fall out of?" Feng asked curious.
Normally she would learn after the first time... most of the time.

Lin thought, and she had to wonder what that meant. The little brain cells in her mind considered this (perhaps it was the fault that Lin thought too logically though thankfully not logically enough to spout nonsense like Nina).
"Do you mean just say promise and not do anything? Or actually promise, because I always do what I promise. Just like I promise not to use any adult words until I'm all grown up kind of promise," she finally said, "Or do you mean promise just because you ask me to promise, and not because I want to promise? It's hard to promise something when a person doesn't ask."
Then again, with logic like that, it could be nearly bad as Nina, it even took Donovan a few moments to figure out what she had just asked.

Aliya blinked at Feng. "Well, I was really little when I first tried it," she explained, "and when I got older I had to try again to see if I could do it yet, and then when I built my first flet I had to try it again ... but then Mum told me I couldn't anymore, even after I put a bit of a railing around it."
She frowned.
"I still say I could do it now and not fall out."
Elros looked at Lin steadily. "I only want you to promise if you mean it," he replied, "because a promise made only to make someone happy means nothing at all. I would also like to believe that you would genuinely like to be an honest person, because liars have no honour, and I can't imagine that you would not like to have your own honour."

Ryu thought that Ulani was worried that her daughter might break her neck, though he didn't voice it. Though, he had to admit with a railing Aliya shouldn't be falling out, though most people wouldn't fall out even without a railing. It was some sort of odd response to the body in where they tended to not roll over the edge... most of the time.
"You should sleep on a raft on the river," Feng murmured, "At least you wouldn't break anything if you fell in."

Donovan looked away and pretended to have a sudden interest about Feng's comment about Aliya sleeping on the river. It wasn't that he wasn't interested in teaching his daughter about lies and honesty (though he would stay out of it being a hypocrite and all), but rather Elros had touched by accident the one subject that made Lin sore.
She never did forgive the ninja.
And indeed she had not, and still maintained that her goal was to show him exactly who was the better. It was pride that keeping her honour after that one decided it wasn't worth anything. Lin crossed her tiny arms over her chest, though her glare still looked like a pout unfortunately for her.
Now would be a bad time to tell her she looked cute Donovan thought to himself.
Lin Winters lifted her chin up to look back at Elros in the kind of look she had given Donovan all those months back when she was born. If being honest was the thing to be added to the list of values that made a good person so be it.
"I promise not to lie."

Aliya looked brightly at Feng. "What an excellent idea!" she exclaimed. "I've never thought of it. We do have a raft, just the right size ... perhaps I'll have to try it."
She poked Ryu on the shoulder. "I saw that look on your face - I never fell after I put the railings on, Mum wouldn't let me even try it then."
Elros smiled and nodded at Lin. "I believe you," he smiled, holding his hands out to her once more. "You have a true desire to be honourable, and that is the best a person can wish to be."

"Yes, but I can see where your mother is coming from," Ryu replied back with a grin, "But as all growns up tell us, wait till its your time."
Feng giggled at that, because he was so right, it seemed like all adults who were parents said that.
